What is the best plan to be able to watch both? Or what locations are the best to see these shows?

Right now the schedule that is on disneyland's website has times for these events at; Fantasmic at 9pm and 1030pm and then the fireworks at 930pm.

Right now are plan is to watch the fireworks at 930pm and then fantasmic at 1030pm.

But location tips would help out greatly here. Thanks.

Hi,

We've just returned from Disneyland and managed to see both Fantasmic and the Fireworks on two occasions.

On both occasions we watched the 9pm Fantasmic showing from the roped off area in front of New Orleans Square. On our first time, we then remained in the area and had a good view of the fireworks from the side of the castle. Our second occasion saw us moving to Main Street which has the road section roped off for viewing. Try and stand to the center or right as you face the castle as the fireworks appear slightly to the left of the castle. On this second occasion, we also managed to get across to DCA to use a World of Color Fastpass for the blue section for the 10:15pm show.

If you do the Fantasmic Dessert seating, you can have a good seat for both. It's usually very hard to move from Fantasmic to Main Street right after Fantasmic ends. Better to sit and let the crowds die down.

Have to admit that is what we thought, but the crowd marshalling was very good and we managed to get to main street with 5 minutes to spare before the fireworks started.

That said, the temperatures were quite cool we were led to believe for early August, so this may have caused some people to leave early and not wait for the fireworks.

If you want good spots for both, I suggest watching the fireworks in the Hub first and then making your way through the Frontierland entrance over to NOS for the second Fantasmic. You could do the dessert seating, but it is very overpriced, and really doesn't save much time (there is often a line starting for seating assignments by 6:30, and they do not begin assigining seats until 8pm).
