'Fess up... who has NEVER...

The only thing I've reported is when it was true spam - I've never "tattled" on any true Disboards posters.

Most spam/porn/phishing threads must have been deleted before I ever saw them.

The only thing I recall is a series of posts in “Martian language” full of indecipherable symbols or nonsense.

They are fishing for information. Many of the questions they ask are ones that people use to set their passwords so if you give out enough information, they can plug it into major websites to see if they can gain access to your accounts.

Where did you grow up
What school did you go to
How far away are you now from where you grew up
What’s the name of the hospital you were born at

All seemingly innocent questions, but when it’s all added up, you’ve given them so, so much.

I used to warn people all. the. time. in those threads but eventually gave up because it made absolutely no difference.
{{sigh}} Spinnerette is now over on the sub-forum posting the same kind of questions, except adding the word "Controversial" to the thread title. :sad2: Count on the first page there being filled up pretty soon with inane garbage.

ETA: Ooops - I didn't notice he's been there all along. A quick scan of the pages shows a number of threads he's started.

So glad that poster is on my (very short) ignore list.

I know. I can't believe "it" got up to that forum.

He's on my short Ignore list already. Makes the page so much better to read without seeing all of his searching questions.

I don't have anyone on ignore. I have reported a couple spammers, aside from that I think I've only reported one post that was pretty egregious. I don't remember what it was exactly, but it was deleted real quick.

As with others, I have only reported obvious spam posts. Otherwise, I let it be and don't block.

There was a guy I blocked many years ago because he just wanted to bicker with everyone. Eventually he got booted, I think.

Nope, neither one. I have no reason to block anyone, if I read a post and don't like it, I just scroll through and don't read any more by that person. I have no reason to report anything either, I don't get a lot of spam on my feed.

I've used "report" a couple of times, if it was clearly spam or against the rules (egregiously). Never blocked anyone.

Blocked...not 100% sure but I may have blocked a gal who used to post all these personal dramas and didn't write well. Always knew who it was when I saw that type of thread pop up. Made looking at the community boards a little less eye rolling.

I have used report a few times a long time ago.

Is there a way to see who we've blocked? Edit to say, figured it out and I have nobody on ignore. So I never did ignore that gal or she is off the boards. Havent seen her post in a long time. She had some Disney type name, I think.
