Friend cancelled my FP for Frozen. Suggestions?

I am traveling to WDW from Oct. 2nd-7th. We are staying onsite and I was lucky enough to snag a FP for Frozen for my family on Oct. 4th. (DH and 4 year old son.) Anyways, I realized that a friend of mine was going to Disney at the same time so we decided to link up our MDE accounts. I became "friends" with her, her DH and 2 children. I didn't accept the request to have her "friend" my DH and son.

Instead of just creating FP reservations for her family she choose to alter mine by adding herself to my existing plans. Well, this morning I realized that she tried to add her family to our Frozen fast pass (which I already told her that she wouldn't be able to do) and when she couldn't get it she cancelled my fast pass. My son and DH still have theirs because she didn't have access to their accounts. I am ASSUMING this was a mistake but when I questioned her on it she totally lied and said she could still see my fast pass on her MDE account. She even provided me her account name and password which I could check. Of course, not believing her I did log on and check her account and I did not have a fast pass. She then said something to the effect "Well that is weird because I just saw it a few minutes ago."
Anyways, debating/discussing her lie isn't my main problem now.

I contacted Guest Services first thing this morning and tearfully explained what happened. The cast member listened to me and after about 5 minutes on hold told me that she was going to end the call and that I would get an email with a resolution and that she "hoped it would work out for me". After about 2 hours I called back again because I hadn't heard anything. The second cast member was a lot more sympathetic but told me that my concern had been forwarded to another department and I should hear back by tomorrow. Of course, I just heard back and the general gist of the message was "too bad, there aren't any FP available".

I probably already know the answer to this question but I'll ask it anyways. Is there anything that I can do?

This is the 2nd or 3rd post I have read about a similar situation to "linking" with friends and a problem with cancellation. :eek:Call me "protective or paranoid" but this is the reason why we don't link our MDE with anyonel, gives access to everything . We work very hard in getting the ADR'S 6 months in advance and getting the FP 60 days out. I would be very upset if someone I was linked to somehow cancelled something. Hope that somehow it works out for you:goodvibes, understandable that it is very frustrating and upsetting.

keep checking. All the time. Since you only need 1, you may have better luck finding one random one. Especially as the trip gets closer, as people tend to tweak things last minute. Look for times that would overlap your DHs and sons too - doesn't need to be the exact time, just in the same 1 hour window. Good luck!

I wish I had known that this was a possibility. I am the "gate keeper" for all of the MDE accounts for my family. They really don't even try to figure it out as I do all of the work for all of the adults and my son. I really thought that she could just *see* our plans.

Lesson learned. The hard way.

You can delete her from your friends list now and she won't have access to your MDE.

Just send her screenshots of your plans.

I HOPE that it works out::yes::;ENJOY your vaca!:goodvibes

and you're still friends with her?!? (kidding) Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Anyway I hope it works out for you in the end and you get a FP+. Keep checking as there are last minute changes that free them up. Don't give up.

I hope you get s FP for it since it is just you you do have a better chance to get just one I got a FP for it about 10 days before my trip in july when it was first opened so there is still hope for you keep checking I canceled my FP for it the day before since I decided to stay at MK instead so there is hope.

I was at Epcot on Saturdy and the ride broke 5 times in one day. We waited for 90 minutes until we got on the boat. As soon as we got in the boat...the ride went down. The lesson learned was not to go to Epcot with complete anticipation of riding frozen at this time. Disney is having so many issues with this ride - just be great full if you are able to experience it. I would not worry if you did not get a fast pass - with all the issues there is no guarantee you will be able to ride it.

I know.... We were there in June when it first opened and the ride broke down just as our fast pass window opened up. We waited in EPCOT for 4 hours for it to reopen. Once it reopened we got back in the fast pass line and waited at least 20 minutes to get on. When we finally got on the ride we made it to the first scene when the ride broke down again and we were escorted off of the ride. We were given fast passes to return that were good for the next 10 days but we were leaving Disney and never got to use them. We passed our fast passes off to another family and we have been looking forward to riding it ever since.

I don't know if this experience will help or not but I will share it. Two trips ago me and two of my children had FP+ for ToT. My DH and another child DID NOT because that child was scared. However, once we got to the park, my DD decided she was brave enough to ride it, but the stand-by line was 75 minutes.
I very nicely approached the cast member at the FP line and explained that my DD was feeling brave but we didn't have passes for her or my DH. He was SO kind and said just for 5 of us to go on through and he radioed up to the second cast member to let them know.

If you can't snag a FP for yourself, I would consider approaching the Cast Member and see if they will just let you on with your family.

Thanks for sharing this! I think I will try it.

That totally stinks! I would be totally bummed out, but I have heard of this type of thing happening as well. When my MIL decided she wanted to come on the trip with us next year I told her I would link out accounts together but she is basically not to do anything with the account unless I am present, lol...she won't even make a payment on the account unless I help her out. I've told her the horror stories of people's plans being canceled and she doesn't want to alter all my hard work and plans so now she won't even go near her account unless I'm there with her, lol. Anyways I hope everything works out for you in the end! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

We were there all last week and on Epcot day, we walked straight to frozen and stood in line. 30 minutes tops. Probably more like 20. We rode the ride (Loved it!) and then walked back to Test track and Soaring. I was expecting humongous lines but even late in the day we walked past and it was 30 minutes.
