We’ve never stayed aft but this is midship-ish so we’ll see. Prefer higher and more forward but maybe we will be very pleasantly surprised and find a new favorite location!

We kinda were hoping for a navigator's veranda with the cool instruments - wanted to see what that was like! Instead, we ended up in the middle of the ship on the highest deck available to our category, a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, so we definitely got an upgrade.

We are 13 days out and found out earlier today.

I read somewhere else on disboards.com that Tuesday seems to be a common day to be notified, so you might have to wait another week. You have to keep stalking the app and it just magically shows up.

Although it was technically an upgrade, we really didn’t want to be on the 2nd deck and some room reviews said this room was noisy. After seeing the room number in the app, we decided to upgrade to a veranda room on deck 7 (extra $650)

We are FWD cruisers as well and got 6620 in November on the Fantasy. We weren’t used to the longer walk to the room. It seemed slightly shorter from aft to the room than mid. We avoided aft elevators when cabanas was open unless going there. We still prefer forward for the adult only areas (we don’t have kids) but not sure how we will go back to a regular room size from the family one

Is it GTY with restrictions (discounted fare)? If so that is pretty common and I have gotten my room between 17-9 days prior to sailing. I know a member of our FB Group on our April sailing didn't get theirs until the day before our Feb 2024 sailing.
