Help with PES format for Disney embrod. machine

I bought one of those Brother Disney embrod. machines. I love it to pieces.

I also bought a PED basic but have run into some problems with it.

Basically I want to take my Mickey clipart images that are in JPEG, Gif and bitmap format and make them into a PES format that I can download onto the PED basic kit and make my own designs.

I have tried several times with different programs to convert my images to a PES but no matter what I do nothing seems to work.

In short, how do I make a image into a PES? Do I need a special software program? Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately with the basic software you can not do any digitizing. The basic software will only allow you to do some editing. You will have to buy the software that is the next step up. Here is a link to Brother's website with a description of their design software.

Thanks, I was afraid that I would need something else. I priced them on the internet and the digitizing software is completely out of bounds on my budget.

I rather go to DisneyWorld then lay out 1,200.00 for software!

Heard that! I too have that Brother machine and that, along with the 4X4 hoop size are my only complaints. I can live without the digitizing, but the hoop bugs me.
