Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

We are 60 days out as well. The only thing that is completely booked up is SDMT on 6/10. This website is very useful to keep an eye on things http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=835236
thank you Bree...good site! We just payed the flights yesterday and hope to pay the tickets next week....just hope theres something left, thankfully my kids are not all that into SDMT , once was enough for them they said. As long as we can grab Pirates, Buzz, Space mountain, Splash mountain, jungle cruise and Haunted mansion sometime during the week we will be quite happy. If you hear a Scottish lady with Texan kids please do say hi :)

I'll most certainly say Hi! It's just me and my daughter. Husband and son do not like WDW!!! We are there until the 19th and then are moving over to Beach Club for 5 nights. My DD is attending the ESPN Soccer Academy while I enjoy some alone time at Epcot. I've never stayed longer than 7 nights at WDW so we are beyond excited to be onsite for two weeks. Thank goodness I drive there because I can pack stuff for meals and snacks. I couldn't imagine the food bill if we didn't do that!!!

Good morning!
I just finished posting a lot of pictures of my stroll around the resort on my trip report. I took pictures of the pathways, beaches, views from some of the buildings, hot tub, etc. Come on over and take a look-see. You can also find additional pictures and comments here

Takin' a stroll and takin' it all in!

Thank you for posting your beautiful pictures! 32 days for us!!

We are trying to do in-room breakfast this year for cost and time-savings. (packing fruit/cereal/granola bars/spoons/bowls and buying milk at resort)

Refillable mugs aren't worth it for us because we don't drink soda, but we need coffee in the morning.

Do the in-room coffee cups come with lids, or should we bring some travel mugs from home?

Any other inexpensive breakfast ideas?

Yes, they have lids.

We always like to have some sort of protein, so peanut butter toast/sandwich/crackers or yogurt.

Wish I was doing the CBR stroll right now, love to walk it early in the morning so DH can at least get some morning sleep in.

Yes they have lids but not very good ones in my opinion..buy some of those strong foam cups with lids out of wallmart, they are cheap and much more insulated too imo

hubby and I were laughing at something we remembered last year at CBR...we were having a terrible time getting Mousekeeping to leave coffee pods...we had two left ( one each ) so they were precious!!...we decided to keep them for the next morning as we need our coffee!... Hubby was awake first so he hopped out of bed, filled the coffee maker with water and the pods and hopped back into bed....we lay for 5 mins savoring the aroma...got up to get the coffee and he had forgotten to put the cups back under in the machine!!!! our lovely coffee had run out of the machine and into the sink...down the plughole!!! we laughed about it but still!! I made him walk all the way to OPR to get me some coffee.. so heads up..dont do what hubby did..LOL

Any experience with getting connecting rooms? I'd like a king room and my parents dont care. So maybe a king to a double queen room.

Walking distance question here. Do you think the walk from the pirate rooms to OPR is the same distance as barbados to OPR? We usually stay in barbados and don't mind the walk. Just wondering if it's about the same amount of time.

The walk from the closest point of Trinidad South is about 1 minute longer than from the furthest point of Barbados.

We have requested connecting rooms several times and have gotten our requests. Will you parents be on a separate reservation? If so, call Disney Travel and have them add the notation on the reservations AND have them link the two reservations.
