I don't think online check-in will give you a room earlier as the room assignor assigns all rooms a few days before arrival. Online check in is designed to make the process shorter once you're there. What will get you a room earlier is if they happen to have a room available in your view category. This has happened to us when we were willing to change a request in order to get in the room early.

You mentioned going straight from the airport to the parks. How will you do that? Are you renting a car or taking a car service? Magical Express will only go from airport to your hotel.

I just did my online check in for AKL and POR (split stay) and both online check in screens give you the option to check a box at the bottom of your requests that allows you to request early check in if you are okay with that trumping all your other selected requests.

That just means that when you arrive, they will give you one of those rooms if they are available.

I wasn't able to find this information anywhere, but you guys know what type of coffeemaker they have in standard rooms? My mother and I drink lots of coffee so we'll need to bring extra ammo.

I finally contacted the AKL IPO, our trip is less than 7 months away now, so I thought it was time to make first contact

Someone on the boards told me that the CL safaris are stopping in December, but when I got my IPO planner document it has the safari's in them.

I even mentioned in my e-mail that we were interested in them and she didn't say anything about them stopping...

Can someone clarify this?
