We just got home yesterday from a six night stay at CBR. I was very concerned about construction prior to our trip and honestly went into our trip very low expectations for the resort. I was so extremely surprised- this is now my favorite moderate.
Here are a few details of our stay:
We arrived around 8pm and after a super fast check in we were told we would be given a ride to our room (in Aruba 53) by bell services. It was about a 30 minute wait. The kids were getting restless and the people at the bell services booth were so amazing. They gave the kids magic wands, pirates treasure, stickers and a cooler bag filled with snacks and drinks. Room was super clean, but I didn't love the location. About 5 min walk to bus stop and about 10-15 to get to food trucks, tent and large pool. If it was just an adult trip it would be fine, it was a bit long with the kids after a long, hot day.
We absolutely loved the resort, although we didn't love our exact location, I would stay again in a heartbeat. It was beautiful. Construction was not an issue at all. There is a crazy amount of construction everywhere in WDW, the resort construction had no impact on us. We couldn't hear a thing, even in the middle of the afternoon when the kids napped. The only time we really heard it was when we were down on the beach in the hammocks and even then it wasn't a big deal.
We ate at the resort just one meal and it was truly awful. Burgers were cold, salad was brown. Definitely don't recommend eating there.
Bus service at some points was great and at others terrible. We couldn't make it to pre-park opening reservations using buses. We had to use Lyft, which was easy and not expensive. Buses back to the resort mid-day and then back to parks at night were always timely. I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes. Going back to resort at the end of the night was rough- very long wait, but that is to be expected I think.
If you have an upcoming stay, don't fret about construction and have a great time! I wish we could go back!
