Dining reservations on a party day at MK

I am asking this question for my friend. She is attending the MK on a Christmas party day but will not be attending the party. She made a reservation for 4:25. Will she need to cancel the reservation? I have looked but can't find the answer to this question.

She'll be fine. The park will close at 6, so if she finishes dinner after 6, she'll need to exit the park when she's done.

We have just learned we have a similar problem. Months ago we made MK park reservations and then 60 days out made dinner reservations at Skippers Canteen for 6:30pm. We wanted to eat dinner and watch fireworks with our four year old. Now, we find the day we planned is also a Christmas Party day. The park now closes at 6:00pm. Will we be allowed to stay? Will there be fireworks before 6:00pm? Firewowks at all? Thought about switching days, but there are no dinner reservations available now. Our daughter will be devastated to miss the fireworks. She's too young to stay really late, and the admission is a pretty big tab for any value we would receive. I can't believe Disney allowed us make reservations 30 minutes after park closing and/or did not alert us to the Christmas Party.

There will not be fireworks during regular park hours on a party day. As far as being able to stay, you can try checking in at the restaurant just before park close. I don't know if they will let you stay that far past park close, but if they do, you will likely be escorted out as soon as you finish dinner.

You can see the fireworks from the Transportation and Ticket Center as well as from the monorail resorts without a park ticket if that helps with planning them for another night.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately scheduling becomes an issue because four of the five nights we are there are taken by the Party. The night there is no party, we have reservations for Hoop Dee Doo which we do not want to change. I can't believe WDW takes four out of five weeknights for the party (even Friday nights). I guess extra $$$ are really the thing now. Disney is sure not as magical as I remember it. I still can't believe WDW allowed us to make the reservations. That just seems wrong-at least to me.
