We are excited to announce Earl of Sandwich will be opening in its original location for a limited time in Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort. The popular fast-casual restaurant—inspired by John Montagu, the Earl who invented the sandwich in 1762—will be returning soon. Get ready to enjoy all your favorites from their famous hot sandwiches on artisan breads to hand-crafted wraps and a variety of freshly-tossed salads.

Watch for more exciting Downtown Disney news this fall as we welcome Salt & Straw scoop shop to the area. In the coming weeks, we will also celebrate the reimagined World of Disney store and the newly-renovated Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria – both of which are still open during renovations. In coming months, Ballast Point and Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes will also make their debut.

I wonder why for a limited time? Do you think they have plans for its replacement or just don't want to get peoples hopes up in case they go through with the hotel?

Because my guess is they are going to develop that end of downtown Disney into something else but aren’t ready to start construction and EoS is one of the few residents from that end that is easy to put back in.

So a friend and I ate here once about 2 years ago and we both literally couldn’t finish our sandwiches because they were SO bad. And we both got different sandwiches. We’re not even picky eaters and these were horrible. They both had some weird taste and were just nasty. I have an AP so I go to DL all the time and I’ve never gone back to eat here because of this. All I read is how great this place is and everyone loves it so I just don’t get it?? I’d try it again but it’s the fact that neither of us could finish our sandwiches, it wasn’t just me so....... :confused3
