There's hundreds of Christmas songs but on all the radio stations it's the same 20 or so songsanther thing I hate it seems like all radio stations are owned by one company, and they will have oe rhalf of them do nithing but holiday music, and its so fake they are all on the computer track and all have the same songs at the same time
I remember as a teen working in the grocery store when my younger brother got a job there also, he said he counted in his 4 hour shift, 34 versions of Chestnuts Roasting... playing over the system. There's hundreds of Christmas songs but on all the radio stations it's the same 20 or so songs
Do people actually do that anywhere other than in movies? I have never heard Christmas Carolers.Carol singers, who only know one verse (if that) of any Carol. If you don’t know the words to the Carol, please don’t knock on my door.
Yes, very much so, in Wales at least. Sometimes it is Church or Youth Groups, raising money for their organisation. Other times random youngsters basically begging. No money from me, unless you know at least the second verse!Do people actually do that anywhere other than in movies? I have never heard Christmas Carolers.
DS wanted to try making mojitos for Thanksgiving. I run in the liquor store for rum and the peewee football kids (very wisely) set up from that door with about 1/2" clearance. We drop $5 in. Next we run into Homegoods to buy a mortar&pestle. That cashier asks if I'd like to donate to blahblah. I say no thank you. She rings up my item and next asks if I'd like to round up.Don’t give me the evil stink eye when I say no thank you when you ask me Do you want to round up for “whatever charity”? on every transaction I do.
The Bell Ringers, I hate you
Especially right now when people are trying to distance from each other.Stop stuffing all of your aisles with "Extra" crap. *Looking at you Target* I can't get my cart through!!!!!
I remember caroling with organizations, and also with friends for beer money . Our HS choirs used to do it for fundraisers, and the top one could be rented for parties. I haven’t heard of people caroling for years now.Yes, very much so, in Wales at least. Sometimes it is Church or Youth Groups, raising money for their organisation. Our Girl Scout troop always caroled, but we didn’t collect any money. We just did it to entertain.I remember caroling with organizations, and also with friends for beer money . Yes, same here, with various groups. I've never actually heard of it being done for donations. I must say though, it's probably more fun for the people doing it than it is for the people listening - IMO.Our Girl Scout troop always caroled, but we didn’t collect any money.
