First time to Disney, so excited, but not sure we're doing it "right".

-4 nights at Shades of Green includes breakfast daily $395.
-3 nights at Animal Kingdom in a pool view room $868
-Roundtrip airfare for 3 on SW $987
-4 day park hopper Salute to Armed Forces for 2 (son will only be 17 months so he is free) $392
-1 day pass to Universal Orlando $216 (that's for 2 I'm not sure if baby is free here I'll have to check)
-MVMCP for 2 $195
-Baby's first haircut $25
-Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise $147
-Memory maker $149
-Spending money for meals et al. $1500
Estimates total $4844 wow

And evidently I got bit by the Disney bug recently because I just booked us on a 6 night cruise for May 2017 that came to $4833. A rough estimate for airfare there would be $1000.

We had to change our trip dates but somehow, we were able to get another night and the price of the package only went up $30.

December 21-27
5 people
CBR Standard View
Free Dining
6 day PH
$3870

I think we got a deal.

We will use a free hotel room on the trip back so our only other expense besides gas is $150 or so for hotel on the way there.

Yeah, we pull a similar stunt...after we burn all our DVC points our second trip for the year is at Shades of Green and we get to take a lot of additional family down and they pay their own meal plans and we can cover some of them with military park hopper tickets. It's amazing how easy it can be *IF* you take advantage of the opportunities available.

We don't mix stays, i.e., the Shades of Green stay is separate from our DVC stays. When we use DVC points, however, we will stay at 2 different resorts this October for 5 days each. The second week of January, 2017 we have a seven day stay at SOG.

Hard to say since we own DVC and have AP's (this will be our 3rd trip in 12 months with the AP's).

7 days/6 nights Poly Villas Standard View Studio...2 adults

$1000 for food and spending money (we do very little souvenirs)
$350 to board our two dogs
$150 gas in car round trip

Parents taking same trip but they rented DVC points to stay at Poly too:

$1200 for studio for a week
$300 plane tix round trip from NY
$1000 for food and souvenirs
$774 for Park hoppers

For 2 people this past June
$2229.00 Beach Club 5 nights which includes 5 day park hoppers
$149.00 memory maker
$138.00 HS dessert party
$700.00 this is a guess on food, shopping ect.
$552.00 round trip flights
$3,768.00 Total
Geee didn't realize we spent that much until I added it up lol :scared1:

This trip is just DD8 and I.

We are going 9/3-9/8, staying at Poly (standard view).
$1796 - Poly for 5 nights and 6 day tickets
$424 - Airfare round-trip
$300 - Food - I am guessing - we scheduled a few sit down meals, but are not big eaters.
$2520 total - plus anything else we want to purchase while there.

She told me the other day she is more excited for school to start than she is for our Disney trip. :crazy2:

This is my first post here and I found reading everyone's cost very interesting. This will be our first family trip to Disney. I grew up in Fl. so I have been to Disney more times than I can remember but we have never taken our kids there and it's been over 23 years since I have been there myself. Here the run down of our upcoming vacation...we are spending Christmas there :)

8 nights at a 3bd Treehouse in Saratoga Springs plus meal plan and 7 days of tickets for the 10 of us(me, my husband, and our 8 kids(ranging in age from 23 to 1 year old)
$19,417.00
Airfaire from Boston to Orlando
$3900
CampBowWow for the dog
$400
Cat sitter
$100
Airport parking for 2 cars
$300
Misc. food and gift money while at the park
$2000

Grand total
$26,117.00....not including all the tshirts I'm going to make before we go! LOL!! Oh and the price of 10 matching mickey jammies for Christmas morning :) This is hopefully going to be grand family trip and a very magical Christmas.

September 22-October 3 at Caribbean Beach Resort
11 nights with Free Dining promotion/9 day park hopper tickets/travel insurance for 3 adults and a 5 year old princess = $5606.32
Flight from Indianapolis = $240 x4=960
Tickets for MNSSHP for 3 adults and 1 child =$301.40
Total = $6867.72 or $156 per person/per day + spending money for odds and ends and souvenirs

There is actually 10 of us going in 3 rooms so we are putting in an approximate $250 grocery order for breakfast foods and snacks for the trip.

How cheap the flights are in the U.S is sickening, you guys are lucky! I can't believe how much we pay in Canada to fly in comparison. 800.00 CAD barely gets one person round trip to MCO from Edmonton, Alberta.

depends on what part of the country, I can never find great rates...

Sept 17-23 Two 1 BR SSR units for 7 nights $95 transportation fee each plus $65 gift certificate for in laws

AP renewals for 4 $2700
Inlaws bought 7D PH on their own
Rental car $400 (need large SUV to get everyone to FL)
Groceries $200
Food $1200
Activities $500 (going golfing, mini golf, etc)

Week thanking my in laws for all the amazing things they do for us totally worth the trip!!

We fly from Edmonton, and have never paid close to $800 each to fly to Orlando. Earlier this year we paid just over $1000 for two of us return, and for our upcoming early 2017 trip we paid $1200 for both of us return (with much better flight times so it was worth the extra $100/each - that's still only $600/person.

Staying a month at Fort Wilderness. We have annual passports, so tickets aren't an issue. We expect to spend about $5,000 including site fee, spending money, and eating out.

Just got back from WDW last week. My DD and I were in the parks for 4 days plus Typhoon Lagoon and stayed at AOA for 4 nights.

Airfare - $330 (used my Delta companion ticket so DD's flight was free)
Room - $594 (Little Mermaid room at AOA)
Food - $195 (we split just about every meal and snacked a lot)
Prime Pantry Box - $50 (snacks, water, cereal, etc.)
Souvenirs - $76 (we got to Disney so much we don't buy many gifts anymore)
Tickets - $ 400 (Years ago, I bought two 10-day park hopper non-expiring tickets with the water parks + for maybe $550 each)

So, cash outlay for the current trip was $1245 for hotel, airfare, food and souvenirs. And we used $400 worth of tickets that I paid for about 6 years ago. We've still got two park days left on those tickets, plus 8 waterparks days.

We booked our next trip using the 2017 Free Dining bounceback while we were at AOA. So next year, we're doing four nights at Pop Century with free QS dining.

So far it looks like this is my damage. We're going from 1/28/17 to 2/3/17, flying from Anchorage, Alaska to MCO. Taking Myself, My Wife, and my 2 daughters (8 & 11)

BoardWalk Villa Preferred Studio- $1,330
Park Tickets- estimated $1,400-$1,600
Airlines- Gonna book with mileage so 25k per person
Food- Don't even want to know!!
Souvenirs- More than I want to spend!

I think we're gonna pass on the dining plan since in order to make it worth the money, we would have to literally eat the best and most food possible. I think if we just eat casually with an occasional sit down dinner we would probably be less than $1,000. It seems like it would take away a lot of park time to have to visit a sitdown restaurant every night in order to get our money's worth on the DDP

according to my credit card statement...

POFQ/MWY park hopper (two adults, oct 22-29): 2,522.40
airfare: 851.00

budgeting for 400-600 for food/things. not a big "things" person, and food and wine so mostly food :jester:

were probably going to go with a prime pantry box to make up for the lack of food court/in room snacking. for my brother and i, we'll probably only need a box so another 25/30 dollars there. were decided to forego a town car to try it this way, so hopefully that pans out.

Just switched everything! Now going Oct 14-17. Just me and DW. Here are my totals:

Flight: Southwest points ( would have been $912)
Hotel and park tickets: Coronado Springs 4 day/3 night and 2 day park hopper $1192
MNSSHP $202
Food and gifts $300
We also have a $300 Disney gift card we will use for food, etc

Actually out of pocket cost: $1694
