Pry not till the regular Winter Refurb time. They have Splash listed on Halloween and Christmas parties, which I don't think they would have it listed if known it was not going to be open during any of the 2.

exactly. I hope it turns out to be a must ride attraction (mean it still has the drop...), but if the rest of the 11 minutes is meh, then this will be a failure.

Honestly, if they use a lot of existing stuff, restored and working, it will already be impressive. They just need to change come characters.

Actually, why don't they just glue a TIana face on Brer Rabbit, and call it a day? She could hop her way through the bayou!

I just saw someone on wdwmagic say that insiders are guessing sometime in Fall 2022. I'm taking that with a grain of salt tbh.

The Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah finale is what I'm most intrigued about. They could do something amazing with that space and the music from Tiana. Hopefully they don't disappoint!

I was kind of hoping they would keep "Mountain" in the name, but oh well. I guess we lose one in the mountain range.

Well, to be fair, there really aren't any mountains in Louisiana or the bayou, so not including that in the makes sense.

Really, if they just use "Friends on the Other Side" for the build up for the drop, I'd call it a win... Hearing "Are you Ready?" during the climb will be great!

Yeah, but they can go anywhere they want - especailly to a fictional, mystical place. They could write a backstory for it that would work.

Splash was always barely a mountain as it is - it always struck me as a pile of sticks! 7DMT is more of a mountain really.

I dunno, if they close in January a little less than two years seems doable, they've probably been doing background work since first announcement. Remember: this was first announced in June 2020. That's a ton of time to develop animatronics/props and get a lot of stuff in order before closing the ride down.

Soooo now that we are going to the Bayou I think the beignets from the Mint Julep Bar in Disneyland need to find their way over around this new ride in Magic Kingdom in 2024!

Really hate to see this classic go, but it does look like it will be pretty fun/impressive.

Maybe Tiana's Splash Fountain, put some kind of fountain along the way.

Although it kind of has fountains already.

I do find it funny that right as we get more news about the Splash retheme, Tokyo Disney just put up a video on their Twitter account about a Splash Mountain event happening this summer:

They basically confirmed that the one in Japan will not be getting the retheme but I thought it was a funny coincidence.
