How would you RD FoP on an EMH day (in Feb)?

AK is our first park planned for our 7 day trip in Feb, so I am assuming we will not get FoP FPs. The day we are going in considered a low'ish day on the crowd calendars but does have EMH in the morning (we usually avoid EMH and dont get hoppers). With the park opening at 8am... what would be your strategy to RD FoP on an EMH morning?

I would show up no later than 7:15 (really, 7:00 am would be better) and be in the front of the group entering the park for rope drop. CMs will walk the group entering over to the Pandora attractions.
We went in late September on an AK EMH day and arrived at about 7:00 am to the front of AK, were about 10 people back in line from the turnstiles. Got on and off FOP in one of the very first groups. It was worth getting up early to not stress about it later in the day!

1 hour before opening, so 7am. You could probably get away with 7:15 since it's that early.

I can't answer the rope drop question, but wanted to say that you should keep trying to get the FP. AK is our first park day for our trip in December. I did not get a FP for FOP on day 60 but I was able to get one today, just two days after my FP day.
