Hi,
I wonder if you can help, struggling to find the difference between the stateroom categories 4E and 4D.

4E seems to have oversize balconies but are the rooms the same size does anyone know? 4 sharing and after the largest room possible , looked at some rewiews and still not clear! Thanks

Location.

The Cats ie 4 are all generally the same, some may have different beds.

The A/B/C/D is down to location as people prefer midship.

So A is the best preferred location, midship

Lower letters less preferred locations but still good.

Sometimes like Cat 5 the lower numbers will be spread over lower decks again in cruising the general view is the higher the better so the higher it is the higher the cost, and midship being best.

Some verandahs may have different types, plexiglass or solid metal, and some on newer ships may have a bump out verandah, but are normally all the same.

We have sailed on the Dream twice and stayed in a cat. 4E both times. We love the larger balconies, but I do believe the rooms themselves are smaller than the other cat. 4 staterooms.
The actual floor plan for a cat. 4E is the same as what is shown for a cat. 5 stateroom. There is very little space between the sofa and the sliding door to the balcony.

Thanks that's what I was wondering? 4E doesn't seem to have a mention on many guides for the dream. Much as I love the sound of the large balcony with 2 teens I could do with more space inside :(.

It depends on where you think you will spend most of your time. We had 4 people in our 4E and we did fine, but it sounds like you might be happier with a larger room. The other cat. 4 staterooms (A - D) will give you more room inside. If you go to the Disney Cruise line website, you can look at a 360 deg viewer and floor plans of the Disney Dream Staterooms.

Thank you so much for your help, think we are going to go for the 4D . Its $50 more so I guess worth it? Do really like the look of the oversize balconies though....
