How much is your 2018 trip costing you?

Two nights at AKL and 7 nights at GF, DxDP, tickets, gas, dog boarding at home, spending money is around $11k. Damn, just typing that makes my stomach flip. We save the year before and pay it all at the beginning. This year, we are saving to 2019, so we don't notice it so much.

This is for two adults. I guess all things considered, it isn’t terrible. But man typing it all out sure made my eyes wide!

Total:
$4,557.66

for 2 people:
13 nights Pop! w upgraded Free dining
3 MNSSHP
2 EMM
2 CRT outside of free dining
plane tickets
etc

7k when all is said and done probably :(

The trip we just took (2 adults) ran us about $3000 for 4 nights at AKL, food, and 2 annual passes.

So our next trip (Pop) will cost us under $1k for 4 nights. No tickets, hotel is around $500, then $500 or so for food.

Going December 7-13th for my 50th birthday! Going with my cousin, but this is just what I am paying...

6 nights / 7 days at DSR water view with DDP = $1638.21

MVMCP ticket = $ 105.44

Flight on Alaska air from SFO = $434.41

total for flight, hotel and food $2178.06

Have no idea what my souvenir budget is yet, but i have been buying Disney gift cards here and there so those will add up in the end!!!

We are from the UK so have booked for November 2019. 2 adults and 2 children. Have changed the currency to dollars using today’s currency rate.

$4000 for 10 nights at CSR with the quick service dining and tickets included. We also get a $200 dollar gift voucher included in the package.

$2000 for flights from Aberdeen, Scotland.

€800 for spending money.

August 16-24

Poly for 8 nights - 2331.04

RT flight for 3 - 33.80 Tax, used miles

Upgrade to Premier AP for 3 - 1443.96
*not including the price for our Sig Plus DL APs since we were already getting those*

Food - TBD :hyper:

Since we have the Premier pass until July 19th, we are trying to plan another trip as well. Not sure about Thanksgiving week, week during Easter, or around 2 weeks in mid to late June 2019. I know Easter is crowded, so that’s probably out. We’ll see!! Darn those passes burning a hole in my pocket already and we haven’t even taken this first trip yet haha.

11/20 - 12/1, 2 Adults, DS12 & DS8
12 nights at Dolphin - $0 all on points

Airport car service - $300
Estimated food, drink & souvenirs - $4,000

Total - $9,880

This seems really high considering the room is mostly free, but it does include our whole AP costs so the next two trips will have nothing for that.

10/22 - 10/26 · 2 adults
$1475 = 4 nights at All Star Music (Preferred Room) & 5-day base tickets for both of us
$210 = 2 MNSSHP Tickets
$300 = Round trip flights (used points for 1 out of 4 fares)
$500 = Budgeted for food & merch

$2485 roughly. Ugh. But worth it. We'll also have around $45 in Disney Visa rewards by our trip, and we'll decline mousekeeping for the gift card, which will get us another $30. Every little bit counts!

It's too early to say (spring 2019) but the trip is booked and just waiting to apply a special offer. 9 nights at AKL for two adults and one child with 10 day park hopper plus dining plan. Estimate after special offer is applied to be around $5-6k. Flights are FREE :) But to board our dogs for that time will cost around $900. So we're looking at $6K- 7K.

I'm a little frightened to do the math and even more frightened to do the US$ - CAD$ conversion! :scared:

We are two adults and one “Disney” adult. (13 year old)

Flights YYJ-MCO return: $1002.79 each x3: $3008.37 however, we had vouchers from Delta so flights only cost $308.37
8 nights AKV DVC rental: $2163.00
2 nights BCV direct from WDW: $750.96
7 day park tickets: 2 tickets were through redeeming Airmiles, the 3rd was purchased. $429.06CAD x3: 1287.18 but out of pocket amount $429.06CAD, aprox. $330.00
MNSSHP x3 adults: $240.00
HEA Dessert Party x3 adults: $207.00
Star Wars Dessert Party x3 adults: $237.00
Tiffins ROL dinnner x3: $201.00 (pre-tax and tip)

So, before any meals (other than the ROL dinner) we are at just a hair under $7800.00 value for which we have paid out of pocket $4437.33

We've got quite a few ADRs booked:
Le Cellier dinner
50's PT lunch
Morimoto Asia dinner
LTT lunch
Sanaa dinner
Garden Grill breakfast
Rose & Crown dinner
Y&Y lunch
Boma breakfast
BOG dinner
SciFi lunch

I don't want to calculate how much our meals are going to cost but I'm estimating at no less than $3000.00 for meals. We don't buy a ton of souvenirs so I'll add maybe another $250 for that.

So, estimated value of approximately $11,000 with an out of pocket cost of around $7,700.00

Convert that to Canadian and it is around $14,300.00 ($10,000.00 oop)

:faint:

Forgot to add, bird boarding. 14 days @ $7/day, another $100 CAD.

Since I received a better deal on my hotel by switching to POFQ....

Solo trip, November 26th to December 6th

9 nights at POFQ - half in a garden view, half in a regular room - $1620
Park Tickets - $0 (AP Purchased last trip)
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (2 nights with AP discount) - $220
Holiday Wishes Dessert Party - $69
Candlelight Processional Dining Package (with tax and tip)- $50.25
Other Meals - approx $900 (including Tiffins, CG Brunch, nomad lounge, BOG & HWBD)
Souvenirs etc- $300

Total: $3,159.25 USD

I don't think I should convert it to CAD...

$4124.99 CAD

well... ouch. I hate exchange rates.

We’re a family of 5, so I feel like what we are paying is totally reasonable after seeing what other trips are costing. I am dreading the day when we have to start paying for tickets for all our kids though (ours are 4, 2, and 6 months for our trip next month.) I thought paying tickets for one this year was rough, but we may have to start going every other year once we have to pay for them all.

6 nights at the Poly in standard view room with tickets 9/2-9/8(1 adult 6 day PH & 1 child 6 day PH) - $2600
1 adult AP -$830
4 round trip flights - $1100
Food & Souvenirs - $0 (using Disney Visa Rewards - no TS meals and mostly packing lunches for picky eating toddlers, so only buying 2 QS meals for lunch and dinner, but lots of snacking most likely - hoping to stay around $800 since that’s what we have in rewards saved up)
Amazon Prime Now order ~ $100

We’re pretty low key without any extras, but for now we’d rather stay deluxe and not do all the extra than stay at a value or mod and splurge on parties and dining experiences.

Sept 8 - Sept 15
2 rooms at the Pop
Room 1 3 people with 6 day park hopper and with free dinning about $2600
Room 2 2 people with 6 day park hopper with free dinning about $2100 plus up graded dinning an extra 325.
Flight 225 x 5
Grand total a little over $6000

Sept 6-16th Contemporary Atrium Club Level, Theme Park View
2 adults and 2 girls ages 4 and 7
Memory Maker
Free Regular Dining Plan via Bounce Back
10 Days park hoppers (1 day of park hoppers are complementary due to Irma last year so purchased 9 days)
8 Days of CL FP+
Driving so no air fare
Total $12,946.32

We were able to upgrade to CL for a little over $600, with the $1700+ for the CL FP+ put us at adding $2300 to our trip but we were able to cancel a few dessert parties at $280+ each night plus decided to skip the Frozen one when released and shortened our trip by one night which took off $642 off the Standard Theme Park view room we had booked. The upgrade ended up costing us roughly $500 more but to get all the extra FP+ and Club Level seems like a pretty good deal. Only 29 more days to go!!

Just remembered ... gas will cost about $100 round trip, snacks maybe $50 for the drive and we have to board our Dachshund and Tuxedo cat which will be about $400.

9 nights All Star Sports week after Thanksgiving.
2 adults, 2 teens
10 day Park Hopper
Free QS dining upgraded to regular DDP
$4200 not including airfare

We are a group of 8 in 3 rooms but I am paying for myself.

8 nights at POR - Nov 10-18th
8 day MYW w/ park hopper - $1,500.00 for room and tickets. My best friend and I split our package in half.

Southwest round trip flights - $272/person

I will be bringing a gift card to use for all snacks, QS, TS and souvenirs for the whole trip. I merged all of the cards I got for my birthday and Christmas, which was a total of $750 and I will be adding $250 to that to get it to $1,000. Whatever I don't spend, I will use towards next years trip.

Haha fantastic! Enjoy, it’s the deal of the century!
I was actually looking for this thread the other day to ask the same thing because I kept wondering how that price was possible! We stayed at Poly in Feb with a good rate but it was in the 300s...I can’t believe a 200 rate! That’s amazing. That agency told me their prices are higher this year for Poly because I asked for Jan/Feb again, pretty sure they were about 400/night. So yes I agree it’s the deal of the century! haha

I stayed on the same deal in 2015. Paid, I believe, $202 for the Poly and $200 for BC. It was AMAZING!
