DAS and Shows at animal kingdom

I am so glad you updated us! I hope they are having a wonderful time. Also, have her keep in mind, under extreme circumstances when the DAS isn't enough, guest relations might be able to provide more help. Hopefully that won't be necessary, but it's there just in case. I really hope they are having a wonderful vacation!

it's only their first day but so far they're having a magical time!!
they keep sending pictures and videos on whatsapp- looks like great fun!!

an easy restaurant to get into is in Morrocco... not the new one, but Marrakesh.. they have the belly dnacers. we love the atrmosphere, and even my husband, who is a les than adentouraous eater liked it.
I also heard that the rest. in China is easy to get into.

one of our favorites is the lesser known Grand Floridian Cafe. very bright and cheery, and you get to see the GF resort!
Captan's Grille at the Yacht club is good, as is Big River Grille at the Boardwalk.


most people are telling you how the most popular restaurants are hard to get and that does not mean they are the best restaurants. (we ahve found Ohnanas to be less and less "stellar". DD might want to try kona cafe at the poly (although I hear they have become more poplular)

I have heard that Olivia's cafe at Old key west is good.

in the end, they got almost all the ADRs they wanted...
i spent the last 6 weeks on the disney website constantly checking for openings.
i managed to get everything they wanted except akershus, so that's pretty great.
They have ADRs for:
Be Our Guest (for dinner)
Rose & Crown (dinner for illuminations)

Yak & Yeti
Tusker House
Plaza Restaurant
San Angel Inn
La Hacienda de San Angel (dinner)

another update..

as we figured would happen - they had to leave the magic kingdom yesterday just after the parade because he was in so much pain, he couldn't manage any more time in the park.

And the park was so jam-packed, that to get out, they were taken behind the scenes, instead of fighting the crowds on main street that were streaming into the park...

They also didn't get to use their Anna & Elsa FP (because they had to leave). But they figure maybe they'll be able to DAS it another day (since they don't have another FP for it).

they were very pleased with how the DAS works.
It helped them a lot, but they feel it's a lot more fair now than the way the GAC used to work.

MK was absolutely awful yesterday. We were there too, and bailed out to Epcot before the parade even started because it was so crowded. My DH was getting super frustrated because we couldn't move and people were being very rude. Epcot was SO much better. I heard local schools were out for Veterans Day so I guess that was the problem.

they were at MK on tuesday (where it was crazy crowded and the park was kept open an extra 2 hours), then DHS yesterday - where it was very very crowded but still not as bad as MK....but DHS added a second fantasmic and other shows as well....mulch, sweat and shears also added a show...
she's at epcot today (thursday) - i haven't heard from her regarding crowds there..

but i haven't heard much at all today, other than their food porn (on whatsapp)...
