Oh Jesus. I never realized how expensive of a child I am. :rolleyes1 Prom is coming up soon, so we'll see how bad that damage is soon enough.

Tickets: $80 couple (includes appetizers & dessert)
Tux: $137
Flowers: $40
Pix's: $40
Dinner: $40 w/ tip (ea)

My DS has a date, but they are friends who were going to go stag, so splitting the costs was reasonable to all parties.

Here is how the costs broke down:

They split the tickets-I paid for DS
Her Dad has a business where he had trade with a florist and he is taking care of the flowers.
Since he took care of the flowers I am paying for the pix.
Told DS I would pay for a Limo for his Sr. yr. He is only a Jr.
Looks like he will be driving or neighbor who works with exotic cars will play chauffer for the evening.
Dinner out - DS will pay for his own.

Tickets $200. a couple
Tux $75.
Shoes $35.
Limo $50. apiece (with 12 splitting)
Flowers $25 (corsage)
Photos $60.
Prom dress rolled up in a ball in a teenegers glove compartment: PRICELESS

At our high school the Prom is also held at a different location each year, usually 45 minutes to an hour away. Students drive to the High School for the Grand March, which is held in the Auditorium. They then board school buses to go to the Prom. All prom attendees must ride the buses to the Prom.
