Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Hi! I’m currently having trouble deciding between WL CL and BWI CL. Would you be able to share your opinions on which may have better food offerings and has a more quiet lounge? Thank you!
My friend was just as BWI cl and said it was very busy. It’s not a large space so it can be hit or miss /quiet or busy. However wl has seating that’s scattered. There is plenty of space to get away from noise /crowds. I rank gf RPC 1st then WL cl for space.

Food offerings? BWI is more traditional flavors whereas WL can have some western items mixed in but overall they have plenty and you should find something you’d like. WL has a beer tap for those you like beer.

I have done BWI a few post Covid trips for my splits to walk to Epcot/hs. I have not been back to WL in a while cause I’ve been on the monorail for my splits. However I would go back in a heartbeat. It’s a lovely resort.

Oh I like the pools at WL and QS availability more than BWI.

I posted pix of my lunch at Geyser Point last week on WL thread if interested. Dd and I often go there to visit WL.

Hands down the WL CL has the quieter lounge. There are tables located around the edge of the 7th floor balcony which give you a birds eye view of the gorgeous lobby. There are comfortable couches further into the lounge area. We love the WL lounge.

Agree! I was there recently and it is so cozy!

So I guess we’re in the final countdown of GF Royal Palm Club reopening - who here will be first to give us a report!?

In a way this will round out a multi-year cycle of resort and lounge renovations, which in general have mostly brought improvements to the CL lounge experience, in my opinion.

I concede RPC is not necessarily my favorite CL experience and I swore off staying there after my last stay (March 2022) until the rooms were renovated - so I guess now I don’t have an excuse anymore, if I can ever actually find any availability. 🙃

Very curious to see what all they have done to the lounge space.
What do we know about the re-opening? I haven't been keeping up. Better check the GF thread to see if there is anything there.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I ended up booking BWI since I was scared it was going to get sold out and was planning to be at Epcot for F&W festival. I just checked and looks like WL CL room is no longer available. Hopefully BWI won’t be too noisy since I was thinking of getting some work done in the lounge prior to heading to the airport. But WL sounds lovely and definitely want it to try it out next time.

Oh wow. Now I’m starting to regret my decision that I booked BWI. That sounds so cozy. Maybe I’ll keep checking if the availability opens up again. I just wish WL was a lot closer to Epcot.

If you are looking forward enjoying F&W I think you will be much happier at BWI.

I have BWI cl booked for Nov. it’s a great location for Epcot!

We were there last at the end of August. Other than the small freezer for the ice cream novelties finally being de-iced, everything seems to be the same! The food offerings haven’t changed for dinner in at least seven years, so at least there is consistency there, lol. They did bring back some “kid” foods for dinner and rotate through chicken nuggets, corn dogs and roll ups/ uncrustables day by day. They also rotate between bacon and sausages for breakfast. On our last night, they had a few new red wines, but I was told it was just a “fun” addition for that evening and the wines will continue to be what they have been for years, just like the food.

So, to sum up- same old, same old 😆

Have a GREAT time!
We’ll be back in November after not visiting in 2 years. I’m assuming the dinner schedule is still the same then? Specifically butter chicken being served on Sunday evenings? 😁

Don't regret your choice. There are good reasons to stay at BWI and one of them is location. :)
I agree . I’ve stayed both CL. They are both nice at the CL. However, as far as resorts are , I like BWI better for location. The busses at WL to Epcot and HS were the worst I ever had and I have stayed at every value and moderate multiple times and all deluxe ‘s not on the monorail.
The other thing was that my kids ate more food at BWI. WL had things at nightly appetizer they didn’t care for like northern fish type things every night. Although the tap beer was cool for me.
Still , my next reservation is not there , it’s at BWI. And I also enjoyed AKL CL better.

Regarding the buses, that’s definitely good to know, thank you! I didn’t really want to waste a lot of time on transportation for such a short stay. I actually tried AKL CL last year and enjoyed it as well.

have stayed at all varieties of WDW hotels since 1987; have tried ASMusic and Movies, CS, Dolphin twice(business convention), and AKL CL for Walts 100 at the end of Sept 2001 which was empty as was the parks; first major CL trip was in 1989 i think, at the GF Concierge when they had the super Grand Plan which they didn't want to do because it was redundant in perks but after a call to Eisners office we got it - ate twice at the Empress Room and twice at V&As - hated the suit at wdw but it was worth it; the trees were newly planted so the view of the MK was wonderful - now its blocked a bit from those 'redwoods' lol;

then when they opened the WL we always stayed there even before they created the CL there; we felt that even though it was definitely full of disney effects we always thought it was the one resort that you truly felt you were in Yellowstone and not inside a disney park, the music in the lobby, rocking chairs by the fireplace, flag family of the day etc. But then as we got older, more spoilt, and more flush with gelt(yiddish for cash lol) we started staying again in the GF CL either 4421 or 4422, the octagon honeymoon suite or the weirdly shaped Deluxe next door;

then when some disability issues began we thought the more convenient stay would be around Crescent Lake; since we were coney island visitors we chose the BWI although have stayed at the YC too, which we remember passing by in the tram that made the loop from Epcot to BC, Y&B, Swan & Dolphin and then in front of the construction walls of the BWI back to Epcot. Now after the last couple of years when I swallowed my pride and rented an ECV from Gold, it is the perfect location to do Epcot and DHS; we really dont do AK much anymore and we take the accessible minnie vans to the MK;

i have never had any complaints about WDW hotels and parks except for during the tenure of Bob Paychek and am glad he is gone;

we are going back to the BWI Deluxe CL on sept 26 and then again jan 30; then hoping to go back spring of '25 when 1st grandchild who is due nov 16(going to stay up by DD for the whole month of nov in a Homewood suites by hilton(not much else around there except for the Mohawk Casino) to help out; so wdw trips might be put on hold until we can all go together; DD's first trip was at 23 months old so her DD can hopefully go at 17-18 months of age; a nice 2BR suite or 2 connecting rooms in the CL hopefully at the BWI CL or another since DD wants to be on momoail so maybe back to the GF it will be;

we also did the DCL once, the Wonder, for DDs Bat Mitzvah present; we did the land and sea but we front ended a full week at the GF CL in 4421, the octagon; there was a little problem in that your accommodation on the ship determined your accommodation level at the resort; since we stayed in the Walter E Disney suite on the DCL Wonder we were guaranteed the GF CL; however, those pesky computers only allowed 2 people in the honeymoon suite and we were 3; so 1 call to Eisner's office and another nice convo with Lucille Martin, who was Walt's secretary, then Eisners, locked out 4421 for the 3 of us for the week; over the years i developed a friendship with Lucille and always called her when an issue arose and just like magic everything worked out; i was sorry to hear she passed because she truly embodied the magic of Walt and what he envisioned for CMs at Disney;

8 sleeps to go including tonight if i ever make it to sleep and then the BWI Deluxe CL here we come; hoping to get a desk because there is no way i can manage using the laptop on the bed; but i am sure the magic will happen as it always seen to do;

Butter chicken was Fridays for years and years, lol…but after Covid, they switched to a four-day rotation so you probably ended up with the butter chicken on Sundays by fluke! And yes, they are still serving it :).
