I'm in the military, but I'm about an hour from post. Does anyone happen to know if booking a cruise through MWR on post offers any incentives? (Tax free, discount, etc)?

no, it is not more convenient. You can contact DCL and they will be glad to assist. They will also know if there are any Military Discounts out there for your specific cruise.
