while in the magic kingdom this past july i saw peter pan and wendy with a group of maybe 10-15 chidlren. they were acting out parts of the story in that area behind the christmas shop in liberty square. they were in a roped-off area so it was exclusive to the group. i videotaped the brief 4mins i saw and at the end peter and wendy asked the children what ride they would like to go on and they all went over to peter pan's flight and rode the ride with the characters. does anyone know what this experience is and how i can have one?

Hi,

It sound like the Family Magic Tour. It starts at Town Hall and a tour guide escorts the group - I think about 20 people - on a scavanger hunt thru parts of the MK - Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Liberty Square - to search for Capt. Hook's hook. At the end, the area meets in a secluded spot and meets Peter Pan for photos, etc...then he takes the group on a ride. We did this in October and we all loved it.

I booked the trip a few months in advance .... I forget which dept. handles it but you could just call the main number.

Just want to chime in with a comment that Peter Pan is not the only character to be featured in this tour. I can' t for the life of me remember exactly which other characters are featured. For some reason I'm thinking it may be a search for the Mad Hatter's Hat, but that may not be right. Someone will know...

Anyway, I saw wdarling's screen name and thought I'd mention this in case you would specifically be looking for Peter Pan to make an appearance. I don't think they will even be able to guarantee the character when you make the reservation.

wdarling, are you SURE you want to experience this? ;)

My grand daughter and I participated in it in April of last year.....it was quite fun but as you noticed they were having people act things out. Publicly. In front of lots and lots of people!!! LOL

They also had us crawl across a stage while a show was going on, over in the area near Space Mountain. Being as old as I am (a whole 48 or something like that) I scooted more than crawled, but all eyes were definitely NOT on the show but on the goofballs crawling along the floor!

We had a ball!! I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I was able to book just a few days prior but I think I'd rather make arrangements earlier than that next time.

Have fun!

We did the family Magic Tour last year and we had a Blast. It was me, DH, DD (18) and DS (4). We are going back next year and my DD already said how she wants to do it again. You have to be willing to do anything because they make you hop, skip, run, jump and much more around the park. My DS loved to go on the ride with Peter Pan and Wendy. (we were lucky enough to get them) It changes all the time it is whoever is available. But defiantly worth it. Michelle

We did this when my DS was 4 and now 4 years later, he still talks about it being one of his bes Disney experiences.
