Happy Potter early entry with Virgin

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me about the early entry with Virgin into Happy Potter World??

Do you have to go to any welcome meetings, etc.

Thanks

We did this in November 2010 and we didn't go to a welcome meeting
We booked our park tickets through the Virgin Concierge team and we explained that we didn't want/need to attend a welcome meeting so they simply put our invites for early entry in with the rest of our bits and pieces to pick up at the airport upon arrival

You had to use the invites within two days of your arrival

When you arrive at the entrance to IOA you will see a Virgin Holidays podium set up and you simply hand your invite to the Virgin Rep who is manning the stand

You'll join a group of other VH customers and IOA staff walk you through to WWOHP

Breakfast is served in the Three Broomsticks (mainly cold cereal/pastries etc)

Shortly after this the attractions open but it's great to check out the general area/take photos whilst it's empty

If you want to see the show in the wand shop do that first, just line up outside as soon as poss and you should hopefully get into the first show of the day - it only lasts around 5 mins but the lines get crazy later in the day

You can then head straight to Forbidden Journey and ride that without much of a wait :)

Hope this helps

This pretty much covers it all. We did this in October and it was well worth getting up early for.

The only thing we found different to Linda67 is that we arranged to do the early entry a week after we arrived. We went to a welcome meeting and the lovely rep sorted it all out for us

Very good advice here. Just wanted to add that we were first in line for Ollivander's, (it was only when we started the queue that others began to queue also - well if anyone loves queueing, it is us Brits ;)). First in line, then Ollivander chose my young step-sister as we were basically at the front of the queue. Not guaranteeing anything as it is random, but it is possible to be 'chosen' if you are first in line ;)

Also we found the breakfast to be extremely disappointing and badly organised; however the benefits of being in the park even before on-site guests was well worth it! have a great trip.
