I am arriving on May 6th and am staying in the DVC building I have not received any email Are all of you who have received the email staying in the hotel side?

That’s what we assumed at first, but it was reported that was just a holding area for supplies and a crane for painting the upper floors railings and ceiling. The main lobby (seating area, rugs, reception desks, etc.) have not been refurbished yet. It was announced the rest of the lobby will be completed after the holidays. Hopefully we’ll get some announcements regarding the status of the return of the closed restaurants soon.

We have a waitlist for a Deluxe Studio on the DVC side in July. We are booked at the Poly if it doesn’t come through. I just don’t know if I want to stay at the GF if the lobby is going to be torn up.

I am using my DVC points for the stay, it’s split due to last minute booking. Staying in BPK and also the DVC Villas building.

The entire lobby. Which I unpopularly wish they would gut and start entirely over but I know they won’t. In reality I expect a new floor (gee, maybe something designed so I don’t almost sprain my ankle every time I cross marble to carpet on that ridiculous threshold) that will be a new/old vibe as seen at RPC, removal of the life size bird cages that leave guests not in the know wondering what exactly they are for (and is now an utter waste of expensive square footage), a deep refurb of the glass elevator and my longshot is a re-do of the front desks allowing for faster access onto the floor where guest are. Alas remodeling the Flagship Resort’s Lobby is not going to be a small, quick, or cheap task- especially since they are going to keep it operational.

In preparation for your upcoming stay, we would like to make you aware of renovations that will be taking place during your visit. While we work our magic, you will see or hear construction around Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa – including our lobby – during daytime hours.

Construction work has begun on one of the buildings next to the Beach Pool at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. There is not a specific end date for this refurbishment at this time

Checked out of the villas today. Renovation work in villas lobby (fountain drained and three large blowers on 24/7). It looked to me like it might be up and running again soon, but lobby was a write off for my trip.

No work at all in main building lobby.

Other than scaffolding at front of building and a closed path to Poly, I didn’t see anything and around the beach and pools was entirely unaware of any construction. I’m sure this situation will keep changing on a weekly basis.

Does anyone know if 4329/4429 are still king rooms or double queen? TP room finder shows them as double queen, but past posts (@trishadono ) indicate they are king.

Today, we have an exciting update many of you have been waiting for: 1900 Park Fare is reopening at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on April 10. This iconic restaurant will feature returning guest favorites along with a newly refurbished dining room and other special touches.

Here are five things to look forward to when you return:

1. Wish Upon a Star with Favorite Disney Characters​

Because meals are best enjoyed alongside friends, a few familiar faces will stop by throughout breakfast and dinner — some for the first time at this location! In this refreshed character dining experience, you’ll be joined by Aladdin in his Prince Ali look, Cinderella, Mirabel and Tiana in her new look for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as they celebrate the power of a wish.

2. Enjoy a Feast Fit for Royalty​

An enchanting buffet will be served for breakfast and dinner, featuring some returning guest favorites — yes, that includes the strawberry soup! — along with new menu offerings dreamed up by our talented chefs to pay tribute to some of the characters and stories you’ll encounter throughout the restaurant.

3. Look for Nods to the Restaurant’s Heritage​

Fans of 1900 Park Fare will remember Big Bertha, an antique organ that has called the resort home since 1988. Look for her in the main dining room, where she’s on display as its grand centerpiece!

Just like before, carousel theming is woven throughout the restaurant — starting with the impressive new mural shown above, which will serve as the focal point of the restaurant’s entrance. In one of the adjoining dining rooms, you’ll find drawings of carousel animals inspired by classic Disney films like “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Little Mermaid.” Keep an eye out for other hidden carousel details when you visit!

4. Delight in Exclusive New Artwork​

The artistic touches continue throughout the main dining room, where you’ll also find twelve new portraits created exclusively for the restaurant by Disney artists. Each one, inspired by the impressionist art style of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, features a different Disney character as they hope, dream and wish upon a star (or even a magic lamp or a wishing well).

5. Celebrate Traditions and Create New Ones​

Over the years, 1900 Park Fare has been the backdrop of so many of our guests’ favorite vacation memories — mine included! At the heart of this unique restaurant is the magic and whimsy of turn-of-the-century gardens and fairgrounds, where people of all ages came together to enjoy each other’s company. Very happy to read the news, but looks like we've moved away from the theme of the resort with the character choices (I mean not that Beauty and the Beast/Enchanted Rose is a great fit either.) What an odd mix, although I guess we're all used to princesses appearing together, so Tiana and Cinderella don't seem that unusual together. But Aladdin and Mirabel in Victorian times? I hope they do something with Alice and the Mad Hatter in the tea room, because I'm sad to lose them!

Well the room is too small for 2 queens I think. We had 4329 and it was a small room but set up differently than other rooms and had a large balcony so we didn’t mind. If you look at room maps this room has less square footage,

I arrive 4/10 too ! My bday is the 11th. I think I might book that for my lunch that day , the latest time they have.

Oh I would recommend requesting 4x23 ,4x28 which have a larger room/hall section, @2vets had one in Nov when I was in the deluxe across from her. Pix posted back end of Nov I think.

@trishadono , Ty so much!!!! We have stayed RPC multiple times but have never had a standard room, so this is a little new for us. Last time we also faced the main pool and found the music unspeakably loud until after 10 p.m.- not sure why as this had not happened previously! I am hopeful it was an off week as we are slightly wary to face it again.
And have the most magical time on your April trip, it will be here before you know it! What a fantastic way to celebrate your birthday!!!
