Have you ever been evacuated from a ride?

My DH and I experienced a first at WDW -- we got evacuated from a ride. We were on Splash Mountain when a traffic jam became longer and longer. Finally the music and animatronics turned off and we were told a CM would be out to assist us. They had to manually open the lap bars and we all went out back stage where we got a FP. No clue what the issue was.

Yes, splash mountain as well we almost to the big drop. We went out a back entrance saw where they kept floats for the afternoon parade and received a fast pass. Also at DisneyLand happened on the Snow White ride but no fast pass :(

Man I was wishing I would be evacuated from HM the other day. After 6 rounds of sudden stops and having to keep hearing "playful spooks have interrupted our tour" and "unavoidably detained by playful spirits" I was more than ready for them to come and get us!

Big thunde evac. They took us backstage and under the ride. There was a broken machine and greasy overalls labelled tweedle dee and tweedle dum hanging next to it as though they broke it.

:):):)
Haven't been evacuated but want to say that 7DMT is not supposed to be only for little kids as some on the boards say. Although it's a "family coaster", it's supposed to be of interest to everyone, as opposed to The Barnstormer which really is supposed to be just for kids

Totally true on 7DMT. And I agree on Barnstormer being a junior/starter coaster, although I did ride it once just to say I did.

I've been evacuated off of big thunder and splash mountain. Big thunder was right before the drop and we were taken back through the mountain. Splash mountain may have been the worst. We were stuck right before the drop to the laughing place, but could hear the song for the 30-45 minutes we were stuck. We were never evacuated, but wish we were.

Interesting how it seems to be a lot of the same rides being evacuated. We've gotten stuck quite a few times with the longest (about 20 mins) on Splash. Never evacuated though. Almost disappointed by that. Lol

DH and I were evacuated from POTC a few years ago. We were stopped in a jam right before the jail scene and sat there for about 30 mins before they got to taking us off. We got a little backstage tour of the ride on the way out and had to walk around the back of the building to get back in the park, that was pretty interesting. We got two any attraction FPs.

We were evacuated on POTC (2012) after a woman fell into the water upon exiting... the scary part was a boat ran right over her...

The ambulance/medical people were (doing their jobs) and people behind us evacuated through a side door, we had to "jump" from our boat to the one in front of us, and walk right by the medical team...

The weirdest part of all, (aside from whatever happened to that poor woman) was you really saw Disney-behind the scenes spring into action... there was NO way the people behind us knew anything really because the CM was singing pirate songs with them while they waited and they were escorted through a side door. The medical crew came in a different side door and took the family of the woman out that way with them... the CM helping us was handing out FP's like it was going out of style, (before FP+) and the men in suits were coming down the exit ramp (motorized ramp thingy) as we were going up...

We didn't use the FP's we gave them to a family about 20mins. later, it was DH's first time at Disney almost last ride of the day... he was freaked out by that one and wouldn't ride another ride!

Never been evaced from a ride that I can remember, did get stuck on HM though when your car turns backwards and goes down the incline for about 10 or so minutes. Not the most comfortable place to get stuck, but probably better then having to be escorted off that part.

Oh gosh! was she ok? Sounds terrifying.

We have only been evac'd once, thus far and fingers crossed for continued good luck. It was 2012, February and after nightfall. We were on the first lift hill at Expedition Everest after riding 4 times previously as the sun started to set, which is just the best time to ride EE. So pretty. But that night it was freezing, and we were sat up there for about 40 minutes. Getting out on that hill was terrifying, and I proceed to freak out on the poor DCP CM as I just can't handle heights, so they walk us back down the mountain instead of up the mountain as they would normally. That cast member was a treasure though and kept telling me about hidden mickeys on the hill to get me to calm down.

We were issued fp's on the way out and used them when we went back to DAK later that week. I'm so pleased we did get back onboard though, hopped back on the horse so to speak. It stopped the fear setting in and its now one of my favourite rides at WDW.

We got evacuated from Dinosaur a few years back.... computer issues. It was cool. But the CM started to get annoyed that so many people were trying to take pictures! :rolleyes1 She said it wasn't allowed.

Sort of. We were on Mission Space but the ride didn't start. Then we were escorted out.

Me, my mom, and my sister did get evacuated from a roller coaster in Six Flags Great Adventure once.

Hm, well I guess I'll be carrying my little flashlight with me at all times, next time I go.

Winnie the pooh in the rain room at midnight on a Christmas party... took a lot of time away, and of course no FP..
The ride in the ball at Epcot. Worst one ever, next to the paperboy. for like 35 minutes leaning completely back, listening to the same thing, then having to walk down with my then 4 year old.
Indy in DLR. we were about 25 feet from the end of the ride, and all of the cars just broke. like completely not moving, no electronics, anything. They had to come release us, walk us along the path. by 11 year old thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Cars in DCA we were just getting in the car, twice! we got in, they shut it down, we got out, got FP. we came back, got in, and bam, ride broke again! took us 4 tries to ride it once that day.

During my trip earlier this year my Best Friend and I were evacuated off of BTMRR. We received a free FP and got to walk through part of the utilitdors and then under the ride. It was pretty awesome. Some people who have not been before were upset but I was just happy I got to see back stage!

Should have mentioned when we got evacuated form Radiator Spring Racers we got an anytime FP for the Racers which actually sucked. My mom wouldn't go back on it and then I never got back over there either.

Wish it had been a any ride FP but at California Adventure THE RIDE is the Racers so I guess they figure that was the one we'd want to return to.

We got stopped near the top of the first hill on Everest. The side rail went up next to the stairs. The "music"in the tunnel was deafening. And, the the walk down was terrifying. Still ride it though. We love it.

Same one, twice now.

Didn't get removed but ToT broke down when we were in the hallway section a little after they open the door and just before the drop. They had to turn on the lights and told us we would have to do the drop since it was the only way to get off. It actually was pretty cool, there were probably only 8 people in the car, we sat there for about 15 min. then did the drop. They told us we could get right back on if we wanted, strangely only DS and myself decided to do it, they walked us right down to the loading doors and back on we went. Best ride ever.

We had the exact same thing happen right next to the giant eyeball. Everyone except my mom rode again and they walked us right to the loading area and we all went in the next elevator.
