Dolphin Discovery Footwear

We are doing the Dolphin Swim & Manatee Encounter in Cozumel. I cannot figure out what footwear to plan for. I am not sure if we should wear flip flops, water shoes, or tennis shoes. Any help would be appreciated!! Thank you!

They did not let us enter the water with any footwear at all. We were wearing water shoes and they made us take them off as “not being safe for the dolphins” For walking around, the park is HUGE, so what ever you would normally wear to a beach that also has sidewalks.

We had the same experience as the previous poster. They had lockers that we put our beach bags in while we were in the water with the dolphins. I can't remember if it cost extra for a locker or not, if it did cost more I think it was just a few dollars. It's been several yrs since we did it. It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed the other things that are there after our dolphin swim.
