Hillary! Everything looks amazing and you were so beautiful! I keep telling DF that the I'm going to get my hair chopped when we hit the cruise ship. I'm ready to hack it all off now. How very Katie Holmes of us, lol.

Anyhow, is it just me or does the flame in this picture look a bit like Mickey ears??? Am I just crazy. It's okay if I am, you can call me crazy! :upsidedow

in our carriage!

I am SO glad we decided to do this. I was afraid that it might come off cheesy, but I LOVED it. It was a huge hit, and the guy ended up being late, because our city Christmas parade was that afternoon. Well it was a good thing, because he didn't get there until after pretty much everyone was seated in the church, so when everyone walked out he was sitting there and it was a surprise. The ride from the church to the reception was only maybe 5-10 minutes, but it was so nice. We had a few minutes to ourselves, and go to relax. And cars were passing us and rolling their windows down and clapping, and honking, it was so cool.

we did a sparkler entrance, instead of exit. It was AMAZING. Like a movie or something. But I hate that this was one of those moments that just FLEW by. I was concentrating on walking and not tripping over my dress, and just the excitement of it, and I didn't take in all the details of that moment, walking through all those sparklers. But we STILL get comments about how awesome the carriage and sparklers were.

We went in and had a chance to take a look around, it was BEAUTIFUL. Everything was just amazing. I'd seen most of it already, because we had gotten ready there that afternoon, but seeing it ALL set up, and knowing this was MY WEDDING, it was crazy. We did a receiving line which took forever, but I'm glad we did it because we got a chance to talk to everyone, and I didn't have to worry about doing that later on, and could just have fun.

the recieving line...

after we finished that, they made us sit down at our own little table and eat a little bit, which was nice. They wouldn't let us get anything ourselves, we just had to sit, so that was cool. people by that time were already done and a few beginning to leave, so we went ahead and cut the cake...

I LOVED my cake. LOVED it. That and my flowers were my favorite I think. It was all butter cake, and the bottom layer was rasberry filling, the second was strawberry, and the top 2 were just buttercream frosting. And sadly I never did taste any. She made our anniversary layer separate, but I don't remember what I ordered. I think its yellow cake with chocolate frosting.

We also cut DH's AWESOME Nintendo cake. he was in love with it.

after all that we just talked to people and mingled some. then people wanted to see us dance, so we went out on the front porch where the dj was. We had decided not to do all the traditional dances, but we did just do a dance together. Of course it was "Don't Stop Believin", by Journey.

Which reminds me, I forgot to mention how that song came into play during the ceremony. We both got to know Bob, our minister pretty well during our pre-marital counseling at the church. Well during his sermon in the ceremony, he mentioned a few littler things about us, and also about how Patrick sang a special song to us at our rehearsal the night before. And how relative and fitting that song was to us, even in the spiritual sense. Don't ever stop believing in each other. It was all SO sweet, and I loved that. I was a little nervous up there in front of everyone, and that totally made me laugh and relaxed me. I loved it.

anyway...dancing...

I'm so glad we picked that song. Even though its not the best song to slow dance to, we had SO much fun. We sang to each other, and everyone crowded around and sang along as well. SUCH a great memory.

and this was one of the most special moments too. Back in high school, my best friend Elizabeth (since age 4!) and I had this song, "The Earth, The Rain" (something like that) by Color Me Badd. COMPLETE dorks, but we used to lip synch it and made up hand motions and stuff. Just a stupid thing we did to make each other laugh. Well she requested it, and "sang" and danced to me at the reception. (shes in the middle) It was hilarious, but I had to hold back tears. I had forgotten about that song, we've been through alot over the past few years, but we mended things and I was so happy she got to be in the wedding.

DSCF0364.jpg

me trying to sit, all bustled up and tied up in that dress...

DSCF0367.jpg

then we did the bouquet and garter toss.
I had already told my other best friend Christy that I was throwing it AT her. She and her bf have been together 7 years, and no ring yet. It's a bit of a joke amongst our friends, so it was very funny.

and our friend Chris got the garter. Our lone single guy.

and we did a "fake" exit...our photographers were leaving, so we got out the bubbles and pretended to leave...

DSCF0395.jpg

we went back and danced for awhile longer, pretty much everyone was gone except our close friends and family. I didn't want it all to end!

It was the MOST magical night of my life. Nothing really went wrong, I was nervous all day, but it was excited nervous, and I had a blast with my bridesmaids and my mom. The ceremony was BEAUTIFUL, and the reception was a blast. I couldn't believe that I was actually MARRIED though. We got a kick out of saying that all night, "youre my HUSBAND!". It was all surreal in a way. That is one thing I remember thinking, that it was almost like an out of body thing, I had to keep bringing myself back to reality. It was just a strange feeling I guess. But SO beautiful.

That night we stayed at the B&B, they brought us breakfast in bed the next morning. And then we went to my parents house for lunch, all my grandparents and aunt were still there, and Andy's parents and brother came over. We opened ALL of our gifts, holy crap were there a TON. And just spent the afternoon with everyone before we left the next day. So nice, and I'm SO glad we decided to wait until Monday to leave. That extra day was great. We had to RUSH to get everything packed that night, and get to bed early, because we wanted to leave by 6 to head to DISNEY!!!!!!

And that is coming up next. I need to get off here, my HUSBAND will be home soon and we have to pack again, tonight. We're going to Mississippi to my grandparents house for New Years. My parents are already there, and we're having our family Christmas on Saturday. So I have a ton to do. But I will start on the trip report next week when I get home!!!

Hope everyone has a Happy New YEAR!!!

The wedding looks like it turned out beautiful. Your flowers are beautiful; the peonies were such a great surprise. I really liked the tree and decorations at the church. The sparkles were also such a great touch and the rest of the reception looked beautiful too! Congratulations on your marriage!!!!!!!!

Hillary- you were such a BEAUTIFUL bride and you both look so happy, which is really what it's all about. I love your dress and I love your bridesmaids dresses (Bill Levkoff = :thumbsup2) Your description of your wedding day made me all teary eyed... CONGRATULATIONS!!! :)

I have read your entire PJ and loved it! You were a stunning bride! Please let us know when you get your Trip Report done!

Hi everyone! And Happy New Year!! Hope everyone had a great one. We left Friday morning for my grandparent's house in Mississippi. LONG drive, took about 8 hours. We had our Christmas with all of them on Saturday, which was fun...actually felt more like Christmas than the actual day did, since this was the first year we weren't actually at my grandparents house on Christmas morning. Anyway, we had a great time, we went to Graceland in Memphis on Monday, New Years Eve. We've been a few times, but DH never has and it was very cool. It was all decorated for the holidays, and beautiful. I'm not a huge Elvis fan, but it's still very interesting. Anyway. We got home late on New Years Day.

And I've FINALLY got pictures uploaded to start my trip report! Hurrah!!

Just a word of warning though...I know that everyone does it, but I didn't take any “food porn” pics. DH wouldn't allow it, so, oh well. BUT, I did find some generic pictures on the food boards. Just so I have something to show. Dorky? Yes. But oh well.

I'm getting the rest of my pics uploaded and I'll be back soon with the TR!

Hillary, I just got caught up on your TR (been soooo busy wedding planning!) but everything looks totally amazing... you have some absolutely gorgeous pictures and your wedding day looked amazing! I cant wait to see your Disney pics!

YEAH:cool1: Loved the start of your TR! I know that feeling when you get to WDW! I take that same picture EVERY time we go!!::laughing:

DF and I had our 1st trip to Disney and stayed at WL- it is great isn't it!

Cant wait to read more!
