The articles are in several papers. They were also asked by the lawyers of that family whose kids suffered brain damage to put doors on all similar rides in the park. Including (get this...this guy should do his research):

Alice (Okay), Mr. Toad (sure), Peter Pan (Where???) and Sleeping Beauty (um...*what* ride vehicles I think he means Snow White )

What do y'all think...do all the similar rides in Fantasyland need doors added to the ride vehicles to make them safe, or would that really change anything other than making it slightly longer to load the attraction? If so, which rides in Fantasyland do you think need a little more done to them to improve their safety?

I think this is the first such accident in 45 years. A lot of people have ridden on these attractions without getting hurt. Yes, this accident was a tragedy (still is), but I don't think it warrants putting doors on all the rides.

Of course, this is my own very humble opinion.

I am all for trying to make rides safer but if you follow the ride "rules" I feel that the rides are safe as is.

I don't mean to badmouth Disney (because I love them with all my heart!), but I remember back when I was 13 and riding the Matterhorn. If I remember right there's a seatbelt you're suppossed to put on. I had a bag with me and took a bit longer getting myself in than the person manning the ride would have liked. So before I knew it, the ride had started and I was still fumbling around with the seatbelt. I was glad the ride went into an ascent throught he caves because who knows what would have happened had the ride gone into some sort of violent motion.

All the other rides seemed pretty safe though.

The only other awkard (not dangerous!) ride was the Haunted Mansion. Do those Doom Buggies still get pulled along on that conveyor-belt? I almost lost the person I was riding with when we were loading :)

Captain EO still running?

I dont think all the rides need doors..I mean they have the bar and the people running the ride check all of them.
But Alice they kinda have too because of that(NOT TO SMART...in IMHO)kid that decided lets stick my foot out and see where it can get stuck.(sorry,if i sound rude but I am SICK of people not using their common sense when it comes to riding rides...people need to get themselves in check and starighten up!!! What makes this so sad is I am 14 and thing this...and I use common sense so much!)
Me all better now!! :D
