Cruise prices

Does anyone know if September DCL prices are still cheaper than January? I’m looking at next year and I know the fall prices aren’t out yet, I was just curious if there was a huge difference between the two cheapest months. It would be for either the Fantasy or Dream.

I thought January would be cheaper, at least after school has started back, because the weather isn't always as nice. But maybe people are escaping the cold more in January.

The prices are normally cheapest when the cruise becomes available for booking. The Sept 2025 cruises aren’t out yet. Early 2025 have been out for a couple of months now so they could have gone up from opening prices.

I was just looking at the Dream and Fantasy’s history, and it looks like they don’t usually sail to the Bahamas in September

I don’t know if you can use past itineraries to predict the future ones. Treasure is taking over the 7 nights Eastern/Western Caribbean routes that Fantasy is doing now. Early 2025 Fantasy is doing 5 nights Bahamas, probably getting sent to Europe for summer so when does it come back. I believe Dream is doing cruises out of Ft. Lauderdale.

That’s true. I forgot about the Treasure being added to the mix and potentially changing everything up. Yes. The Dream sails out of Ft. Lauderdale

I think both months are equal in terms of price. I prefer September weather over January.

If you pick any ship and look at prices for those two months, the difference between Sep and Jan seem to vary only by a few hundred dollars (If at all). I consider that amount less significant in picking a cruise than in itinerary or weather (hurricanes in September) or water & air temps in January.

I would rather deal with possible heat and hurricanes in September than cold in January, making a day at the beach just a day having lunch at the beach. I have sailed both months a few times.

You need to know your own response to temperature and how the risk of a cancelled/ modified cruise due to hurricanes would affect you.

Expect the Fantasy to still be in Europe in September.
