Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

There is a $35 per adult per day fee in a deluxe resort, and it adds up fast!

We have had five in our YC room back when the kids were teenagers and it worked out fine. There was a bit of juggling for the bathroom, though. But we made it work. :)
That should be saved for the Boardwalk! Sorry...... I know where the exit is.....:duck:

FYI, finally… YC/BC Club Level reopening dates….

Just upgraded to a garden level club level room, and am pumped! We had a water view room, but after reading how varying the water views can be, I’m not upset at all about “going down” to a garden view, particularly since club level is a pretty penny more to begin with. We have never stayed in a club level room previously, and I believe we’ll enjoy the convenience.

On another note, being the space-brain that I can be at times, I completely forgot to request a balcony when the CM asked, “Is there anything else I can help you with today?” Is there a way to request this now without having to call again? I was on hold an hour and a half, and would love to avoid that again if possible.

Think you may be able to request full balcony if you do online check-in.

Thank you for your response, and I believe you are correct. It’s been a minute since I last stayed at a DW resort, but I do seem to recall seeing balcony requests during the online check-in process.

In a review or two that I read about club level rooms at BC though, there was mention of it possibly being a good idea to forgo online check-in. The thinking seemed to be that you most likely wouldn’t wait long in the lobby check-in line (something about them getting to you quicker if you’re staying club level, maybe?), and that this rewarded you with a tour of what the level had to offer. Has anyone done this, and if so, is it actually something that feels valuable, or should I not worry about missing out on it and go into online check-in?

I’d contact signature services since you are staying club level and ask them to add full balcony to your room requests. I believe you’ll find their email in the information posts at the start of this thread. When you arrive at the resort you will be taken to the 5th for (club level) and checked in from there so I’d youve any questions you’ll have an opportunity to ask them😊

Rooms are assigned a few days ahead of time, so I don't think there is any reason not to do online check in. There are CMs with iPads in the lobby, waiting to check guests in. They will escort you to the club level floor and show you around up there. :)

The majority of the rooms on the 5th floor have full balconies, but not all of them. :)

That's what I was thinking, most of the rooms having balconies. It's been a long time since I've stayed on a club level floor. At some point, don't you receive a call from the concierge regarding any trip planning requests that you may have? I'm guessing that will not happen until after the club level floor opens a the BC in January.

I have a question about availability… I was looking for March but see no available at all for BC or YCmy dates… is that normal or does that just mean it’s gonna be super busy at that time. The prices for other deluxe resorts are really pricey too around 700-800 a night. I didn’t think prices were usually this high. Is this because of the 50th?

:welcome: to posting (or reposting) on this thread!

Let us know if you are able to work out a trip here.

:thumbsup2

Arriving at BCV in a few weeks using a grocery delivery. Can someone confirm there is a regular drip coffeemaker in a studio before I order coffee? I seem to remember a pod style but I may be confusing that with a resort room.
TIA

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

early November?

As others have indicated, the pod machines are in some of the Beach Club rooms- they are transitioning to Keurig like they have at the Yacht Club. The villas have Mr. Coffee-type drip machines.

So a class I was to attend in December was just canceled and, we took the refund and upgraded from Port Orleans Riverside to Beach Club for my daughter's mom & me trip towards the end of this week. Can't wait!

Sorry I didn't have a chance to wish you a wonderful trip. Hope it was magical!

::yes::

Well, here I am!

This old Rabbit is going to *finally* be able to cross BC off her Disney Bucket List for the end of November/early December! Our (adult) daughter and I are doing another of our famous "girls only" trips, and she was able to grab a roll-in shower room at Beach. I can't believe it; we have been trying for (no exaggeration) years to land a roll-in shower room with 2 queen beds at either Beach or Yacht, so it's thrilling to say the least; allegedly we will have a water view as well (which is just icing on the cake for me!)

I'm so happy to see such a great community here surrounding this Resort; based on what I read so far (I've gone back and read every post for the last 6 months) we will have a great time, and a new WDW "Home".

Right now, I have just one question - when they are "sharing" do the MK and AK buses "start" at YC and then pick up at BC? I saw @VAtink reply in this post that in the morning, YC and BC each get their own MK bus, and then they share later in the day (good info to have, thanks VATink!) but is YC considered "stop #1" and BC "stop #2" ? And do the Disney Springs buses share as well? Weird questions, I suppose, but I must use a wheelchair, and so transportation information is always important to me. Typically, when we have visited YC/BC we have arrived on the boats, so I have no frame of reference for buses at this Resort at all!

Thank you in advance for the greetings, and the friendship! I'm very excited to finally have a reason to visit this corner of the DIS! 🙂

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

I'm glad you were able to find a reservation here and that you are enjoying our friendly, helpful thread.

:cool1:

I've never seen this on this thread before. I've been to Disney at least 30 times and this is this first time I've seen this.

I have a reservation booked for YC for Dec 2-15, 2022. Today I received an email with my "cart ID #". I plugged in the number where I was supposed to and the message said that the ID # was already being used.

I tried calling Disney but the wait time is over an hour!

Does anyone know what this "cart ID #" is? A discount of some sort like the old "pins" that we used to get?

thanks for the help

:rainbow::rainbow::rainbow::rainbow:

I don't know what a Cart ID is, but others have suggested an explanation.

I have edited your dates on the Be Our Guest list as a I had an end date of Dec 10.

8-)

Yes, it is possible. I just did it today on our arrival. I did not talk to local housekeeping, but called. The agent said it wasn’t on the BCV list but that he would request It from the resort side. It was delivered in the yellow laundry bag. I think it’s important here to note that the agent I talked to went off script and out of his way to make it happen. Not trying to be critical here but I think results may vary based on the person you deal with.

Thank you for posting about this!

:coffee:

So excited to arrive (again) on Saturday! My partner and I are celebrating our 4-year anniversary and he has never stayed at Yacht -- we're doing the works: Yachstman Steakhouse, Ale & Compass breakfast, Jellyrolls, Stormalong Bay, and possibly some B&C ice cream! I'm so excited to finally show him my home away from home, and fingers crossed I get a decent room.

Hope you had a great trip and that the resort won your partner over!

Dee - although I don't know you, I hope you are continuing to grow stronger, and heal. I can only extend my most sincere condolences, and my best wishes for strength, and ultimately, joy for both you and your boys.

I'm not posting exact dates of our visit because we are not "visiting" on this trip with other DIS friends. Our daughter has suffered a personal loss as well, and so we are "running away to Disney" for a couple of weeks to eat, drink, ride, play, (hopefully) laugh and generally act our shoe size, and not our ages! After about a week at BC we will move over to POFQ (a long time favorite of our family) for the last half of our trip. If nothing else, I have *boats* at both of my Resorts on this trip, which is so awesome! I loves me a Disney boat ride, and we are no strangers to the waterway between HS and Epcot.

Thank you so much for your kind words and concern. My family continues to deal with and heal from our tragic loss. We are strong and we will be ok, but every day is difficult. My oldest son returned home from his assignment with the Fish and Game in Idaho on Friday. He will be here for several months and it is so great to have him around. I have been cooking up a storm since he arrived. I am also working two part-time jobs, not for financial reasons but to keep me busy and distracted and connected with others.

I send my thoughts and condolences to your daughter. As you probably saw, my best friend, who also lost her husband unexpectedly two weeks before I did, and I escaped to Disney in August. I hope the trip is a fun, healing trip for your daughter and you as it was for us.

We will be back for another fun, fall, F&W trip--September 29, 2022 - October 7, 2022 -- BCV! Please add us.

We are wait listed for May, but really doubt that will come through. If not, no biggie--we will be right across the lake at DH's favorite BWV.
