Does the express monorail route stop in the contemporary?

Does the express monorail stop in the contemporary to board people or do you have to hop the resort loop and ride around the lake to get to the magic kingdom. I'm trying to convince the wife and daughter just to walk but they insist on riding the monorail to the MK.

Thanks,

Charlie

Only the resort monorail stops at the Contemporary and the other MK resort hotels served by the monorail.

The express monorail stops only at the MK and the TTC

Nope - fast from TTC to MK and back again - that's why it's called the express.

From CR - TTC - Poly - MK

Only a 10 min walk to MK from CR

As a compromise, you can take the resort monorail to the TTC and transfer to the express. If there's not a line, it *may* be a little faster than doing the resort loop.

Beware though, when we were at WDW in December, the Express loop was not running at all until mid morning.

Even the offsite folks from the TTC were directed to the resort monorail most of the morning until crowds built enough to open both of them.

This was a pain for us because we would go to MK for early entry, then over to Epcot and on the resort monorail you have to go down the ramp around the corner and back up again.

The express monorail has a straight cut through to the Epcot Monorail.

Express monorail - TTC-> MK->TTC (counter clockwise trip)

Resort monorail - TTC->Poly->GF->MK->CR->TTC (clockwise motion)
