Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

I'm not sure if i should ask this here or on the WL thread, but we are staying in a deluxe club room in January, and have two in pack n plays. Has anyone stayed in that room layout that can remember if there might be enough space for both, hopefully both in the bedroom, but if we needed the living part we could make it work. We like to put the kids to bed earlier then enjoy some quiet (and snacks 😂) before going to bed ourselves. Thanks!

We were in room 4000 one night close to Thanksgiving, and we were told it was normally a deluxe club level room (we were moved from a DVC studio that had no hot water). I am attaching a picture of the living room area. My bedroom picture was basically of the beds (why?!), so it wasn't helpful. I think you definitely could put two in the living room if you moved the table, but I can't remember the spacing in the bedroom.

For what it's worth, we loved that room! It is really far from the elevators, though. Very convenient to the stairs and a great view of the Water Pageant. No club level then, so I can't speak to that.

From July ! Lots of space . I’m just not sure size of pack in play? It’s been too many years since I opened one up 🤔😂266646C0-D4C6-4797-87FA-A311B640E6D4.jpeg9284649B-C102-4AF0-B675-8C479FDC4C47.jpegAED8B4B0-0F80-4814-82C7-CA3D71116438.jpeg723BD5AC-4205-4336-8659-6093FAF4191E.jpegF9D9C4A2-4F69-4B64-8960-E2E73C242D01.jpeg84C726A6-4C3A-4154-9777-21AF22644184.jpeg4F8BCD21-733E-4FA8-90F5-F0F809115F60.jpegC8FAEE71-A1E7-40F7-8127-80B7E0434E81.jpegDD1A7D59-81A3-4446-8412-A2C6FFC7B7BD.jpeg

I also emailed DSS on Monday to add a room request and for a dining reservation. I got an auto email saying I would receive a response within 48 hours. It’s now Sunday morning and no word from them. Trip is in 20 days now and I never got a call from them either. 😔
I had to send 2 emails before I got a response. I waited 6 days after my original email before emailing a second time. I was at 61 days and needed to know if I had to call in the morning to book the tour. I got an email about an hour after my second

Oh, ok. So DSS will book the $450/ hour and up Private VIP tours but that’s it. That’s ridiculous. I am more disillusioned by the minute. Why even bother offering DSS at all? Disney can save themselves another $20 an hour & just get rid of the single DSS CM altogether.

Note: no, I don’t know there is only 1 DSS CM. If they were fully staffed, they should be providing the expected service.

Oh perfect! I bet one would fit right there at that double door space, and I love that there's two doors to the bedroom! Thank you!

Oh thanks for that info! I have noticed we will be the furthest from the elevator, but great to know there are stairs close! (Not that it really makes a difference, we will have to walk the hallway anyway!) I'm also excited to see you had a decent view![/QUOTE]

No, they could not book my vip tour for me. I had to call the vip tour number on my 60 day mark at 9:00.

We also have never received a call or a response to an email room request. We also arrive in 20 days.

We are home from our short stay at GDT. Our first time there, so walking in the lobby/first impression definitely had the wow factor for us! Loved the tree and all of the Christmas touches.

We were there from Wednesday through Saturday, with CL opening on Thursday. We had Room 9511 and loved it....thought it felt deluxe-like. Only things we didn't love were things we already knew about - no balcony, no daybed, and the clear glass shower door. The bathroom would be great if that shower door wasn't see-through.

I posted all my pics while there. Last night we sat down and did a Pros and Cons list. Input from two 18 year old girls, me, and DH:

Pros:
Almond milk upon request.

Orange juice one morning wasn't Pog, but was something similar.

Large water bottles available all day.

Lounge very large, window views, lots of seating. A+

Coffee machine user friendly.

Very friendly and helpful CMs.

CMs great about keeping food refilled.

Bathroom in lounge very nice.

Cons:
No iced tea/lemonade dispensers.

No regular coffee dispenser (they had it in the back...said they didn't have room to leave it out).

Food offerings a bit exotic (a pro for some people and a con for others).

Tea selection on order/shipment delayed, so only 2 types to choose from.

No cookies for dessert! Hint/advice: ask the CMs and they may have a stash in the back.

Always ran out of fruit because a lot was being wasted! Many people were asking for a small bowl of strawberries or pineapple, etc., and the CMs would always bring out the fancy glass cup with one piece of each fruit on a toothpick. People would take the fruit they wanted and throw away the rest.

Kid station is "undecided" per the last CM we asked. She said it's an evolving situation and the rules are always changing. So just the pasta each night (first night had a light buttery/cheese flavor. Second night had the sauce mixed in).

Many families asked for PB&J. CMs were "running upstairs" and coming back with Uncrustables. It was never-ending......once a family saw another family, then everyone started to ask.

All in all, we really did like GDT! The lounge was so comfortable, the rooms were nice, liked the elevators, grounds were pretty. We look forward to following reviews to see what changes in the food offerings as time passes. I'm looking forward to giving feedback in that regard.

I made the switch from Yacht Club CL. We are now confirmed for 2 rooms next fall at WL CL. It saved $4,000 from not staying at 4 seasons and $1,000 from switching from Yacht Club. For a very short 3 night stay, I think it will be fine not being in the Epcot area as we won’t have park hoppers (unless my sons decide to add it last minute when there) we have chosen to do DHS and MK as our 2 parks, so having the boat from WL will
Make MK easy. We will just put up with busses for DHS :) The deciding factor was the beautiful newly renovated rooms at WL and every amazing review of Old Faithful Club. It has been said it’s one of the best Club Level experiences on-site, so I’m excited to try it! 🥰 Hubby will be happy as it was his requested resort Toto try for the trip too, so he wins that honour this time! Lolol…. Hoping the CL is as amazing as I’ve heard!

Hi everyone!

Last week I spent 2 nights at AKL (first time staying there!) in CL (first time in Club Level!). I referred to this forum for info so I wanted to do a quick write up on my stay, in case it helps anyone else.

Breakfast: The changing hot items included biscuits and gravy (day 1) and bread pudding (day 2), vegetarian frittata (this was called something else, not frittata), oatmeal. Cold items were lots of pastries (croissants were yum!), meats and cheese, smoked salmon, fruit and yogurt. Nespresso machine is so confusing to use! @_@

Mid-day (11AM-4PM): Chips, goldfish crackers, uncrustables, bagged chocolate chip cookies, candy (starburst, jolly ranchers, other small hard candies).

Evening: Night 1 was corn and chicken chowder (delish! My little guy loved it and I was grateful they served something he would eat) and falafel (I thought it was pretty good, but the folks next to us didn't like it); Night 2 they served something with lamb and something with pork, both of which we didn't try. Both nights had crackers with dips, olives, veggies, cheese and fruit. From 8-10PM they served small desserts (vanilla cream in mini cones, passion fruit tarts, coffee tarts, mini chocolate cake). They also had popsicles and mickey ice cream bars in the freezer. It wasn't obvious, because the freezer was small and there was no light inside! I saw other people with the Mickey bars and figured it out. On our second night, my mom saw ice cream sandwiches, too.

We never used the concierge to book anything. We actually didn't visit the parks (trying to avoid crowded places right now) and just spent the time around the hotel and Disney Springs. We asked for to-go boxes after we saw others doing the same and they were great about letting us take some snacks out of the lounge. We had to ask for water bottles (mini Dasani bottles).

Happy to answer questions about our recent stay!

for those who have done a recent tour what is appropriate amount to tip our guide?

I sort of hesitate to answer tipping questions since it's so personal, and especially since the tours involve a decent chunk of change so you'll never find two similar opinions. Over the years I've seen every answer under the sun when it comes to VIP tour tipping - from $0 to big bucks. Personally I do try to circle 20% or close to it, with maybe a little wiggle +/- depending on the day/experience.

I see a lot of posters say they tip the equivalent of an hour's rate, just as another frame of reference.

Hope that helps. Enjoy your tour!

Agree. I don’t necessarily believe in compulsory tipping but most are very good and well deserving. I have heard of large ranges from 0 from Mariah Carey and her huge entourage requiring multiple plaids to 5 figures from Jack Black for just him and his kid.

Looking to have private dining for our trip in April. Staying Poly club level. Do you think DSS can help us with that, and what would be the best contact info?

FWIW, the only resort currently offering private dining is GF. Who knows the status come April, but this doesn’t seem like something Disney has made a priority to bring back, unfortunately.
