French roll with real butter, not that fake stuff so prevalent at Disney now.

We always have enjoyed lunch at Chefs and were a bit dismayed to hear that they added this character to the restaurant. It is so not needed and there are way too many character meals now. However, this is very tasteful and subtle and the waiter is quite funny. It is not intrusive and you do not have a bunch of bratty kids running around the table. Good job Disney!

Soupe a l'oignon gratinee - the classic onion soup topped with Gruyère cheese $5.95

Spice Crusted Mahi - topped with citrus-apple slaw on a Kaiser roll

Hot Open-faced Roast Beef Sandwich - roast beef on toasted French bread with rosemary wine sauce and roasted wedge potatoes topped with cheesy breadcrumbs. This sounded way better than it tasted. Gross!

Roasted Curry Vegetable Bulgur Salad - zucchini, squash, eggplant, vine-ripe tomatoes, onions, dried cherries and Romaine hearts in a yogurt-pesto dressing

Black Forest Cupcake. Another thing that looked better than it tasted. The frosting was disgusting.

Caesar Salad with Oak-fired Chicken $8.49

Grilled Vegetable Cuban Sandwich $7.59 Very good!

Backside of Grilled Vegetable Cuban Sandwich $7.59 and a rice krispy treat that did not seem to have any marshmallow in it whatsoever. Ick!

Tomato and mozzarella salad.

Strawberry shortcake and key lime "pie". Even though they call this key lime pie, it's more like a lime jello mousse thing. It was gross. The strawberry shortcake was only slightly better. I'm not sure why people rave about these desserts when World Showcase has lots of way better sweets.

Cantina de San Angel

Plato Combinacion - chicken taco, beef burrito and a quesadilla served with black refried beans and Mexican salsa $9.25 This did not come with black beans. It used to, but not anymore.

This is what they call a quesadilla. It was not good and had hardly any cheese in it. Cheese is key in a quesadilla, which has two main ingredients- a tortilla and some cheese.

Tasteless cheeseburger (according to DD) and chili-cheese sauce fries. Cheese sauce on fries?

Roaring Fork- we ate here various times on the last 4 days of our trip.


Ham and Tillamook Cheddar - with vegetable pasta salad$8.89 and chocolate bundt cake.

Grilled Vegetable Sandwich - with vegetable pasta salad$8.89 plus chili and a brownie.

Tuna Salad Sandwich - with vegetable pasta salad $9.09

Free cookie we got since no kids showed up to the cookie decorating activity. With cookies like these, I can see why nobody showed up. It was gross, especially the frosting. What is it with Disneyworld frosting?

Make your own yogurt parfait with granola and fresh berries, cinnamon raisin bagel.

Adult breakfast platter- eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and a dry biscuit. Really good except for the biscuit. Also an okay cherry danish.

Cheeseburger, chocolate chip cookie and pepperoni flatbread. Saratoga Springs does not need to worry about Roaring Forks cutting into their flatbread business. The SSR flatbreads are way, way better and are always fresh and hot to order. This one was clearly made ahead of time and had a burnt cheese flavor to it, as in smoke.

Chefs special- pasta with meat marinara. Now how can you have a meat marinara, when marinara by definition is meatless? Whatever. This was okay, but suffered also from a burnt cheese smoke smell. Roaring Forks needs to clean their oven. I did not like how it was premade. It seemed like a frozen dinner.

Crispy Chicken - crispy white meat tenders with Ranch dressing or Tangy BBQ sauce, served with herb-seasoned fries $10.95 plus a side of mac and cheese.

Baked Four Cheese Macaroni - mozzarella, fontina, cheddar and Gorgonzola cheeses with fresh artisan elbow macaroni, baked until bubbly and golden brown Served with petite organic mixed baby greens $10.95
