Excursions while at Aulani

We will be at Aulani for 13 nights, plus 1 night in Waikiki(first night in Oahu). I am trying to get a good mix of resort days, planned activities and free days to explore the island.

I would appreciate any feedback on these two activities.

Dolphin Encounter/snorkel adventure
Shark Cage Dive -North Shore

Wife and I did the shark encounter 2 years ago and had a blast. You don't spend a lot of time in the cage, though. We're planning a trip back to Hi next year and will do it again!
