during Thanksgiving or Christmas ?

no, but one time I left on Dec 26th

No but I threaten to go every year for Christmas.

Actually I was at an end of a vacation on Thanksgiving but our Thanksgiving is in October.

yes many times!
i grew up going to WDW in the last 2 weeks of november.

i've never gone on vacation on xmas eve or xmas day but i did go to WDW on december 27th.

Yes. Last year the fiance's family took all of us to Puerto Rico for Thanksgiving and this year we are going to Turks and Caicos over Christmas and New Years. We are Jewish so traveling over Christmas isn't a big deal. We also often vacation coinciding with Hanukkah if it is during the 24-2. The biggest reason why is it is the one time everyone in the family is off ajd can get together and no one's house comfortable fits the 16 people for more than just a dinner.

As a teen we went to Clearwater for Christmas a couple times. This Christmas my Wife and I are taking the train to Chicago for Christmas. Last month we stayed at the new Virgin hotel on the Loop and absolutely loved it. This will be their first Christmas so I think it will be something special.

We took my mom to Vegas once for Thanksgiving. We agreed to skip the cooking and just go out to eat, but she missed her dinner so much she ended up cooking a full Thanksgiving feast after we got back :-/

Last year we were on vacation in New York for Thanksgiving. Of course, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here so we weren't offending any relatives and instead just got to experience an additional, wonderful holiday in the best possible way (Macy's parade, turkey dinner at the Rockefeller Center and a Broadway show)!

We went to Hawaii for Christmas a few years ago. We have good family friends who were living there at the time and we celebrated Christmas dinner with them. I didn't even put up a tree that year because we to my parents when we got back and celebrated late with them.

No, I don't think we've ever been on vacation right ON the holiday. We've been to WDW three times at New Years. We don't travel at the holidays now--we usually have Christian come home for a few days at Thanksgiving and Christmas and we can't really travel with him anymore.

No, I think it would break my father's heart if I wasn't around on a holiday lol. I would love to go somewhere over Christmas, maybe a cruise.

Ducking away from the family now before I go into a food coma.

Yeah. I've spent Thanksgiving and Christmas in Las Vegas - both as a kid and an adult. I'm pretty sure we were in Reno on Thanksgiving at least once in my childhood. And yes the buffets have turkey. I guess casinos are a common occurrence for Thanksgivings in my life as I've spent at least three Thanksgivings at tribal casinos with my parents or with my wife. We've even had Thanksgiving dinner, a little gambling, and then Black Friday shopping.

Two Thanksgivings ago it was The Cosmopolitan's Wicked Spoon buffet in Vegas. $50 per person and worth every penny. The line was maybe 3 hours, but we had friends who already gotten a table and the staff let us in to join them without having to wait in line. They had at least three different turkey preparations. This says that one year it was the most popular Thanksgiving restaurant in the country:

#9 was Be Our Guest at WDW.

A few years ago we had Thanksgiving dinner at the Plaza Inn at Disneyland. We got to Disneyland at about 1:30 PM and were headed for San Diego that night for SeaWorld the next day. We could have either eaten at Disneyland or tried our luck on the road. Since it was Thanksgiving, we figured that our options would be limited.

Yep, turned 13 in Australia at the end of January after spending Christmas there too. It was a great vacation with my dads side of the family. Saw a LOT of the country too.

I had to think about it, and no, I don't think I have ever been on a vacation during Thanksgiving or Christmas.

I did five or six "duty" vacations back east for Christmas to see my family while living in L.A. But I never considered them as an obligation or sacrifice. My immediate family wanted to go.

Other than that, no, never been on vacation over the holidays.

Christmas 2013 - took mum's ash to the UK and had a blast, Christmas 2014 - went back to the UK so that I didn't have to spend Christmas here. This will be my first non jet lagged Christmas.
