We visited Sunday, December 19. For those who find this sort of info helpful, I documented our day. We used Genie+ and rode 33 rides. We walked casually and didn’t rush. We had restroom stops about once per hour and left the park for lunch. Touring Plans predicted a resort crowd level of 6. The longest wait times I noticed in the app was 145 minutes for Radiator Springs Racers, 120 for Rise, and 120 for Space Mountain.

The times shown below are the times we entered queues. Actual wait times when we didn’t use LL averaged 89% of what was posted. Assuming that would have held true if we had used standby for the rides we used LL, that means Genie+ (non-ILL) saved us 6.4 hours of waiting in lines. Given that Rise of the Resistance ILL costs the same as Genie+LL, the value is definitely a lot higher for Genie+LL in terms of how much time is saved in lines.

Thanks for posting, love the info. Still miss maxpass, would like to pull multiple passes for the same rides in a day. my thinking is that they will eventually have another tier like maxpass to generate more revenue.

I wouldn't be surprised if they expanded the per ride pay option for additional rides after your LL. I probably would budget $30 or $40/day (solo guest) if I could do Haunted Mansion, Indiana, and maybe Space Mountain if single rider wasn't running... There are some prime rides I like to do two or three times a day (if possible) and if paying for them is an option, I likely would use it.

Maybe only after 1pm or something to keep early return times decent or something?

You waited half an hour for Soarin’ in the lightning lane?! That’s kind of crazy, hopefully that was just unlucky! But sounds like an amazing day!

The problem with Soarin is that they often only run one bay, and even if you go straight to the merge point, you still have to wait through two show cycles before boarding.
Really? I’ve never had that happen before. Or at least I haven’t noticed before

Yeah, BTMRR is both of my kids’ favorite ride.

The half hour wait for Soarin’ LL was weird. The line for it was backed up all the way to the grill restaurant near it.

Today definitely seemed busier. BTMRR peaked at 115 minutes. It felt like more people were using Genie+ today, which isn’t surprising given the standby times. I don’t have anything to back this up, but it felt like they were releasing more LL passes today than yesterday, perhaps to satisfy everyone paying for it. Every LL we waited in was a longer wait, except Soarin’.

We decided to sleep in today and went into DCA at noon, bought Genie+, and still did everything we wanted (park hopped at 6pm). The passes were going faster in the afternoon (TSM was 3-4 hours out), but it slowed way down in the evening and we were getting immediate returns for several of them by then. Today, Genie+ saved us 6.8 hours of waiting, so very similar to yesterday.
