EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

DH and I will be in Orlando using up some Marriott vacation points and going to universal studios when I noticed wine and food festival would be starting the last weekend in Sept so.....scored an atrium club level room for a couple of nights sept 25-27. Loved our stay there during PHM 2013 so looking forward to another stay. I did stay at Grand Floridian club level last year and do have to say I thought their food offerings were slightly better than contemporary.

Those pictures made me hungry also, although I generally just have oatmeal and coffee. I never get excited about oatmeal at home, but I am already salivating in anticipation for the oatmeal on our 4/30-5/9 AKL/BC CL split. Maybe oatmeal just tastes better before rope drop. West Coaster here, so don't usually try oatmeal at 4AM.

Three quick questions:

1. Online check-in or contact IPO for room preference? No one has contacted us yet and we leave in less than a week. We have 3 adults and 2 kids so I shouldn't have to request a daybed room, correct? My only request would be a full balcony if possible. So nothing really specific.

2. When we are there, MK opens up at 8am daily and 7am for EMH. :faint: Will the lounge open earlier to accommodate the earlier park times?

3. For the 7am EMH it is our first full day (and first at parks) so we are going for it and then taking a huge mid day break for pool/naps. I was thinking of asking a CM for a cab to come at 6:15am. One, because I feel like getting a bus that early is hit or miss and two, my kids love the monorail and I realized we probably won't be using it the whole time. Realistic or not worth it?

Congrats on the extra nights for F&W. We've never stayed at the CR, but have stayed GF CL and I found the food offerings to be great as well.

1. If it were me, I'd contact IPO for any requests. Since you haven't been contacted by them, you can send them an email with your information and any requests you have. As far as a daybed, I would mention that as a request since not all rooms at the BC come with one (you don't mention your resort, but I saw your signature says next stay at BC CL). Parties of 5 are given preference for those rooms, but it is not guaranteed you will get one. With that said, if you don't get a daybed, they will provide a roll away.

2. The lounge does not open earlier to accommodate EMH.

3. I'm not sure what time transportation starts running for EMH, but that would be our choice for getting to the park.

Suzanne74...Is that something new having MK open at 8 AM for regular park opening?

I think it is during high peak times. They just changed it a few weeks ago for our entire week next week and I am really annoyed because I had an 8:10 CP reservation to get in the park early and now it is after park opening - so we dropped it. Someone mentioned on another thread this will happen over the summer as well. AK opens at 8am two times too but we aren't going there this time. Epcot and DHS are both still 9am.

So you prefer the MK bus or a cab? Sorry I was a little confused by your response - sorry :o

My concern is even if they run that early that they will go to every resort around the Epcot area before going to the parks and it is hard to estimate the time.

Sorry for the confusion...lol. Yes, we would take the bus instead of a cab. With that said though, I do understand your concern about the transportation. I think it's hit or miss with the buses in the Epcot area as some people experience them only going to BC/YC with no sharing, while others experience sharing among all 5 resorts. If you are worried about several stops prior to getting to the park, taking a cab would probably be the best choice as it would probably get you to your destination quicker, even if there were no other stops with the bus.

We're at the Poly CL from 07/26 thru 08/01/2015 - you can add us to the list on the first page :yay:

If anyone has been there recently, or is going in the next few weeks, I'd love to see some pictures of the lounge view. I did stop by the resort in late February and was pretty disappointed with the view from the beach (bungalows block a good bit of the lagoon and castle view). I'm wondering how it looks from the 2nd floor....

Thanks!!

I think that's a great idea. Have a great trip!

I will report back about the 7AM EMH. Hoping the crowds are low to start (the pre show is at 6:50am ) but the plan is to get a lot done, have 3 FP for later morning, get a 4th FP for the evening before we leave and head back to the resort from 1-6pm for pool and naps. Fingers crossed it works.

I posted Poly lounge photos a few pages back, but they are from our January stay. We didn't feel like the bungalows interfered with the castle view and didn't mind seeing them on the lagoon. They are off to the side when looking out the lounge windows, and I actually think it looks more festive.

Got this email today, still debating what I think about it.....

Hello Erika,

Congratulations! You've completed your Disney Resort hotel online check-in service.

And now, for the first time, you may be able to skip the front desk when you arrive.

Since your all-in-one MagicBand has been shipped to your home and is also your Disney Resort room key, you may head straight to your room or even the Parks (if you linked Theme Park admission to yourMagicBands). It's a quick and easy way to start the magic the moment you arrive!

Just ensure you've completed your online check-in with:
• Your estimated Resort arrival and departure times
• A credit card you want to use for incidentals and other charges
• Your mobile phone number and/or email address
By providing a phone number or email address we can text or email you on the day of your arrival with your room number. Our Bell Services team will be ready to assist you with your luggage upon arrival.
We'll contact you when your room is ready and you can go directly to your room. If your room is not ready when you arrive, simply enjoy the Parks or the Resort and we will let you know as soon as your room is available.

I just updated the guest list, we are finally starting to get some overlaps! :D If anyone manages to find time to meet-up please let us know! And take a pic!!!! :thumbsup2

What??? You are staying in Royal Palm Club, right? Umm... We stay there multiple times per year and we are always greeted by someone and escorted to our room. There must be some mistake. We have never had to go to the front desk. BTW, if you don't know Abdul who works in RPC, get to know him! He is awesome!
