Sorry I haven't logged in since the trip or I would have answered sooner. We hit the ground running back at home.So you ate it at the new temporary station?
1week and we will be there. Can’t wait for our first stay here.
I would not expect to make that ADR if you are relying on Disney transportation! I’d plan to grab an Uber/Lyft for sure. Have fun and congratulations!Hello Everyone!! We'll be checking into the Poly in 48 days for our Disneymoon! I CANNOT wait! Quick question for those experts: Our flight will be arriving at 6:30 P.M. (we're leaving the day after the wedding which ends at 2 am so we didn't want to make the flight too early ) I Love the video on DME but I'm wondering if it would just be quicker to grab an Uber or Lyft to get to the Poly. We have reservations at Raglan Rd at 8:30- it's become a first night tradition for us. I'm thinking this might be the fastest option. Can I hear your thoughts?? Thanks!!!
Just to expand on the previous answer to your questions. The last remodel of the feature pool removed the Cabanas at the Poly, only the GF and Contemporary currently have full service Cabanas.Hello Poly fans!
Can someone describe the difference between a cabana and a patio? Are cabanas at the volcano pool and patios at oasis? I tried to find pictures and it looks like it’s more of a shade pavilion than an actual cabana with any privacy. Also, I thought I read you can order food to be delivered to your cabana, is that right? Do they have waiters or do you have to go order yourself? Just dreaming of lounging poolside with cocktail deliveries...any pictures of either would be appreciated. Mahalo!

I would agree with @Cluelyss, using Disney ME may not allow you to make that ADR. From the airport, ME may stop at other resorts before you reach the Polynesian. For example if your flight is scheduled for 6:30 PM if it only arrives 15 minutes and then you have to wait 15 minutes for your ME bus to load and depart. You lose 30 minutes of your 2 hour window before adding another resort stop.
Next up is a question to you. How do you plan to get from the Polynesian to DS?

Personally, I like to take it easy our first night. Who needs the stress of trying to make a reservation on your first night. So many great dining options at the Poly too. Plus, you will likely be tired from your wedding the night before. Relax and take a walk around the resort.Thank you!!
I think we would have to Uber it from the resort, even if I move back the reservation because I know the buses can take a while. My fiance just told me that he loves the DME bus so it's looking like we may just have to relax at the resort that night and not make any DS dining reservations. But that's ok, it's our first time staying at the Poly and it will be fun to explore! Thanks so much for your help!
We don't plan any ADR's for our arrival day. We tend to arrive around early evening, and we always end up grabbing something quick and light at the resort, watch fireworks, and roll into bed. We like to get up early for rope drop the next morning.Thank you!!

According to Disney: An 18% gratuity, $3.00 delivery charge and 6.5% sales tax will apply to all delivery orders for Personal Dining. The "Twilight Feast" is currently $50 or it is 2TS credits per serving. The children's portion has been eliminated. Can anyone tell me if the gratuity for the server is included when Ohana "twilight feast" is ordered thru room service or do you tip when food is delivered???

If you’ll be staying at the resort, I recommend enjoying some drinks and small plates on Trader Sam’s patio followed by fireworks from the beach. This has become our arrival night ritual!Thank you!!

I ordered the Twilight Feast for one last week after a long day when we just wanted to get room service. Three of us shared it (2 adults and 1 child) and we still had plenty left over that could have fed another adult. It's a lot of food! It was delicious, and then I didn't feel bad that I never got an 'Ohana dinner adr. I wasn't sure what the deal was with the gratuity so I also gave the delivery guy $5. Oh well, I'll know for next time.
Happy Anniversary! We checked in last night late. Our flight landed around 8:15, and we were the last people on our ME bus before we left MCO. We were at the Poly by 9:30 after stopping at the GF first. We have a room in Fiji on the 3rd floor facing the GF and Wedding Pavilion. I’m not sure if we’ll miss any of the Poly ambience being on this side of the resort, but we are here to celebrate our belated 10th anniversary, and we were married at the Wedding Pavilion, so it’s the perfect view for us, and only 2 doors down from the room we requested on TP! I’m excited to experience our first full day as Poly guests!
