Cass, Rob & Kira - July 2022 Disney Wonder Alaska Cruise - Worth the covid!

Wow wow wow girlie, you gave us alot in the last couple of days, thank you!!!! I am way back under the Falls, where Kira gave you guys a huge hug out of nowhere  well that nearly killed me, tears! It probably hit her all at once, I am so lucky to have these amazing parents in my life! and she probably felt overwhelmingly happy she was just there. Aw, awesome stuff right there, love it. I am just so enjoying this, it may just be my favorite Cass trippie of all time. But I'm pretty sure I say that every time. You know how I feel about endings...don't do it, just don't k?

This trip report has been amazing! I’m always sad we never had enough money when the cruise line initially debuted for us to go on one because I missed out on all the cool stuff like the vibe and the kids clubs!

Also once again gorgeous pictures!

We sail on Monday and I am so thankful for your trip report! It’s been amazing to follow along!

Would you mind my asking how much you tipped for room service? We have never ordered room service, so I have no idea.

July 14th, Part 7

Kira went directly to Vibe to see her friends. We went back to our stateroom, where this cute frog awaited us.

576.jpg

Here's the Vibe schedule for the day.

604a.jpg

I had wanted to walk over to see all of the cruise ship markings on the rocks but that didn't happen, so I admired from far. Each time a new ship comes here for the first time, they leave their mark.

577.jpg

578.jpg

The scenery leaving Skagway was my favourite scenery of the entire cruise. If you are cruising Alaska for snow-capped mountain scenery, please make sure to enjoy as much of the journey out of Skagway that you can. ::yes::

I look like I just woke up from a nap. I was just drunk on the mad scenery.
dreamyeyesf.gif

579.jpg

580.jpg

Here's my Razorback Ridge from a different, and yet still gorgeous, perspective.

581.jpg

While I headed to the pool, Rob went down to the store to meet up with Kira and her friends to buy Nani.

Remember she had been eyeing her earlier in the cruise? Well, after seeing a real bear today, she wanted to buy "Nani". It killed me that she didn't name her Thelma. :lmao:The bear she sleeps with currently, was a bear I bought her at Chateau Lake Louise when she was 7 months old, during her first visit there, which we named Louise. So now she has two bears and after meeting those alpacas today, I thought it would have been hilarious to have "Thelma & Louise" but that couple is a little beyond her years, so Nani it is. :rolleyes1

582.jpg

I was in my happy place, like usual, but I could not get over the view I got that night.

583.jpg

I could see mountains on both sides and then the windows of the concierge lounge were also reflecting the gorgeous mountains around us.

584.jpg

Rob joined me poolside once he was done in the shops. This is my sneaky view of him from the hot tub. It was so weird seeing him dressed like this while I was hopping back and forth from hot tub to pool in my swimsuit. :p

585.jpg

Once Suka kicked me out, I showered and then spent the next two hours on the verandah. Despite having so many wonderful memories and experiences on this amazing cruise, this part of this evening might have been my favourite part of this cruise. The views were just indescribable. The blues and greys of the mountains, sky and ocean were simply stunning.

586.jpg

587.jpg

588.jpg

And then, the sun started to set. Good Lord, I didn't think it could get any better! :worship:

Photos just don't do it justice but I did try to capture it nonetheless. I rarely take a panoramic photo but here I just had to!

592.jpg

593.jpg

This was me for almost two hours....😍:cloud9:

594.jpg

596.jpg

597.jpg

Kira popped in to grab something real quick and she ended up staying with me for a while, the scenery was so spectacular, it kept her away from her friends. That's how good it was. :rolleyes1

598.jpg

599.jpg

Sorry for the photo dump, We both tried to capture every second of it! I wish that I had done a time lapse that night.

604.jpg

I can't imagine a better way to end a day that has already given us so much to be thankful for. 💙
Omg I would too have stayed 2 hours to watch that beautiful scenery stunning

And the Pennette Bolognese is Kira's favourite meal of every cruise. She devoured it!
That is my favorite meal too. I typically have it more than once on a cruise. And sometimes I will ask for a smaller version of it as an appetizer and then have something else as my main meal. I won't know what to eat on the Wish without it.

You made great use of your time at Mendenhall!!! Those photos are incredible. And the 1 mile hike in....you guys are awesome! Well-deserved taxi back ;)
We did Mendenhall our first cruise up there so our kids were considerably younger at the time and if I remember correctly some of the trails were actually flooded. Needless to say we didn't get nearly as close as you did and did not get to nugget falls.
Okay, I just figured out the coolest way to split up your quoted post to respond! Yay! :cool1:

That sucks, sorry about Nugget Falls, maybe next time you can hike it ;)
I think I could get dh to return to Alaska.....in a few years and on a different cruise line. I really would like to visit Glacier Bay or Hubbard Glacier. I'm thinking the one way+ Denali cruise would be a good retirement trip for him ;-)
Oh my dog! That sounds AWESOME!!! I hope it happens for you! :thumbsup2

Yes Rob probably would have frozen his bum off on the small boat excursion as at times, it really was very windy and chilly eventhough we were in the sun for most of it. But the flip side is both dh and I didn't wear sunscreen and our faces got quite red from the sun, too :rolleyes1 Apparently my cheeks stayed red for the rest of the cruise too and they never knew if it was the sun or the wine :rotfl2:

It looks cold, he would have to wear his parka! :cold::rotfl2:

Probably a little of both!:rotfl2:

Awesome thanks so much for the taxi info!
Happy to help! :thumbsup2

I am all caught up! Gorgeous scenery (even with the fog!) and PUPPIES!

Still a shame about the food though-also still sitting in some suspense that something big is gonna happen

PUPPIES!!! right?! :dogdance:

Yeah food wasn't the best. Still, best cruise ever. 8-)

Loving the Trip Report and pictures. Your making me excited about writing my trip report abou the Wish when I go in February 2023

:cool1:

Love all the happy family pictures! Your images of Nugget Falls are great. The first time I visited Juneau as a kid, the falls were not visible. That's either a sign of how old I am or how fast Mendenhall has receded - maybe both.

Oh wow!! Definitely both :rotfl:

I’m working on a trip report of my own. You inspired me.

Wooohooo! Love it! :goodvibes

We had a table by the window in Tianas as well and it was the most amazing view pulling out of port that night.

Such a bummer about Ketchikan but I know you'll be getting your do over soon ;) K really is my fave of the 3 port stops on this cruise.
Yay for the view! Cannot wait to see Ketchikan. Wheels are already turning for another Alaska cruise next year. :rotfl2::rolleyes1

About the beignets: I thought they were 'different'....I could have sworn you got 3 and they were smaller :rolleyes1 So I might be remembering incorrectly. I thought they were a bit dry this time around (but I still ate them!)

Since we started sailing her in 2016, we've only ever gotten two each but they were more square-ish and had a big round bowl for the chocolate to dip in.

The ones at FQL are decent too, tastes completely different though, more doughy.

Haha love the bus driver had a light saber underneath!!! lol You all got the fancy coach for you shuttle each way, we got a regular city bus both ways, but our driver was pretty awesome!

And, those two cm's that greeted you when you got back on board? The gentleman on the left is Savio and he was our asst server
Oh really? Wow! We only ever saw the big fancy ones.

That's funny! Was he good? How was your service on this cruise?
We took to city bus out to Mendenhall when we visited in 2014, and this walk down to the entrance was a highlight of our trip. Such beautiful views, no one else in sight, and those white, dead-looking trees felt like something out of Tolkien. Loving all your pictures!!
That's awesome! And I agree, that walk was part of the awesome journey! So glad we walked! ::yes::

Cass, your pics of Skagway and the trip to Yukon convinced me, I booked a car for our upcoming cruise so we can make a similar journey. So excited !! Thanks so much for sharing.

Oh yay! You won't regret it!! Have fun! :woohoo:

And the suspense part is over! Shame it caused you to miss a day at a port but i a glad they gave you stuff for it (though I could understand where those by the propeller were less than pleased).

Luis sounds like an incredible cast member!

Now I want beignets!

Yeah, sad but it was still awesome and now we have a good excuse to go back :p

You and me both! 🤤
:wave2: My favorite family! Just found you!! Whoa, I've got a lot of catching up to do.

We've cruised 56 times in the past and Alaska is definitely our favorite. We live in South Florida and have done the Panama Canal twice, Hawaii once, and have visited the Caribbean too many times. We've cruised to Alaska four times, but not with DCL - with Princess and Holland America.

Sorry about COVID. We still haven't cruised since December 2019. Any hoo, can't wait to get into this report.

There you are! I knew you'd find me, you always do!:cool1:

56 is impressive and the fact that Alaska is still #1 certainly says something and I totally agree! :thumbsup2
I am now going to sing that in my head for the next few days. LOL

I've had it stuck in my head since this cruise. :rotfl2:

Just found your new trip report! Just came to say we got off the 9 night Fantasy and brought COVID home with us too. Testing negative now but still can't taste or smell anything unfortunately. Now to start on your awesome report!

Oh no, sorry to hear that! :worried: Feel better soon! It took me 3 full weeks.

It seems like they had one dude selling popcorn etc outside of Buena Vista the whole cruise, this is the same CM who was selling it on our cruise lol I might have to call him Popcorn dude if I see him in December !

Wow, you saw a LOT of whales that last day!

Popcorn dude! :lmao:

So many whales! :woohoo:

No! I don't want your TR to end!

I didn't want this cruise to end. Hopefully another one coming in January. 🤞

We had Luis for our 10 nights on Wonder -Vancouver to Hawaii in April. He's one of my favorites! Hoping to see him again for Alaska in 34 days!

Nice!! He was soooo awesome!!! You can call and request him, I requested the same team for my next cruise in a few weeks. :goodvibes

Well that looks like a mighty fine last Cabanas lunch ::yes:: Pretty awesome way to spend your last afternoon of the cruise :)

It sure was! :cloud9:

I'm trying to crank it out as fast as I can, I need to work on my videos before I get back on my ship that I thought I would never get back on. :rolleyes1:teeth:

I think you hit the nail on the head, that's exactly why we got those hugs!

Hahaha you're funny and so sweet! :flower:

This trip report has been amazing! I’m always sad we never had enough money when the cruise line initially debuted for us to go on one because I missed out on all the cool stuff like the vibe and the kids clubs!

Also once again gorgeous pictures!

I'm so glad we've been able to cruise quite a bit since she hit the Edge, she never liked the Oceaneer Club or Lab. :thumbsup2

We sail on Monday and I am so thankful for your trip report! It’s been amazing to follow along!

Wow, have so much fun!!! :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Would you mind my asking how much you tipped for room service? We have never ordered room service, so I have no idea.

It depends on what I ordered, usually $2-$5 ;)

Omg I would too have stayed 2 hours to watch that beautiful scenery stunning

It was gorgeous!

That is my favorite meal too. I typically have it more than once on a cruise. And sometimes I will ask for a smaller version of it as an appetizer and then have something else as my main meal. I won't know what to eat on the Wish without it.

Hahaha, at least you will have more pool deck options, those look awesome! :thumbsup2

Sorry for the delay, folks. Had to fly to Abbotsford (right next to Vancouver) yesterday to rescue my kid who had an injured toe and needed to get home ASAP. I spent 14 hours doing TWO 65 minute flights. :faint::rotfl2:Oh and don't ever fly to/from Abbotsford. :lmao:

Will try to post another chapter tomorrow, I want to get this sucker done and vacation videos finished before I leave for my do-over cruise.:p

Hey peeps!
welcomesmile.gif

We returned from this trip a few days ago but as you can tell from the title, we brought something back with us and it wasn't just cute souvenirs.
crysmiley1.gif
sneezing.gif

I started to get a little tickle in my throat on the flight home on Monday. I was hoping it was just because I didn't sleep well the last night of the cruise, which happens at home sometimes, but by the time I went to bed that night, I knew it was something more. I had a fever for two days, I am still dealing with a sore throat and some congestion. I did an at-home antigen test as soon as I got to the house but it was negative. The next day, Kira said she felt a little off so we both tested and we both were positive this time. Kira also had a fever for two days and body aches but she feels quite a bit better now.

Thankfully, Rob is still testing negative and Kira and I have been wearing masks around the house and staying away from him, so hopefully he doesn't get it from us. 😷 🤞

I still have to edit photos but I've done enough to get started so please be patient, this may take awhile to get through.
puzzledsmile.gif

This was not a perfect cruise, we had some issues, food was mediocre at best (for the most part) but I will tell you now, this was my FAVOURITE cruise ever!
onesmiley2.gif

It was also Kira's favourite cruise.
feeldaluvsmiley.gif

And it was Rob's second favourite cruise.

So, I hope you're ready for an overabundance of scenic photos, smileys and food porn.

oh bummer with Kira's toe, I hope she's okay! good job Mama for rescuing her, but it sounds like a very long day. So wait a minute, are you turning right around and doing a do over with this cruise, like very soon??

Oooh, do-over cruise? Love those. Mom and I are doing the Alaska September 12 because we did a Princess Cruise at the beginning of summer and even though it was an amazing British Isles cruise it just wasn't DCL lol.

July 17th, Part 3

Our last dinner was at Animator's Palate, where I finally got to see my kid. I loved listening to all of the fun she had been having. :chat:

828.jpg

It was also the Animation Magic night. :artist:

829.jpg

Zaldy saw me take pics of Rob and Kira and offered to take a family one.

830.jpg

I decided to do Charlie Brown but it didn't turn out so well, Let's just say this was Charlie's older, much taller brother. :rolleyes1:lmao:

831.jpg

Kira did her amazing abstract version. Rob went with Darth Vader this time, he wouldn't let me take a photo. :rotfl2:

832.jpg

833.jpg

834.jpg

835.jpg

836.jpg

Kira asked for her usual Mickey Ice Cream bar for dessert and was shocked when Zaldy brought her this. :worship:

837.jpg

838.jpg

The chocolate had stuck to the plate by the time she ate it but she didn't care. :p

839.jpg

I was recording, so here's a couple pics that Kira took. This is Rob's and Kira's...

840.jpg

And here's mine. It was so funny to hear all of the adults shout out "Hey! Charlie Brown!" None of the kids probably knew who he was. :lmao:

841.jpg

Kira left this note for our servers. 💜

Don't freak out, these table cloths are washable and they encourage kids to draw on them, in case you didn't know. ;)

We thanked Zaldy and Luis for such a great cruise and amazing service. I wish there was a way to fill out the survey that separates the service from the food quality. Even though the survey asks how the food was in each restaurant, the rating you give actually reflects their service and not the food quality. I know they get reprimanded for anything less than excellent, so I chose "excellent" for every one of them. Although the service was amazing, the food quality was less than stellar but it's not their fault. Disney really needs to revamp that survey! :headache:

842.jpg

Kira went back to Vibe to enjoy her last night and the Farewell show. She did take video, so I will include some of it in the vacation videos but she also took a photo that I am including here. The counselors take photos all week-long and then they create a farewell video and include all of those photos, which is such a fabulous touch, and I think this photo that they used captured Kira's entire week so perfectly.

844.jpg

Rob and I went back to our room to enjoy some verandah time while I digested my food a little before swimming.

843.jpg

845.jpg

We were doing 1.7 knots, not sure why we were going so slow? We got a little worried for a second but we eventually resumed speed.

846.jpg

And here we have a very happy Cass.

The last night is usually my favourite night at the pool. There is a show in the Walt Disney Theatre on the last night of every cruise I've ever taken which means I usually get the pool to myself. I think the only person I saw that night was a Cast Member that showed up on the last 4 nights to do some laps for 20 minutes. When he arrived that night, I was swimming so I headed to the hot tub so he could get his laps in.

847.jpg

My happy place. :cloud9:

848.jpg

I was sitting in the hot tub that's furthest away in the above photo, just admiring the view of the mountains, when all of a sudden, I see this big cruise ship go past, in the other direction. It was so close that I could see the top 4 or 5 decks from the hot tub! The second I spotted it, I called to Rob, who was taking time lapse video of the sun setting on deck 10 and I pointed out the ship to him. He had the same reaction as I did.

It kind of looked like this....
surprisedf.gif

Whoa! That was so cool! I grabbed my phone and opened up the Marine Traffic app to see what ship it was. It was the Serenade of the Seas, which is roughly the same size as us but it seemed bigger because it was so close!

849.jpg

Rob told me that there was another ship coming up, so I checked again and saw that it was the Celebrity Eclipse.

850.jpg

I went up to deck 10 to take some pics and it was neat to see but it wasn't nearly as close to us as the Serenade of the Seas! I wish I had that on video, it was pretty cool! 🤩

851.jpg

Back to my hot tub to enjoy more scenery.

852.jpg

This was Rob's view from where he was sitting. It's not as cold or as windy in the Inside Passage, so with a jacket, he was quite comfortable up there reading and time lapsing. :earboy2:

853.jpg

Sadly, I said goodnight and farewell to Suka as he closed up shop. I told him that I had put his name down on the survey and he was very appreciative. He told me that it really helps them out and I said, "I know, that's why I did it. Thanks for an awesome pool experience." :wave2:

854.jpg

I had packed up our stuff earlier so Rob put our suitcases outside.

855.jpg

And then we enjoyed our last little bit of verandah time, as the sun finally disappeared out of view.

Oh man, I spent so much time out there this cruise. I can't tell you how glad I was that we had upgraded our room at the terminal. Reading everyone's horrible experiences from the aft of the ship, it wouldn't have been the same cruise if we had stayed back there. If I wasn't eating or swimming or off the ship, I was on that verandah. We hardly did any activities because I didn't want to miss any of the scenery. It went from beautiful, to gorgeous, to stunning, to utterly breath-taking, back and forth, the entire cruise. I can't imagine having an Alaska cruise as my first cruise because I would want to do all of the activities and shows that Disney offers but then I would miss the views! We've been lucky to have done so many that we've seen all of the stage shows, played the trivia, we've done bingo, and towel folding and cooking demonstrations and game shows and variety acts. So, if you're thinking of doing an Alaskan cruise as your first Disney cruise, I wouldn't recommend it honestly. Go do a much cheaper Caribbean or Bahamian cruise, do all the fun stuff on the ship and then do an Alaskan cruise. And if you are able to, splurge on a balcony. ;)

856.jpg

We didn't give Kira a curfew this last night, I knew she would have a hard time saying goodbye to her friends and would want to spend every second of it with them. I did warn her that we were getting up around 7am but that didn't stop her.

She walked through the door around 1:30am, with glow necklaces around her neck and a smile on her face.
heartshape1.gif
:rolleyes1

I binged your report when I was supposed to be working today. :lovestruc I have got to book an Alaskan cruise....they look amazing! Love all your pics and love how grown up Kira is now. She's so cute!

Jill in CO

Hope Kira's toe is feeling better. I am absolutely loving your trip report and will be sad when it's done.

July 18th, Part 1

I woke up just before we went under Lions Gate Bridge. It was 4:45am as we passed under.

857.jpg

858.jpg

Once we passed under, I went back to bed until 7am.

859.jpg

I time lapsed our arrival from the bridge to Canada Place.

It was pretty funny and very cool that when we opened up our curtains, we saw CANADA! 🇨🇦

860.jpg

861.jpg

862.jpg

While Kira and I got ready and I packed up the last of our stuff, Rob went up to Cabanas for his final breakfast. They had closed the outside deck sadly.

863.jpg

864.jpg

It was about 20 minutes after Rob got back that they called our tag, Green Tink, so off we went. This was 8:27am.

865.jpg

866.jpg

We headed down to the baggage claim area.

867.jpg

We went through Canada Customs, where they asked us if we had bought anything and they were very specific, they wanted to know everything we had purchased. Oddly enough, no one asked to see our passports. :confused3

We followed the signs for Taxis where someone directed us to wait at a certain number. I specified that we needed a van. We were at #13 by 8:42am.

868.jpg

Looking back at the doors we just came out of.

869.jpg

At 8:48am, we loaded all of our luggage into the taxi.

870.jpg

Man, I'm going to miss Vancouver!

871.jpg

We were at the airport and had unloaded our luggage by 9:17am, it was $40 plus tip.

872.jpg

They don't have a dedicated Nexus line so it took awhile to get through security, they were definitely understaffed.

Kira and Rob got their Timmy's fix. :p I found a breakfast sandwich elsewhere, to munch on.

873.jpg

Heading to our gate, there is a massively long hallway FILLED with Disney figurines. It started with all of the Mickeys, then turned into Donald's, then Goofy's and so on and so on. That is quite the collection, YVR!

874.jpg

We found our gate, and eventually our plane showed up.

875.jpg

Just as we were about to board our plane, I noticed a tickle in my throat. I hadn't gotten a lot of sleep the night before, I was really hoping that's all it was, At home, when I get a bad sleep, I sometimes wake up with that same tickle and it usually goes away as the day goes by.

876.jpg

Rob was excited because we got to fly for the first time on a Dreamliner 787. He told me I was going to love it. I did not. :rolleyes2

877.jpg

878.jpg

We took off 30 minutes late, at 2pm. I love how Mount Baker was sticking out above the clouds.

879.jpg

And then other mountains too! <3

880.jpg

This was the reason I didn't care for the Dreamliner...funky new windows. They didn't have a pull-down shade. That little button on the bottom was supposed to tint the windows but it wasn't working. Rob asked one of the flight attendants and she didn't even know how to work them. Turns out, they hadn't reset them yet so none of them were working. This was a pain because it was hot and very bright and no one could do anything about it. If you were trying to watch a movie on the screen, good luck, you couldn't see it! Just before we landed in Calgary, the windows were reset and I pressed the button to make it as dark as possible and it was only partially shaded. So, there was no way you could get it dark all the way, just a little less bright. And then, as luck would have it, as I was playing with the window, seeing how dark it could get, the windows reset again and I couldn't get it back to the non tinted version. 🤦‍♀️

So glad it was only a 70-minute flight! :rolleyes2

881.jpg

882.jpg

It had been raining all day long and stopped just as we landed.

883.jpg

It was a super long walk to the luggage carousel, all three bags made it safely and then Rob went and got our car from Park2Go while we waited for him.

884.jpg

I had been texting with my brother, he was dropping off our Boo for us so we unloaded the car quickly and then I waited at the door.

I always miss her so much. It's the only bad part of a vacation for me.

885.jpg

The best part of any vacation is going back home to your own bed, your own shower and kitchen and most importantly, your dog!
loveshower.gif

886.jpg

That night, I ended up getting a fever, chills, sweats and my throat was really sore! The next day, Kira felt off, she said she was extremely fatigued and her muscles were really sore. We both tested positive on the at-home covid tests and five days later, Rob also tested positive. :sad1:

Kira was better after a week and was testing negative. :thumbsup2

It took me three full weeks to recover but I was testing negative a few days after Kira. Rob was sick for two weeks and tested negative at the end of that second week. :thumbsup2

As much as the covid part sucked, it was worth it because that was the best cruise I've ever taken, the best cruise Kira has ever taken and Rob's second favourite cruise, right behind the 10-night Southern Caribbean on the Fantasy in 2017. If he wasn't so cold all the time, it would have been his favourite. ;)

And it turns out that I will be on the Wonder again after all, in only a few weeks.
hapydancsmil.gif
This time I am going with two really good friends and I am so excited for them to experience what I just experienced. Minus the covid, I hope. :rolleyes1

I will not be writing a trip report but I will post some photos on my TA FB page.

So that's it for this one, folks. Thanks so much for following along on this adventure with us. I appreciate all of the comments and the likes. :grouphug:

Until next time, Adios Amoebas!

thankusmile.gif

That beef wellington sure looked well done!
Surprised no nexus line at YVR security even for domestic! I always hit the nexus line even when flying to YYC! Ugh.
Glad to hear everyone's over the covid, hope K's foot is ok!

Oh Cass, another amazing novel has come to an end, and I don't want it to!!! :snooty::sad: That is saying alot, for you to say that is your most favorite cruise, we've seen and been thru them all with you. But for those of us that have followed you for many, many years, I get it. You didn't need the shows. Or the Trivia. Or even the top notch service (although I'm very sure you loved every minute). All you needed was, the views and the pool at night. I GET YOU:cloud9:. I so get it. Its funny, because my soon to be daughter in law, grew up in Alaska and I've told her, all I want to do is a Disney cruise to Alaska. She says, noooo don't do it from a cruise, you've got to experience it by land! I understand both sides. I know myself, and I'd want to be spoiled by cruising, and not worry about one single thing. Are Kira and Rob jealous that you're going so soon again? Oh how lucky you are. Okay, so now I wait. I know we don't get another one and understand, but I know you, and hopefully in another year or so, I'll be sitting right here, enjoying every last moment with your amazing family. THANK YOU:hug: for sharing it all with us!!!

July 18th, Part 1

I woke up just before we went under Lions Gate Bridge. It was 4:45am as we passed under.

Once we passed under, I went back to bed until 7am.

I time lapsed our arrival from the bridge to Canada Place.

It was pretty funny and very cool that when we opened up our curtains, we saw CANADA! 🇨🇦

While Kira and I got ready and I packed up the last of our stuff, Rob went up to Cabanas for his final breakfast. They had closed the outside deck sadly.

864.jpg

It was about 20 minutes after Rob got back that they called our tag, Green Tink, so off we went. This was 8:27am.

Was the nexus line just not operating? I live in Vancouver so fly out of yvr all the time and always use the nexus line even for domestic flights.
