Disney Magic, 26 Oct 2014, 5 Night Western Caribbean

I love the sign up form! Much easier to collect information than how we did it on our last cruise. I'll go ahead and sign up. When I made all the gifts for our last one I didn't factor in transporting it and ended up using a suitcase and a half. Wow, was that a lesson learned! I like your idea of 10-15 cabins.

Love the Pink Champagne Girls idea! How fun!

Thanks! I had to buy the biggest rolling duffle to transport FE and still couldn't fit it all. This past cruise I shipped everything and it was much simpler. :)

I like the idea of 15. 20 is on the high side and I think 10 would be too few. 15 sounds great to me.

I considered that but DCL told me I would have to ship to Port Canaveral and from there they'd ship it to Galveston. I wasn't too confident of that scenario. Since we're sailing out of PC this time I may consider shipping. It sounds much simpler! :-)

Reached out to webmaster for help in changing the name of this one and in the roll call.

Fingers crossed!

Booking this cruise after the first of the year. It's our very first cruise!! Interested in getting to know people here to meet with on the ship. And any advice for a first timer is appreciated :)

Any luck Shoshie? I guess if worse comes to worse we just start another one and have it added to the meet list. :confused3

Hi Hearos! Welcome aboard! My family and I sailed on our first Disney cruise, well, any cruise in fact, this last October. There's a ton of advice to give but there's plenty of time to dole it out. I would recommend reading some of the trip reports posted. This will get you familiar with the DCL lingo and give you an understanding of some of the events that happen on the ship

:welcome: I wish I had known about the Dis before we went on our first Disney Cruise. This will be our 4th, and we love it! You are in the right place, and may want to also join the Facebook group. We have started a Fish Extender group, you might want to learn more and decide if this is something you are interested in joining. There is lots of information here on the Dis about Fish Extenders, here are some links to threads:

Thank you!! I have done SOOO much research already... I'm so ready to go!! The only thing I'm overwhelmed with is choosing a room. I know which one we need, but I'm not sure what deck we should be on...

I am a single mom from ohio and my son will be 1 month shy of turning 7 on our cruise date. I may be traveling with a male friend from New York, but it's not in stone yet.

I just signed up for these boards today! I'm interested in the fish extenders and door decorating ... FE if it's not too overwhelming... Also... What special Halloween activities happen on this cruise?

I'm so excited to hopefully get to know some of you on here, and maybe meet up on the ship...?? Is that what we do here? :)

Maggie_sam...... Is the FB group just for the FE?? Or is it for the whole cruise in general? I Don't have a fb!

Hearos,
Welcome! It is great that you will be on the cruise and that you have found the discussion for the cruise as well. It is great fun to get to know people a bit before we set sail.

The FB group is for anyone on the cruise. You can also join the FE even if you don't go to FB. We are keeping the FE groups smaller for this cruise, at 15 cabins, so if you want to join, it won't be too overwhelming for your first time :-)

Nothing. Anyone else want to give it a try?

Shoshie,
I just sent him a message. If you didn't hear from him, I doubt whether I will, but it's worth a shot, I guess. I'll let everyone know if I hear anything.

Everyone,
Just for the heck of it, I just checked our cruise to see if any of the secret veranda rooms had become available. It seems that 6134 and 6634 are (or were 10 minutes ago) available. So if anyone is booked in a Navigators veranda and is interested in having a CAT 5C room with a minor obstructed view for the same price, there are two of them available. We have been in 6634 and thought the room was great! 6134 is identical to 6634, but it is on the other side of the ship (port side)

Hi everyone!
My son and I will be on this cruise as well! This will be our 4th cruise and will complete our "Grand Slam" of having been on all 4 ships. I am a single mom and DS will be 7 at the time of sailing. I am interested in doing FE as well as joining the FB page. Can someone post a link to it for me please? Thanks!!

Hi Tink,
Welcome! This will be the 6th Disney Cruise for my daughter and I (both adults), but it will also complete our experience with having been on all four Disney ships. We have been on the Wonder three times, the Fantasy once and the Dream once (the inaugural cruise) and are looking really forward to finally being on the Magic, especially since it has been newly reimagined :-)

CatDenver -
I'm not able to PM you back, but thank you for sending the link to the FB page. I requested to join.
