Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

I must not have enough posts to be able to include pictures. I tried to post a link to the touring plans room finder, but it won't let me do that either. If you look at the room finder for standard room at the BWI, there's a bank of elevators in the middle. Our room was just south of the elevator bank. It was room 3290. Not a club level room. The balcony was only a standing balcony, and like I said, we were totally surprised by it because we didn't even know BWI had those.

We almost asked for a room change, but the room itself was awesome. You can kind of see from the room map that it's bigger than other standard rooms. It had a long entry way, walk in closet and the bathroom set up was different.
I think I’d keep a bigger room too!

Question, to those who have stayed at either Stone Harbor Club (Beach Club) or Regatta Club (Yacht Club). Food wise which had the better food, higher quality. I know these are opinions but we are torn between the two and the food will be the deciding factor for our family. Thank you for your help.

They are basically the same.

I like the Beach Club when I go with my grandchildren, more kid friendly. I haven’t been to the Yacht Club for a while, but they share the same kitchen and the food is the same

Thank you KerryCM, going with my husband and mom this trip. No grandchildren this time, and they will be missed dearly. So just looking for the best club level for my mom who is a foodie and loves good food. Thank you for your replies.

As previously mentioned, very similar in a lot of ways (food, layout, etc), but I would definitely go Yacht Club. Better vibe for adults and much better rooms.

Might anyone have any insight/experiences with Gluten Free options that are available? We are thinking of booking Gran Destino, but my husband has Celiac so we need to see if it's even worth it because of the GF.

I also couldn't find much information on this, but are there any food options available specifically for the younger kids?

Ty!

I stayed CL at BC and YC non cl. I prefer YC hands down, even without the club. BC was very busy whereas YC was calmer and more relaxing overall. My understanding is they share a kitchen like kerrycm said, so I would choose based on what you think looks nicer.

KerryCm, would you prefer one over the other, food-wise. Which one is better in your opinion. All opinions of course are welcomed. Thank you.
Since they share a kitchen they also share food so it’s the same
YC is updated. It’s got much better rooms. I prefer it for that reason

They are sister resorts & pretty much always have the exact same club level offerings. The differences are in atmosphere & room designs. So pick the resort & not the food. That said, BWI seems to get more rave reviews for their food than Y & B. Maybe that would be a better choice for your mom?

I have stayed at both BC CL WV and YC CL WV. No question in my opinion stay at the Yacht Club. Here is my reasoning: The food is pretty much the same, good at both clubs. I have found that the YC had some better choices at BK. The YC CL WV you have a greater chance getting a full balcony( a lot better chance) facing Epcot where you can see the pool, lake and Epcot fireworks at night while drinking a beer or wine from CL back in your room. It is absolutely quieter on the CL floor than at BC CL. That’s on 12 total CL stays, 8 at BC and 4 at YC. The YC rooms have no rugs which I feel the rooms are cleaner although it could be my imagination. CL CM’s share both CL areas. Over the years I have seen CM’s that I recognize from each club. I also like the lobby of the YC much quieter which Ale and Compass Lounge and Crew Cup Lounge a nice place to have a cocktail or two. Also the quiet pool from CL is easy access from CL, right down the elevator, take a left toward the Ale and Compass marketplace and right through the doors to the outside. Pool is right in front of you. That’s if you don’t use Stormalong Bay which is fantastic but can be very busy. Again if food is the deciding factor I would give YC is slight edge but I would also take the other observations that I have made. I will be there again in December for 10 days.

This depends soooo much on the staff and kitchen. I’ve had experiences ranging from staff putting together a small plate of food I could eat from the standard offerings in the back for me to avoid cross contamination to being made completely special full meals. Either way, they will always happily do something in the back to prevent cross contamination and always have yummy gluten free goodies in the back like donuts, bagels, bread, cookies, and brownies. As a celiac I’ve always have an excellent experience with Disney CL! Just make sure to let Signature Services know ahead of time and then mention it again any time someone calls you before your stay.

Wanted to come back to give a quick report on thoughts regarding Portofino & CL. I'm leaving it here for those who may find it interesting for a trip themselves
Yes, it was a giant leap above HR. Of course, I think CL at Motel 6 would be, LOL
We got a room early, +1 for PF (never happened at HR) and it was close to lounge. No balcony but not used to one at HR so not a huge deal
Hate their bathroom set up , clear shower door in sink area, have to get through both to reach toilet. Will prevent any future stays with family other than DH
Resort had daily housekeeping offered (you got to choose) and turn down. I don't know what was for CL only and what was for all resort guests.
Services
Breakfast offerings, about equal to Disney's CL. Except no mimosas :( and no latte machines :(
Mid Day offerings, about equal to Disney's CL. Again, no beer/wine to ask for. They do get a slight nod in that they had chips/salsa or hot breadsticks/marinara or hot pretzels/grain mustard out too.
Dinner offerings. Very good food. Serve yourself from buffet vs. plated but otherwise, similar variety of things out. This is where Portofino shinned over what HR did. It fell WELL short. Alcohol was large pours. Though BWI gave me an entire bottle of wine to take to my room, without asking so I'd take that over a large pour at dinner ;) Beer options awful, domestics and Peroni was it. I don't count Bud, Bud Light and Mich Ultra as beer. I drink water before I drink those. Yes, I'm a beer snob. And they charge extra to the room for hard liquor! I guess it's good they have it? I don't drink it much so it didn't make a difference to me either way
Desserts again, equal to Disney's but minus cordials and wine/beer. Lowes pulls liquor at end of Dinner service on the nose.
Also, they boot you from CL at check out, which sort of sucks when you have a late flight. Kinda rude if you ask me.
I'd do it again if the room was cheap enough with AP discount I guess, if it was DH and I only.
Thank you for the review! How was the check-in at PHB when staying at CL?
My family's very first CL experience was at PHB back in 2017. Didn't know much. In 2018 we stayed at the GF Main building. We were greeted at the curbside and escorted to the lounge. That was a great experience in comparison to the check-in at PBH. I wonder if anything has changed at PBH for the better.

We stayed PBH cl last year. Nothing special for check in, just checked in at the desk. They told us where our room was and where the lounge is. I've never been greeted for cl at Disney either though🤷‍♀️

Hi! Longtime lurker here. Thank you for this fabulously helpful thread. Just finished a 9 night stay in 3 club levels--BW, RPC, and Poly. And oh my goodness, I'm obsessed. All three were fabulous and the food was to die for.

Would love to stay at RPC next July 2023 but I'm not seeing any availability, even trying many different dates and combinations. Is it possible the main building rooms are being remodeled at this time or should I keep stalking the site for availability?

Thank you for your help!

There’s almost no difference in food options between the two. But the BC (on our last several stays) was very populated with unsupervised children, as well as children sitting separate from their parents - I mean, hey, who doesn’t want a break from their kids and a more relaxing dining experience, but this left several others without places to sit. I mean, like, the two parents sitting at a table for four, while one kid sat at a table where the kids’ movie could be seen, and another kid sat at an entirely different table and watched an iPad, and no effort was made to move or consolidate when people were wandering with plates of food. We didn’t have that issue at YC on our two stays.

Thank you so very much to everyone who replied, it did help me to decide which resort to choose for our stay. Based on everyone's replies we are going with Yacht Club. You all gave such detailed and honest reviews. The information really cleared things up for me. God bless you.

Hey there CL experts,
I have a couple of questions regarding CL. Last week I booked a week at the GF CL (1 room for my wife and I and 1 room for my 80yo mom and her friend). She needs a scooter. After reading some earlier posts and looking at other options, I am thinking of changing resorts. I am thinking of changing to the BC because more restaurant options around the that lake versus Bay Lake and easier to get to with a scooter. I was also thinking easier for my mom to get to EPCOT and HS with scooter then trying to get on the monorail. I think she would only have to fight with the scooter when going to MK and AK (2 parks) if staying at the BC versus all four parks if staying at the GF.

Would you stay with the GF CL or change to the BC CL?

Between the YC and BC, is one better than the other?

Do the YC and BC share the same CL lounge?

Am I over thinking and should just stay with the ressie at GF?

Thank you ahead of time for your opinion, advice and help!!

Check in annoyed me. There is nothing special done for CL at check in
I did online check in, which went fine. It didn't go fine at the resort.
When we arrived there was a sign in the lobby that mentioned online check in but it never told you where to go. No arrow, it wasn't by a desk, it was by a plant. The line at the desk was very long. DH and DGD were standing to the side with the bags and finally someone else came in and asked one of the staff standing around in the lobby about where to go if you did on-line check in and he explained that you go to the empty counter at the check in desk and the next available clerk will come up. DGD overheard and come to tell me so I went over there. The staff from the lobby apologized that their sign was so vague and explained they know they need an arrow on it but they aren't allowed to add one to it.
So it was all rather pointless to have the sign that gives no direction
