DME tags vs. ticket to get on the bus

Hypothetically....DME and capacity question here;

My family of five (including infant) can use DME for our January 2011 BWV 2 BR trip. If we invite friends who number five, how will DME work for them? Does each individual need a "ticket" to board the bus, and if so, would that violate the room capacity, and if so further, would DVC and DME cross reference bookings and realize there were 9 folks plus one infant in a 2 BR? Is that a violation with only one guest under age 3?

Huh?

Only Guests named on the reservation may make Magical Express reservations.
Only Guests with Magical Express reservations may board the Magical Express bus and be transported to Walt Disney World at no additional cost.
Not transportation-related, but TEN people including one infant under age three WILL NOT fit in your two-bedroom villa. You won't be able to add the family to your reservation or accommodate them in your villa, and you won't be able to book them on DME.

Not sure on the room capacity question.

However, anyone who rides DME needs to be listed on a room reservation and have a voucher for the DME transportation. No unregistered guests will be allowed on the DME bus.

So, if your guests want to ride DME they will need to be on your reservation or a reservation of their own. It will be pretty easy to answer the capacity question if you just try to add all of them to your reservation. If you are allowed to do so, then you are not exceeding capacity and your guests can ride DME. If you are not allowed to do so you are exceeding capacity and any unregistered guests will not be allowed to use DME.

There's no need for Disney to take the extra step of cross-indexing DME reserations with room reservations after the fact, because getting a DME reservation is contingent upon already having a room reservation.

Each and every person must be listed on a resort reservation to get a ticket to ride the Magical Express. Even the baby. If you are all planning on sleeping in one villa, you will not be able to list everyone, as you will be over the offical room capacity.

So not only will someone not be able to use ME, someone will also not be able to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours in the parks, as you have to have a resort ID to do so. Not on the reservation, no resort ID.

Not to mention if you are caught violating the room occupency level you will either be asked to get another room at rack rate, or made to leave the resort.

I know you didn't ask about all of that, but it all goes hand in hand with having too many people to use Magical Express. Which you do have, unfortunately.
