I would like to eat at City Walk after our day at IOA.

I'm not interested in gourmet food (not the way I cook!) just a great experience the 3 teens will remember. So atmosphere is the most important thing.

I asked this question on UK DIS but didn't really get a response,so I'm relying on you experts;)

Also can any kind of reservation be made in advance by off-site guests?

Thanks..............Karen:wave:

We ate at Margaritaville and it was fun, very Florida like (at least to us Northerners). Had good hamburgers, not fancy but we had fun. No reservations that I am awre of, they give you a pager though and you can wander around. When we were there, there was some different entertainment going on to watch as we waited. This was 2 years ago so I dont know if its changed.

My guess is that young teens will get a kick out of Nascar Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe, and NBA City, depending on their interests. At Margaritaville, the biggest attraction for young teens will be the volcano that erupts periodically and spews out margarita mix into a huge blender on the bar.

I dont even remeber seeing that. we were sitting upstairs. I just thought the music was fun and the Florida atmoshere. My kids arrent particularly into NASCAR or NBA and we have a Hard Rock Cafe close enough to here to go to so that wasnt a thrill. Just my opinion - I dont think we saw that volcano. In general, we thought City Walk food was awful.

My DD, 8, loves margarittaville, we even saw the volcano erupt this year....we went in during the afternoon, most of the park rides had been shut down due to rain & lightening, we headed to Pat O'Briens next, then off to Motown, where she cut her own CD. She sang along to a Brittny Spears song (what else), It was the same company that runs the "make your own video" at Pleasure Island. I wish they had the video making equipment at Citywalk, too.

We ate at the bar at the HR Cafe one night, that was lots of fun...

We hit Kareoke Night at Motown one night too. That was fun to watch, we are not brave enough to sing in public, the people that did sing were great...

I would say NBA city... we loved it (although we aren't teens), but we did see a lot of teenagers when we walked in there...

Thanks for taking the time to answer.....I'm still not sure though........

We ate at Margaritaville last Sept and really
had a nice time. 2 adults and 2 children age
6 The food was good and priced pretty reasonably.
The kids meal of spaghetti and meatballs was
too much for 1 child to eat. There was a live
band and a hoola-hoop contest that the kids
really had fun doing. Our adult meals were also
good, even better than I expected. The best
thing that happened to us was when an employee
gave me a coupon for 10% off our bill. She just
came over to our table and gave it to me. Wow,
it was such a nice surprise. This made our visit
here so memorable. Will be there in 10 days, and
can't wait.:smooth:

My teens love the Hard Rock. Be warned they play the music very loud.

My kids 19 and 22 love margaritaville and latin quarter. If you are going for really good food and entertainment..go to latin quarter, if you are going for nachos, beer, burgers (not real good burgers), but fun atmosphere..go to margaritaville.

The Hard Rock Cafe!!! We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, so had priority seating at all the restaurants at Universal & IOA. We thought the Hard Rock was the "funnest" place to eat. Every night we were there, they'd play YMCA & all the staff would jump on the bar doing the actions encouraging everyone to join in and the whole restaurant would erupt into Y M C A singing along in one big party!! They do a really good Meatloaf, a fab "Pig" sandwich and the salads are enoooormous and delicious!
