I am a long term poster but don't like posting medical threads under my username for privacy reasons. I am a young adult, relatively good health (slightly on the overweight side, but my cholesterol numbers are good, blood glucose is good, however I was diagnosed as prehypertensive at 16, and have monitored my bp 3x daily since that time. I was put on meds at 18 as my bp progressed to stage I hypertension even with diet/exercise.
I am now away from home with no access to my doctor. All week my bp and resting heart rate have been crazy high but I have no symptoms or anything. My last six bp readings have been 154/102, 168/99, 174/108, 176/92, 186/98, and 172/96. My resting heart rate has ranged from 99-145 beats per minute all week long, jumping into the 200s to 220s at certain times. Is this something I should be concerned about, or can I wait for now since I'm young and otherwise in relatively good health?
