To visit the park is a huge challenge for those with disabilities.
Disney World is changing their policy for disabled people. Having a picture taken seems ok but having to return later to get into an attraction simply makes it impossible for many disabled people.
if you call guest services they just take your feedback. but they just repeat that this policy would make things better for everyone. I think it will be better for people without disabilities who wait in the lines and don't like people "cutting in front". And yes some people are dishonest. This happens everywhere...people misuse handicapped stickers. True but if you take those handicapped permits away it only hurts the disabled people...and that is what they are doing when they tighten up you policies at the park.
People with disabilities need life to be easier NOT made any more difficult. It goes from extremely difficult to just impossible. Imagine getting your disabled body to Florida, to the park..in the gate..to the ride..to be told to come on back in 2 hours
How often do you see people in wheelchairs at movies, at restaurants, at events, in stores, in subways? Almost never...it is very hard to get out of bed let alone out of the house. And you are going to make me come back later?
This policy is designed to promote DisneyWorld to the abled, and will of course help sell even more tickets since the vast majority of visitors are "able". The few disabled people who are brave enough to get to the park will be hurt. Please don't make life harder for us even though we are a small minority.
