I had never heard of Celebration, FL. When I saw the picture of the place you stayed I couldn't believe it was located in Florida. I did some Googling and it was interesting to read up about it. It looks like a really nice place to stay.

Thanks for sharing the pictures of your pins and that treasure map - those are both activities I'm looking forward to having my boys participate in.

I love your autograph book. It's so unique.

Following along! I am really enjoying your trip report. How do you think Disney Paris compares to Disney World Orlando? What are the biggest differences in the parks?

It feels the same and not the same . I was only at Disneyland Park yesterday, which is the equivalent to Magic Kingdon. When you're inside you feel the same Disney spirit. But there are a lot of differences, beginning with the castle, Magic Kingdom as Cinderella's castle, and Disneyland Paris have Aurora's castle. They have the same areas (except for liberty square) with the same theming but not exactly the same decoration, like in Adventureland in Disneyland Paris there's a big pirate ship (hook's one I think) on the water, or in Frontierland, Big Thunder Mountain is in the middle of the lake (the river boat goes around it) and so the attraction is different, you have a dark tunnel underwater in the beginning and the end of the attraction.
Some attractions are not on the other park, in Paris there's not Pooh's ride, and in Paris there's a Pinochio's ride. And for the attraction that exist in both parks they can be really different inside, it's the case for It's a small world, Pirates of the Caribbean (I think this two are better in Paris), the Phantom Manor (I prefered the Magic Kingdom one), Space Moutain (was closed yesterday but it's really not like the one in Magic Kingdom, there's at least on looping in it in Paris, and even the external look is different)...
I think I loved better Disneyland Paris than Magic Kingdom, especially Frontierland and Adventureland, this areas are much bigger here so there's a lot of shops and restaurants in the theming, like saloons in Frontierland, you can image cowboy will get out of the buildings.

Thank you. My pin collection grew a lot yesterday, I have 7 more, including two limited edition, one is the valentine's day 2015 of disneylandParis, and the other one was a trade with a Lion King fan I met in the park, he had only Lion King pin and when he saw my laniard he asked me if I had one, and I bought a Simba in Animal Kingdom (oops it's not in the report yet) so he was interrested in it and offered to trade it for a dumbo limited edition pin, I said yes, I'll find another Simba one day ^^.


I don't know when I'll do the report on my Disneyland Paris trip, I'll have to finish this one first. And I didn't took a lot of pictures because it was raining half of the day, so I couldn't take my camera out of the bag.

Tuesday 23rd december 2014 - Animal Kingdom : Part 4 - After the park

Hello everyone, sorry I take so much time between my posts. On the last one I was living Animal Kingdom, and on my way I stopped in a street of Celebration, Florida where there were some wonderful Christmas lights in front of the houses

And of course there was christmas music too . That was really beautiful. I love traveling around Christmas.

And when I was back in my room I took a picture of my pin

I bought Simba and trade for Daisy in Space Mountain.

Wednesday 24th december 2014 - Epcot : Part 1 - Future world west

Hi. Sorry I didn't update this TR lately, I'm working a lot (on my pin collection ^^).
Christmas eve, I planned this a little late and I wanted to see the Candlelight Processional so I looked for the package and I had no choice the only availability was for Marrakesh at 4:10pm, not really the time I use to eat a lunch or a dinner.
And for the fastpass+ I had Mission: SPACE between 1:00 and 2:00pm, Living with the land between 3:10 and 4:10pm and Spaceship Earth between 7:45 and 8:45pm. Epcot was the only park where I wasn't able to connect to the wifi to change my fastpass+ during the day.
Like every other day I was there early to take the monorail and arrived at Epcot just before the opening.

I took some picture of the flower characters (I don't know if there's a name for it).

Here I had a difficult choice to make, there were Cast Members asking people if they wanted to do Test track or Soarin first to guide them to the entrance of either future world east or west. And I had really no idea so I took five minutes and finally decided to go to the West first to do Soarin because Test track have a Single rider line and I thought that would be more efficient.
I did Soarin and then eat a little breakfast in the area (Sunshine season I think). Then I continued with Living with the land, it was after this one that I realized that I couldn't connect to the wifi here to change my fastpass, so I used a kiosk but there was nothing else so I kept Living with the land for a second ride in the afternoon.
Then I went to the aquatic area.

And I did The Seas with Nemo & Friends, it was nice but after Finding Nemo the Musical the day before it wasn't so amazing.
While I was in the building I took some pictures of the inhabitants

And this one came closer to say hi

And that was cool because now it was time for me to do Turtle talk with Crush . This was awesome, like totally sweet dude. I loved it, really funny to be in the human tank.
After this one I saw Captain EO and that was all for the West part of Future world. I could have done more but during all this day I did'nt do a lot of rides.I definitly should go back someday .

Great report so far! I am tentatively planning for us to go Christmas week 2015 So I have been trying to find December trip reports.

1) I was in jeans because I didn't prepare my trip well enough and I didn't know it would be so hot in Florida in december. I would have loved to have some shorts in my luggages. So that should answer your question, it's hot
2) It was sure crowded but nothing that bothered me, if you manage to have the attractions that have really long wait times (and for me long is more than 60 minutes) in your fastpass+ then there is no problem. For the attractions that were not in my fastpass+ I tried to do them only if they had a wait time less than 60 minutes. And it's not long, in Disneyworld I thought people were great in the lines, now that I'm going often in Disneyland Paris I keep hearing french people complaining about the time they are spending in the line, and that makes your own waiting seem longer.

Wednesday 24th december 2014 - Epcot : Part 2 - Future world east and World Showcase

Hi everybody (if you are still alive).
It's been almost 2 years since this trip, and I'm sorry I never finished this report. My life has changed a lot, I spent a year seeing Disneyland Paris at least once a month then I moved from France to Canada, so pretty much a whole new life, and I was back in Disney World last month, and I'd like to do a TR about it but to do so I want to finish this one first. But the memories are not what they could have been in the few months after the trip, so I guess I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.
So when I stopped writting this report I was just telling you about my day in Epcot and I was about to go to the east part of Future world, and who says east part says Test Track. I used the single rider line there, so it was pretty quick, I liked the idea of choosing your car during the queue and seeing the results during the attraction and at the end. And I took some pictures of the car at the end of the attraction.

Once I got out, after playing a little at the game there I decided that it was time to eat, because like I said in the previous post (more than a year ago but you'll remember it's only a few posts above) I had a reservation for Marrakesh at 4:10pm, so I prefered to do an early lunch, something quick at the Electric Umbrella. Then I staid in the area because I had my fastpass soon for Mission Space. So I took some pictures.

And then headed to Mission Space.

When I arrived there I discovered there was two lines for green and orange mission and saw that it was two different level of intensity in the experience. The green line was only 5 minutes, and since it was only the beginning of my fastpass time I decided to do it first, and then if it seemed too nice try the orange one with my fastpass. So I did that, and even if I was in the green line that is one of the wait in an attraction that scared me the most, because they kept telling how you shouldn't do it if you were afraid of confined space, and I'm not that afraid of it but keeping hearing it made me wonder if I was going to end up locked in a small box or something. But then I understood when I got in the "ship" because it's a confined space, but I was okay since it was not dark and you could breath in it. This green mission was so easy so I decided to use my fastpass for the orange one, and that was a completely different experience, the way the ship takes off, I was crushed in my seat, I was happy when it was over, didn't like that feeling too much.

After that I decided to go walk around the world. I must say I didn't do anymore attractions that day until Spaceship earth in the evening. Just walked around, eat, watch, took pictures and videos.
So on my way to the world showcase I stopped to take pictures of the christmas tree, but none of them was good, except this one of a small part of it to see the theming of this tree.

Then I started my visit around the world by Mexico.

Then Norway.

I was going to say back before the Frozen fever invaded the world but...

I keep walking and I was now in China.

It's hard to share those pictures of me 2 years ago, though I haven't change much so I don't know why (I think it was already hard showing myself 2 years ago in fact). But I was still on my way (to nowhere since I was just walking), and then it was Germany, with a little show, I don't remember it but there was some german words, it reminded me of high school when I used to have german lessons.

I saw Snow White there but wasn't ready to stand in line yet, but I was back later and did it, just wait and see. I loved the small village there.

Then my steps got me to Italy, and as a hopeless romantic I always dream about going to Venise someday so here is the picture I choose to show you.

I didn't take a lot of pictures in America, it was crowded as you can see.

So I kept going through it until Japan.

I love the Japan architecural style. Then I was in Morocco, I travel so fast here.

It was no time for my diner yet so I was still on my way around the world and was now somewhere more familiar... France.

I didn't spend much time here since I know the real one pretty well, but it was beautiful and reminded me of some walks I had near the actual Seine in Paris.

So across the bridge and hop I'm in the United Kingdom, and their famous tea.

I saw Marry Poppins there but didn't wait to have my picture with her. And I finished this walk around the world with Canada.

Back then I already had plans to move there someday, but it was still a dream so far.

Wednesday 24th december 2014 - Epcot : Part 3 - World Showcase

Hi everyone. So after I finished my walk around the world it was time for me to go back on my steps for my early dinner at Marrakesh. But I wasn't hungry and not a fan of oriental food so even if I don't remember what I had I don't keep a good memory of it, the server was not especially nice. So I don't have any pictures of all this experience, I eat quickly and had still plenty of time before the Candlelight Processional so just as I got out of the restaurant there was the meet and greet with Aladdin, I was lucky because the CM stopped the line just after the family behind me. This Aladdin was really funny, I think it was my favorite character interaction of this trip.

And I got his autograph of course.

Then I had still a little time before the show and Snow White was still in Germany and not far so I decided to join the line. And the CM that was managing the line so it don't get in the middle of the way was very nice, and to every foreign guests he asked what was the word to say "thank you" in their language to learn it because he considered that was the most important word, and he already knew twelve ways of saying it (of course I didn't learn him anything since "merci" was already known to him), and he also talked about how he loved Whoopi Goldberg and that he had been selected to sing three nights in the Candlelight Processional and he took the three when she was the narrator. So that made the line go pretty quick and it was finally my turn to get my picture with Snow White.

And I had her sign my book.

And then I decided that this CM was also an important part of the magic so I asked to have a picture with him too.

The picture is bad because I hadn't made the settings to take a picture at night before giving my camera to the CM who took it. And I also asked him to sign my book. After all they are a big part of the memories of a Disney vacation, in fact it was better waiting and talking to him than meeting Snow.

And after that nice meeting it was time to go take my seat for the candlelight processional. Isabella Rossellini was the narrator that night. That was really a beautiful show. I'm bad to take pictures at night so I'm going to share only one that is not the worst.

And that was all for that day, I went back to the room I rented in Celebration, and took a picture of my pins (no trade that day and Olaf was the new one).

The next day was christmas day so I decided to make it my second day in the Magic Kingdom. I'll tell you all about it very soon.​

Thursday 25th december 2014 - Magic Kingdom : Part 1 - Fantasyland and Tomorrowland

Hi again. I have some time so I keeg going on this report. So on this Christmas day I had thought that it would be perfect to make the day in the most magic place, I knew it would have been crowded but you know, magic comes at a price, and since it was the only park I had planned two days in I thought it would be okay even with the crowd, and it was, because anyway I started to be really tired of the week, still not yet good with the jetlag so I was okay with sometimes just rest in the park instead of wait for a ride. If I remember it right my FP were for Enchanted Tales with Belle, meet and greet Anna and Elsa, and Space Mountain, those last two were pretty late in the evening. And since on my first day I didn't stay late I had to stay to see the fireworks that night. As I arrived at the transport center, early before the opening I could see the crowd that there was going to be, one hour before opening there was 3 times the crowd that I had 3 days before on my first day in MK.
Since the first time I took the monorail I decided this time to go with the boat. And took some pretty beautiful pictures of the sun rising.

Since I had no FP for it, I started the day by going for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and it was already a long line there of 60 minutes. But I thought it was only going to be worst later so I waited, and I think it went more quickly than that, too quickly maybe, you didn't really have time to stop and enjoy the interactive things in the line. I didn't manage to get a clear picture at the dancing dwarfs in the ceiling, so here is a picture of the ride.

I didn't find it worse the wait, not as much thrill as some bigger rides, and not as much story telling as some slower ride. But at least I did it. After that I headed to Journey of The Little Mermaid.

It was pretty much a walk on, the crowd was still light in this morning. It was cute, I love the song. The wait for Ariel's grotto was too long for me so I decided to skip it, headed the other way and took a picture of Gaston's Tavern's fountain.

Gaston was near but I didn't felt like waiting for that guy. I met Merida during that day, but since I can't remember at all when it was I'm going to assume that it was around that time, so here is the picture.

Then (or maybe not, after hanging around fantasyland anyway) I walked through Storybook Circus.

But nothing there was really interesting to me and it was really empty except for a few kids playing with water.

So I decided to leave that area to explore the future in Tomorrowland. I did tomorrowland speedway, Stitch Great Escape (I think it was fun though I read a lot of bad things about it after my trip) and Buzz, maybe not in this order, So here is a picture of me really focused on Buzz"

After that, and a lunch that was probably before those rides, I went to see Enchanted Tales with Belle, it was cute.

I really like Lumiere in this show, really well done. And it was now around 4pm if my memory is correct, and I was tired so I only spent the rest of the afternoon walking and resting in the park, I did some shopping too, I bought my first Disney shirt, that is still my favorite today and that you'll see on the pictures of my next day in Hollywood Studios. But I'll have to finish this part before, and it will be for a later post which be almost all about princesses. See you soon​

Thursday 25th december 2014 - Magic Kingdom : Part 2 - Princesses and Space Mountain

Hi people who are not following this old trip anymore (that's okay I just do it for me). So at the end of last post I was taking a long break from the middle afternoon to dinner time, I ate something quick, and then I still had some time before my meet and greet with Anna and Elsa but I noticed that the two other princesses had a wait time that I considered short enough for me, so I entered the Princess Fairytale Hall and took pictures in the line.

I could totally imagine have this kind of decorations in my home someday. After the line I met Rapunzel and Cinderella.

And got both to sign my book.

I had still some time before meeting Anna and Elsa, but just before that I had to watch the fireworks from beside the castle. Some people like it from there, but I didn't, it was not that good to have to turn back and forth to see the part that was above the castle and the part that was behind. And makes it hard to take pictures. After that was time to my FP for Anna and Elsa.

And two more autographs in my book.

After so much princesses it was time for something a little more tough : Space Mountain. But my FP was not for right now, so on my way I stopped at the Mad Tea Party, and while I was turning in my cup I heard a metalic sound at some point, and when I got out of there a kid asked me to trade pins, and as I looked at my lanyard I realised that my very first pin I traded was missing, so I realized the sound I heard was it falling of. So I asked a CM of the attraction if they could look really quick after the next turn was finished in one the purple cup but they didn't find it. I was kind of sad, and felt stupid to be sad over just a pin but I was tired and being at Disney had woke up the child in me. After half and hour I decided to go back on the cup, and while I was waiting in the line I noticed that even if the cup don't end at the same spot they started, the same group of cups did, so I was able to get in the same cup I did before, and found my pin still there on the floor, and I was happy again and ready to end my day with Space Mountain.

And that was the end of my christmas day. I went "home" and took a picture of my pins, Alice is the one I bought, and I traded Mowgli and Pinnochio.

Friday 26th december 2014 - Hollywood Studios : Part 1 - Let's rock

Hi again. So this is the start of my last day in Disney World. I decided to wear my new shirt with the Genie on it saying "I'm here what are your other two wishes?", a photograph asked me for a poney that day. It was my very first Disney shirt, and though I have many of them now it's still my favorite. But enough with fashion, let's start this day, I arrived in front of the park really early as usual, something like an hour before it opens (got to make the most of this last day right). And that gives some pictures with no one on the way.

I can't tell you at all what were my FP of this day, there was a least Beauty and the beast and the frozen sing along and I knew after I used my third one I was able to get one for fantasmic, but I knew that the attraction that I really wanted to do that day was :

So I headed on this side of the park as soon as it opened. I didn't know what to expect so I wasn't really scared, and had a lot of fun.

As you can see the girl screaming on the side surprise me and made me turn to see at the wrong time but that made me laugh a lot. When I got out I stayed in the area for :

Here again a lot of fun but a little more tense.

It became my two favorites rides in Disney World, but now that I've been to Disneyland Paris, my favorite Disney ride is the tower of terror there, it's much better than the one in Hollywood Studios, more surprising on the first drop, and I think more up and down. After that I left this area and went to the pixar place.

I wanted to do Toy Story Mania but the wait was too long for a early morning, so I didn't do it, and wasn't able to do it the rest of the day (but done it on my recent trip woohoo). So I came back on my steps and decided to do :

I liked it but I prefer the ride in Magic Kingdom. Then I went on the central area in front of the hat (yes it was there back then) and got a picture.

See the shirt . It was now time to go on more adventures, this time on a galaxy far far away...

When I got out of the ride and into the shop I finally discovered that my very first traded pin (the one I almost lost in the previous post) was from a star wars set, and discovered later that it's the symbol of the mandalorians, and also later discovered that it's a fake pin but I keep it anyway because you know it was the first. I went back in the evening to this shop to build my own light saber. When I was out I saw there was the show happening :

And I was so jealous not to be a kid anymore. Next to that was Indianna Jones, but either it was not time for a show or I had a FP for another show because I didn't go there at that time. Instead I went back in the direction of ToT because I had soon the Beauty and the Beast show to see, but on my way I stopped a little to feed my Frozen mania.

But I managed not to buy a thing. And on my way to the show. I decided here to enjoy the show completely and not to watch it through the eye of my camera, but still took a couple shots, here's one.

That is a really good show, I sang a lot though I know more the french version of most Disney song except for Frozen that I saw more in english (because of the cast, I had the chance to see Santino Fontana on broadway before, and Idina Menzel that I saw on Broadway since...). After the show I went to ride the Great Movie Ride.

It was really funny, I was not expecting the CM guide to change during the ride. After that it was time to go see the Indiana Jones show.

It was like I already knew that show, so I wonder if it played in Disneyland Paris when I was a kid or if I saw videos of it from Disney World when I was young.

Friday 26th december 2014 - Hollywood Studios : Part 2 - Let's sing

Good morning. It's a good day starting before a three days weekend. Maybe I'll even have the time to finish this report. I named the first part of this day "Let's rock" because of the Aerosmith ride, now this one stay in the music with "Let's sing", though I already said previously that I was singing during the Beauty and the Beast show, there is more to come (but you're lucky you won't hear me sing on the pictures). But before that I walked into the streets of America.

The Christmas decorations were kind of in the way of this picture but when I saw the result at night it was totally worse it. After the streets I went to see kids playing in the snow.

That's amazing what they did there. After that I stayed with the theme and used my FP for the Frozen sing along.

I have some videos of this, I don't show them to people because being the closest to my camera the voice we hear the most on them is mine, and it's not really good but it's funny. And the show beside the songs was also very funny, I think that's what made me laugh the most on this trip.
When I got out of there the night had completely fallen, and it was just the beginning of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, so I just stayed there (I was stuck in the middle of the street anyway with the crowd) and enjoyed what had been the most beautiful sight of this trip, I can't believe they won't do it anymore. My favorite was the song carol of the bells, the way the light matched the sound it was just wonderful, it became my favorite Christmas song (and sometimes outside christmas too), I'm listening to it right now. So without more words here are some pictures.

Just remembering it now could almost bring tears in my eyes. And after that I had to go at the other end of the park for the last thing of this beautiful last day in Disney World : Fantasmic.

That was a great way to end this trip, a beautiful show and an amazing day full of music and lights.
Sorry that it took so long, and I realize that I have forgotten some things in that day because I have pictures with Lightning Mc Queen and some with the monsters from Monster inc.

Conclusion​

So it took me a year and 8 month to finish this trip report, I apologize once again to those who wanted to follow it but were disappointed when I stopped. But I finally made it. All the pictures I took during this trip are here. Because I only selected a few here to illustrate my words.
After my last day in Disney World like I said in my introduction I took the plane because my vacations were not finished, I had a week to spend in New York City, to celebrate my 30th birthday there.

As much as I loved this City the other times I went there it felt a lot less magical after a week in Disney World, but I still enjoyed it a lot, especially by seeing three musicals in Broadway, including one with Idina Menzel (yes Queen Elsa herself). I saw Hugh Jackman really quickly at the exit of the theatre is was playing at at this time. All the pictures of this trip are here.
At the end of the album you can see a few pictures that are not from New York, on my travel back to France I took the train from Paris airport to my city, but I had a change of train in the next train station after leaving the airport, with enough time to go out and took pictures of : Disneyland Paris since this train station is just in front of it.

I think it was a sign, and not long after I got home I finally decide to buy an annual pass for Disneyland Paris, after all from my city I was only three hours of train from there. And I took my first train ticket to use this pass for march of 2015, but I couldn't wait that long and in february just the day before valentine's day I decided to go the 14th february, and found a carpooling with a couple who was going there just for the day so I was able to do the round trip with them that was so easy. And that's how started a new adventure with Disney, and I went there at least once a month, and met a lot of pins collectors, remember how I ended this trip with 9 pins, on my first day in Disneyland Paris I almost doubled it, not even two years after I have probably more than 200 Disney pins, and maybe half of it is in my collection and the rest is for the trade. But I slowed it, because of another event.
In september 2015 I received my confirmation for the permanent residency in Canada, after more than a year and a half to wait, so I had to decide when to move, I had until september 2016 to do it, my brother was about to have a baby, and my bestfriend was about to have her second daughter, so I decided to wait and took my one way plane ticket for may 2016, it will very soon be 6 month that I'm here, far from Disney (that's why I slow down the pins collection), but I was able to go to Disney World last month, and now I'm already thinking about my next trip there. But this is a story that will wait for my new trip report.
