Canadian Buffoon's Semi-EPIC Vacation - 10/29 - Link to new TR!

Do you mean to tell me that mom didn’t really lose her daughter in the creepy hotel? :rotfl: This is so annoying! We had a teen girl go all the way to the front at SDD saying her family was up ahead, and we watched her walk right on the ride, ugh! There was no family ahead. People are just rude!

I think there was a 30th parade celebration in the morning, according to Lesley it was quite lame!

I love the ToT pictures!

The grilled cheese and soup look quite good, I have only had the sweet raspberry pop tart there.

I tried multi-quoting the "new" way and I never got the "insert quotes" option. :sad2:

Terror On The Tower

Even though the alarm
rang at a reasonable 7am,
(reasonable for Disney, at least)
getting up this morning
was a bit of a struggle.
I guess that'll happen when
you essentially skip a night
of sleep.

I get up earlier than that normally, but yeah, for Disney, that's "reasonable"

Elle woke up about
half an hour later.
I suspect she went
through the same range
of feelings as well.
At least she slept on the plane (guess being on her Dad's airline gave her peace).

But don't feel sorry for her,
she's young.
I am old.
Please reserve all your pity
for me. I deserve it.
I'm pitiful.
Your point?

We ran... at eight freaking
o'clock in the morning.
We sprinted over to the
bus stop only to see...
That it was a MK bus.
Running at 8 O'clock???? That's too early.

Rotten trick, Disney.
Well, we have two minutes
to catch our breaths.
Well... for me to catch my breath.
She's young and fit.
I'm old and fat.
You forgot crazy.

At 8:06am, right on time...
the display changed to 8:36am.
Ruh roh George!

It took us a bit, but we finally
figured out after this, that the
main bus stop was the last
stop on the OKW loop.
So if you wanted to make
sure you were getting on the bus,
you had to go to the first stop
which was a stone's throw away.
Obviously what happened to us
is that the bus filled up before
getting to the main stop
and passed it by.
I knew where the bus stop was, but I didn't know this. On the other hand, the two times (or three?) we stayed there, we didn't catch the bus at the main stop and definitely not when a special event was going on.

Rotten trick, Disney.
::yes::

I grabbed my VIP bus pass and
realized that in my sleepy state
last night, I'd forgotten to
charge it.
You're not doing so well with your VIP bus pass.

Once on the bus,
a gentleman spoke with us
and wanted to know if we
were heading to DHS to
take part in the 30th anniversary
celebrations.
Ruh roh George (again)

We arrived at the park at 8:55am.
Still before park opening, but
any hopes of being first in line...

DSC07242_zpshitdqbey.jpg

... yeah, not so much.
Looks almost the same as the front of the line at customs.

Still, one can always take the time
for a quick photo with Bo.

DSC07244_zpswt9ilj5t.jpg
Pretty young lady.

As we entered the park,
we noticed people already
lining Hollywood Blvd.
To this day, I really have
no idea of what was going
on that day.
I do know that there was
a lot of First Order marching
going on, so... maybe that was it?

DSC07245_zpsclrjdff4.jpg
I wonder if it's possible to find out what was going on after the fact. I can't image it was just a first order march considering that happens several times throughout the day. Intriguing.

Not that it mattered to us,
since we split off from the herd
and headed down Sunset, instead.

DSC07247_zps2fy4omeh.jpg
That's more like it.

Much more like it!
That's what I said!

I'm particularly pleased
with this shot I took of it.
Not one I've seen before
anyway.

DSC07249_zpspmdnqhac.jpg
Good shot!

A small girl of about 8-10
years of age scooted past
us as we waited.
A few seconds later, the kid's
mom snaked past the people
behind us chanting:
"My daughter. My daughter."
Yeah... I've seen this game before
and I didn't feel like playing.
I stood my ground and
didn't let her pass.
She again bleated:
"My daughter. My daughter."
I told her not to worry,
her daughter would wait for her.
Ugh...I hate all the people that use different scams to cheat the line. Last time I was waiting for the monorail, there was a teen (or early 20s) couple pushing their way through sayiby their friends were up there. I said something, but other folks just let them through. I wish people could just be decent instead of scamming other folks who are.

Unfortunately, this wasn't
her first time playing the game
and as soon as I turned to say
something to Elle, she scooted
past me and resumed her
battle cry of: "My daughter. My daughter."
Grrr.

Just the principal of the thing.
This

Okay, have to stop...gotta head to work.

Not nearly as bad as what I anticipate it being like for the kids and me to get to the 6:00 EMH ini Sept. OY!
Yeah, I saw that.
I figure, (for me) that a 4:30am
wake up time should do it.

Won't do that every day!
I'm counting on this! Gonna need it!
::yes::
I'm starting to doubt its existence. Just sayin'...
Just remember it wasn't charged...
Oopsies...
It gets worse
Always time for that!!!
Thought of you (among
a few others), when I told
her to pose with him. :)
Sauntering is the preferred method. Except at RD... then elbowing is the rule of mogation.
Absolutely!
And then eventually, you graduate
to the highest form of locomotion,
which, as everyone knows, is the sashay.
But sauntering is a perfectly acceptable,
lesser substitute.
But keep practicing! You might get there

some day!!
As you should be. Cool shot!!
Thanks! :)
I call B.S. Oldest trick in the book and one she can be sure ain't gonna work with a few. Gimme a break. :rolleyes2
Yeah, it was obviously a ploy.
But... like I said. She'd perfected
the art.
My favorite of all the rides for theming.
Hmmm...
I'll agree with you for the queue.
Although HM still wins (for me)

for overall theming.
Getting harder to do that one being old as dirt now.
:sad2:
You keep saying that,
but I don't see it.

HEY! I never noticed that!
You heard it here first!
Nope, nope, nopity NOPE!
Just a wee bit hot out.
"Overdone" comes to mind.
Actually... no.
At least I thought it fit in
fairly well.
I focused on it with that shot,

but only because I liked it. :)
Yeah... I JUST wrote about this on my TR. It was officially the hottest recorded May in over 100 years.
And I just read it there.
Yikes! That would explain it!

Given the previous discussion of hands up butts, I had to do a double take on that sentence.
Good!
I was very tempted to point
it out.
(Like "See above" or "Rectum? Darn near killed'm")
But I decided to leave it as a sort of

Easter egg for people to find. :)

Your TRs are killer to get behind on. So much to say! So little lunch break...
Is there anyone who isn't
affected on some level by that
first view of the castle?

I didn't think so.
If there are, I want nothing to do with them.

But this one is just so over the top
with the colours and designs of the
costumes and floats...
I absolutely adore this parade. I will watch it every time if I'm around. And sing the song. And wave to the princesses. And dance with the dancers. It's the best.

Is it just me?
Or does Belle look a little...
crazed, psycho-killer-esque?
She's definitely got crazy eyes going on there.

Methinks he doth protest too much.
Methinks thou shoulth narrate more paradeth

I'm not sure Naveen gets the whole
"You're in a parade" thing.
Well ya know. He's not from around here.

my fiancée made her appearance.
She definitely looks like she's avoiding you...

but I always think it
looks like a tea-pot.
Awesome. Now I'll never not see a tea pot.

Of course she spotted me
and blew me a kiss too.
I get that a lot.
What would Ariel think??

This is one of my favourite
things in MK. It just... fits.
Hmm...I put this in my quotes and can't remember why. That's what happens when I get too far behind.

So as the ride started,
I reached over and choked
her until she stopped talking.
#dadoftheyear

Except we didn't
get anything.
But....how?

I'll give you a hint:
It was 7DMT.
Barnstormer???

We saw this gentleman slowly,
precisely engraving a glass.
I only ever look at a glass with that much intensity when it's got wine in it.

Um... I may have had two and
a half glasses.

Okay, okay... two and a half
months isn't that long.
So a glass for each month?

Which explains why I look
like a moron and Elle looks
confused.
This is one of the best ride photos I've ever seen.

Time for some Citrus Swirls!
I hadn't had one before and...
Well, it was good, don't get me wrong,
but it wasn't nearly as good as a Dole whip.
Still good, though.
Next time try the citrus cream swirl. It's orange soft serve instead of orange slushy stuff and it's sooo good.

To this day, I really have
no idea of what was going
on that day.
I think there was a special 30th anniversary parade?

Just the principal of the thing.
Yeah well the problem is some people don't have principals so whatcha gonna do?

Once inside the hotel, I quickly
took a couple of pics.
I love the theming in there!
Nice shots!

Terrifying.
That lady next to Elle is NOT amused.

(old dude. front row. 2nd from right. "And stay off my lawn!")
He should hang out with the lady from the first ride.

I caught hers before it changed,
but missed out on mine.
Oh well.
I like how it just says Canada.

I snapped a
quick pic of this
newlywed couple.
I appreciate her devotion to wearing those ears on top of her sun hat.

But it was only recently, that I became
aware that there was also a
Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich.
I'd never had one, and this had
to be rectified.
Now I want one. I've recently grown equally as fond of the sandwiches as I am of the bars and it makes choosing really hard. But now they sell the bars in grocery stores so I guess I'm focusing on the sandwiches. Thanks Disney!

WHEW! All caught up.

But don't feel sorry for her,
she's young.
I am old.
Please reserve all your pity
for me. I deserve it.
I'm pitiful.

What time is the pity party?

At 8:06am, right on time...
the display changed to 8:36am.

It took us a bit, but we finally
figured out after this, that the
main bus stop was the last
stop on the OKW loop.

you had to go to the first stop
which was a stone's throw away.
Obviously what happened to us
is that the bus filled up before
getting to the main stop
and passed it by.

Rotten trick, Disney.

Ugh. I feel like those bus wait clocks have turned out to be both a blessing and a curse.

Once on the bus,
a gentleman spoke with us
and wanted to know if we
were heading to DHS to
take part in the 30th anniversary
celebrations.

Uh... I had no idea that was today.
Also... I was hoping for a low
attendance day.

Um...

Ha! Like low attendance days even exist anymore.

Ahhh...that's more like it. Maybe someday in 20 years when I'm not held down by the school calendar anymore I can see it like that again.

And I had to pause and take
a quick photo of the empty
(so far at least) queue.

Well, yeah. It doesn't happen often!

Yeah... I've seen this game before
and I didn't feel like playing.
I stood my ground and
didn't let her pass.
She again bleated:
"My daughter. My daughter."
I told her not to worry,
her daughter would wait for her.

:thumbsup2 Love it. I hate people sometimes. You're not more important than anyone else in the line.

Once inside the hotel, I quickly
took a couple of pics.
I love the theming in there!

They really did an awesome job.

Moments later we were in
the library listening to a
faux Rod Serling tell us
why we shouldn't ride
the elevators.

I think he knows of what he speaks.

Finally, the elevator settled
to the bottom of the shaft.
I, Elle and several other
people reacted similarly
by trying to console the
weeping child.
Voices rang out throughout
the elevator:
"It's over." "It's all done."
"It's finished now."

And then we shot up again.

Poor kid. Traumatized for life. She'll never trust anyone again.

Terrifying.
Who in their right minds
would subject themselves
to that more than once????

That is an excellent question. You'd have to be a moron.

So we went and rode it again.

:rolleyes1

(old dude. front row. 2nd from right. "And stay off my lawn!")

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Looks like you're trying to keep your head from falling off.

We marched over to RNRC.

:woohoo::rockband:

It was only 10:00am, one hour
after park opening, and the
standby line was already
up to 55 minutes!
Elle said she wanted to
go anyway, and we had time...
So in line, we got.

If only they had a paper FP system that made it easier to get on the headliner rides...

I'm not sure if it was me,
or Elle that pointed that
our names were on the
posters.

Cool! Sure, they're spying and tracking your every move, but you do get your name in lights!

When we were in the
sound studio, the CM said.
"Congrats on those back stage passes.
I've literally never seen that before."
:lmao:

:rotfl: That's awesome. I love the CM's who add their own bits like that.

Looks like you guys tried some ghost chili peppers or something.

Nope. Not yet, SDD.
Another time.
Not waiting in the sun
for 90 or more minutes!

:scared1: No way!

That's the only thing I think they got wrong with Toy Story Land...no shade whatsoever.

These unfortunate guys,
who'd obviously lost
a paintball battle to a
green team, slinked by.

Heh. Suckers.

Obviously, Babybel has paid
Disney a schwack of cash for
advertising.
I'm okay with that, actually.

The chairs were pretty clever!

I know. You're shocked.
"Heat? Oppressive? In Florida???"

Good thing I was sitting down!

Well... it's in the DIS bylaws
that you are not allowed to
write a TR without at least
once mentioning the heat
with one of the following adjectives:
Killing
Murdering
Punishing
Brutal
Oppressive
Terrible
Harsh
Crushing
Overwhelming
Unbearable
Unendurable
Intolerable
Stifling
Suffocating
Adjective of your choice provided
it is equal to or worse than any
in the provided list.

Sounds about right. Once you use those adjectives, it's the duty of the rest of the readers to remind the author that he/she is in Florida.

It didn't seem to matter where
we were, or where we went...
But we kept finding ourselves
either immediately in front
or behind them.
It happened at the bus stop,
at bag security,
at ToT,
and now again.

They were obviously stalking us.

They must have figured you were a seasoned DIS veteran and knew what you were doing.

We had another park to get to.
But not without a quick stop
with critters that are used to
having a hand up their butts.

Kinda like a lot of upper management.

Good leadership is a wonderful thing...if you can find it.

I'd always been told:
"You have to have a Mickey Ice Cream!"
And I have.
But it was only recently, that I became
aware that there was also a
Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich.

I definitely prefer that to the standard Mickey Bar. Never been huge fan of a crunchy hard chocolate shell on my ice cream. But a cookie...yes, please!

Okay... time to head to our next park.
I've certainly given you a clue where
we're headed next.
Let's see, next time, if you were right.

If you gave a clue, I didn't catch it! But then, I usually don't have a clue.

Given the previous discussion of hands up butts, I had to do a double take on that sentence.

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

And yes, I saw it. He must have like the chairs too.

Still more quoting to do, but I'm going to say you're heading to AK (where critters are NOT used to hands up their butts)

BTW...upper management typically has another appendage up their butts.

How about if you get stuck
on the side of the road...
miss your flight...
So they have to take you
back to Disney and put you
up at the GF... concierge level...
for your troubles.

Hmmmm???

OK, I'd definitely take that one!

12:00pm, 1:25pm, 2:35pm, 3:40pm,
4:40pm, 5:25pm, 6:10pm.

Thank you for these times. I've copied them down and hopefully we can catch a performance in October.

Only half?

Well, I didn't want to look too piggy there.

It took us a bit, but we finally
figured out after this, that the
main bus stop was the last
stop on the OKW loop.
So if you wanted to make
sure you were getting on the bus,
you had to go to the first stop
which was a stone's throw away.
Obviously what happened to us
is that the bus filled up before
getting to the main stop
and passed it by.

This is one thing that the values do so much better than the moderates or deluxes. I dislike the multiple bus stops and the disorganization/lack of lines at the stops. At the values, you at least have an idea if you will make it on the next bus or not since you can see how many people are in front of you.

Once on the bus,
a gentleman spoke with us
and wanted to know if we
were heading to DHS to
take part in the 30th anniversary
celebrations.

I almost changed my plans on this day so I could come and see the parade and ceremony for the 30th but in the end I kept my original plans. I'm very glad I did because I heard it was awful.

We arrived at the park at 8:55am.
Still before park opening, but
any hopes of being first in line...

Jim and I got second in line once but we were there an hour before opening.

As we entered the park,
we noticed people already
lining Hollywood Blvd.
To this day, I really have
no idea of what was going
on that day.
I do know that there was
a lot of First Order marching
going on, so... maybe that was it?

Nope, that was for the 30th anniversary "parade". I put parade in quotes because it was pretty lame from everything I read.

At least, if you're with someone,
you can hang onto them
if you're truly terrified.

:rotfl2: Laughing not only at you but at the couple next to you. She looks bored out of her mind and he looks terrified.

Yep. Just as scary.
oooohhhh… so scary!

:rotfl:The lady in front of you looks like she is smelling Cinderella's gloves!

Adjective of your choice provided
it is equal to or worse than any
in the provided list.

I used stupid hot in my TR for this day.

But we kept finding ourselves
either immediately in front
or behind them.

OK, story time. On one of my solo trips, I met a very nice couple from Canada on the bus to HS. They asked all about Georgia and even called me a Georgia Peach which made me giggle. We went our separate ways once we got to the park but I ended up running into them three or four times that day, including sitting in the car next to them at Sci Fi. I also spotted them later that week at AK but decided not to look like a crazy stalker so I didn't say hi.

But it was only recently, that I became
aware that there was also a
Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich.
I'd never had one, and this had
to be rectified.

I was worried that you would hate it and it would be all my fault since I talk them up all the time. Glad you liked it.

Whoops, forgot to quote the "Did you see it". I did. Marvin doesn't seem to approve of the Babybel seats like you did.

Oh, that stinks. Must've been tough at 11. Glad the girl looked out for/helped you!

Yes, it was a day where I learned the goodness of people exists and that I was a little daft. I should have looked at the bus number each time it passed. :rotfl2:

I'm not even sure how to reply to that except, I'm not, but thank you anyway.

Well, you have a vote from me for it to be a fact!

And proof some horrible people still exist also.

Gotta take the good with the bad unfortunatly, but I'm still here laughing and enjoying the moment.

Nope.
Now with the internet and
everyone having a cell phone,
kids generally know ahead of time

if the busses are canceled.

Kid these days have got it easy! In certain regards anyway. My niece has not had a moment without a cell phone since she got her first one.

I got my first one for Christmas in 2004 so I could take my sister to dance on public transit and could get a hold of my mom if needed. I lost it so I lost the responsibility and my mom found another mother to drive my sister. I saved up and got another one in 2007 and I lost it four days...FOUR days later snowmobiling with my pockets not zipped up. I saved again to get one in 2008 and have taken a lot better care since then.

Finally, after an eternity of waiting,
(elapsed time... less than 5 minutes)
my fiancée made her appearance.

DSC07150_zpslqwt4hkk.jpg

If you're not familiar
with the story, allow me
to elucidate.

Ariel and I had a rough
start to our relationship.
First, my kid tagged along
making it awkward to put
my moves on... uh...
woo her.
But I solved that problem.

DSC09609_zpsjsvuekxz.jpg

Then I tried again when
I wasn't... encumbered with child.

PhotoPass_Visiting_MK_7804263630_zpshczddy07.jpg

Came on too strong.
Ariel's just not that kinda fish.

Finally, I realized what I had to do.
I got down on one knee and proposed.

ariel1_zpshpp2pwza.jpg

Sure, my kid wasn't too happy
about it, but she'll get over it
when Ariel brings her fresh
lobster and stuff.

Ariel and I are good now,
I think.
I just have to make sure
I introduce her to my
other kid some day.

Meanwhile, here she is,
gleefully showing off her
engagement gift:

DSC07153_zpsnuzzw11n.jpg

It didn't take her long for
her to spot me in the crowd.
I didn't want to bother her while
she's working, but...

DSC07155_zpsihhgp2ui.jpg

She blew me a quick kiss
and coasted on by.
We weren't worried.
We knew our time would come.

DSC07156_zps3nzhljs9.jpg

:rotfl:

You two will have quite the story to tell your grandfishies some day!

Even though I didn't get it
until later, I already had a
sneaking suspicion that I'd
be getting an AP.
So what do AP-ers do?

"Just let me get my camera
<Plink!> <splash!> ready..."

That camera has not been your friend this trip...

It was time for our second FP
of the day. Any guesses where?
I'll give you a hint:
It was 7DMT.

Peter Pan?

Your brother met you on the Mine Train?

And we were in luck!
Elena Taylor has been working
in glass for a little over five years.
She was creating a vase
for some guests.

IMG_1675_zpsj80sljls.jpg

IMG_1676_zpsg8ysciri.jpg

That's the girl we watched and have pictures of! She is excellent! And I told you they actually blow the glass ::yes::

We skipped over to HM,
where I had not heard that
they were taking photos now.
Which explains why I look
like a moron and Elle looks
confused.

420571271_zpsgbewrute.jpg

:rotfl2:

I love that they added this and nobody knows where the heck the camera is! It makes for the best pictures...

So... up here, we have snow on
the ground for almost half the year.
When a goldfish dies, and you have
an overly sensitive kid who won't
let it be "buried at sea" or a hamster
bites the biscuit and she refuses to let
Hammie go to that dumpster in
the sky...
Your freezer becomes a temporary morgue.
Last rites included for an extra fee.

Ewwwww. We have a pool and keep finding dead animals…birds, mice, chipmunks…in there. I have become so accustomed to just scooping them out and flinging them in a bush :crazy2: I guess it's different with pets though, although I've flushed more than my share of goldfish:laughing:

We had a great skipper.
She even made me the captain!
Nope. Not kidding.
Then she told me that if the
boat sinks, the skipper skips out
and the captain goes down
with the ship.

Dang it!!!
At one point we were surrounded
by hungry hungry hippos.
But our skipper said she would
scare them off just like she did
with all her relationships.
She called out "I love you!"
and it worked!

She sounds fun!

Time for some Citrus Swirls!
I hadn't had one before and...
Well, it was good, don't get me wrong,
but it wasn't nearly as good as a Dole whip.
Still good, though.

Yum! I love the swirls!

We arrived at the resort at 10:15pm.
We got off at the first stop,
which was only a minute walk
from the main building,
which in turn was only a minute
walk to our own building.
We were in building 64, room 6433.

DSC07237_zpsx6kcfgoi.jpg

DSC07238_zps4ireysue.jpg

Lovely room :goodvibes

Notice the package on the table?

I do now.

I was so excited, I almost
shot my eye out!
Underneath were these Peach Buds.
Hard candies that he'd tried to find
for me the first time we met in Atlanta.
Oh ho! Sot that's what he meant!

IMG_1708_zpssqz9mlkk.jpg

And I don't have a photo of it,
but he bought a mug for Elle.
He'd asked what her favourite
movie was and I'd told him
that it was Lady and the Tramp.
(Which also explains why we
ate at Tony's now, doesn't it?)
So Doc got her one of those mugs
that are all black but when exposed
to heat, reveals a picture.
It was a very well done, intricate
scene of the village where the
movie takes place.
We boiled some water and
watched it appear.

That was so nice of him!

I opened the fridge and...

Gross!!

Someone had left their leftovers
in there!
I could see a tinfoil wrapped object.
I was glad that at least it didn't stink,
but who knew how long it had been
in there?
I hoped that it was only from earlier
that day when the previous guests
would've moved out.
I picked up the offending package
and...
Well, if it doesn't stink, I can just toss
it in the trash, but if it does, I'm going
to have to find another trash, outside.

I unwrapped it and...

Oh. My. God.

Doc had baked us a cheesecake

Omg, can you imagine if you threw it out??

It took us a bit, but we finally
figured out after this, that the
main bus stop was the last
stop on the OKW loop.
So if you wanted to make
sure you were getting on the bus,
you had to go to the first stop
which was a stone's throw away.
Obviously what happened to us
is that the bus filled up before
getting to the main stop
and passed it by.

Rotten trick, Disney.

Annndddd that's why I won't stay at resorts with multiple bus stops anymore. I literally hate that, so annoying.

We moved on and found the
end of the line just around
the bend (past the dried up
fountain area.)
A small girl of about 8-10
years of age scooted past
us as we waited.
A few seconds later, the kid's
mom snaked past the people
behind us chanting:
"My daughter. My daughter."
Yeah... I've seen this game before
and I didn't feel like playing.
I stood my ground and
didn't let her pass.
She again bleated:
"My daughter. My daughter."
I told her not to worry,
her daughter would wait for her.

Now, I don't have a problem
with letting a parent and child
go through.
I've been there.
Kids gotta go to the bathroom
at the worst possible times.
But when it's obviously
a ploy just to cut through
the line... I get annoyed.
If you're comfortable enough
about letting your child go
ahead of you, unsupervised...
Then you're comfortable
enough to have them wait
for you until you get there.

Unfortunately, this wasn't
her first time playing the game
and as soon as I turned to say
something to Elle, she scooted
past me and resumed her
battle cry of: "My daughter. My daughter."

What?? I've never experienced this.

Once inside the hotel, I quickly
took a couple of pics.
I love the theming in there!

DSC07253_zps3pkxnd1t.jpg

Great shots! I love it in there too

(old dude. front row. 2nd from right. "And stay off my lawn!")

Ha!

We got inside eventually.
I love how this room has
the guitar columns.

DSC07264_zpsxhozigiq.jpg

I'm not sure if it was me,
or Elle that pointed that
our names were on the
posters.
I fairly obviously photoshopped
her name in there.
That's because I don't post
her real name.
But it was there. :)

Wait. I just got really confused (it doesn't take much)…Elle is not her real name?

Obviously, Babybel has paid
Disney a schwack of cash for
advertising.
I'm okay with that, actually.

IMG_1719b_zpsblpu31vz.jpg

How to make a chair.
Break Babybel in half.
stick a toothpick in and
tape a puzzle piece on.
Voila.

I kinda love that.

I love all of this too! I cannot wait for the new TS Restaurant!

And so frustrating.
That too. :sad2:
I should hope not.
Stand by for further...
Cute photo with Bo.
:goodvibes
Another change. I remember when everyone was headed down Sunset Blvd elbow to elbow. But since TOT is my favorite ride I'm ok with less crowds here.
::yes::
I was pretty happy
to see that (mostly)
empty street.
Yeah! This is my jam!
I know!
Very nice!
Thanks! :)
I'm a rule follower so this really bothers me. Good of you to "Let it Go".
I remember one time,
this man came up and I
got in his way.
He literally shoved me
to the side and angrily
growled that his family
was up ahead (which I'm
sure they were.)

Ya gotta choose your battles.
Me too. Soooo much to look at.
Love it in there.
I want to just look around
in the queue for a while,

but the line keeps moving!
Poor kid. I can see her in your picture.
Yep.
She was not happy.

That's what I would have done.
I know this too!
I love the Elle is playing along too.
Um... well....
She's not.
She was screaming and
laughing and having

a great time. :goodvibes
This is really neat. Not that I'll see it for myself. I don't do RRC anymore. The upside down loop messes with my equillibrium.
I know that I don't have
very much longer before
I won't want to or won't

be able to ride it anymore.
This sounds so cute. I can't wait to see if for myself. We really want to try & grab some food here.
It is cute. :)
Danielle really wants exactly what Elle got.
Well, according to Elle,
she'll like it. :)

The Mickey Ice Cream bar is my go to, but I'm willing to try the ice cream sandwich.
I really am not sure
which one I prefer.

I need more testing.
Yes I did. Was he hungry too?
He didn't say. ;)

Yes. They're called monsters. :snooty:
:lmao:
On this, we agree!
To match the semi-epic trip?
Yep!
YES! And to think Disney is a family-friendly place :sad2:
Considering all the crying kids and
overheated and emotionally
overspent parents I see...

I'm not quite so sure how

"family friendly" Disney is! :scared:
I wonder if they're hiring? I have an impeccable resume.
OMG!
Tracy!!!

You're lucky I'm not 30
years younger and

1,500 miles closer.
Awww, and here I called @docsoliday1 a good egg just the other day. Further proof.
::yes::
What a great start to your trip! :goodvibes
More to come. :)

The people were lined up for a parade Disney put on for the 30th. They live streamed it and it was lame :rotfl2:.
Ah! Well, I'm glad I didn't
stick around for it, then.
Elle hadn't been in 10 years,

so rides were the #1 priority.
However Disney Parks Blog did have a contest and I entered then a couple of weeks ago this showed up in the mail. I was surprised I actually won. It is a nice heavy stainless steel water bottle.

That's so cool!
Congrats on the win!! :goodvibes

I hate it when people do that to cut the line.
I love the Baby Belle chairs.
I did too!
(Why I took the photo. :)

I wish I were eating one of those Mickey ice cream sandwiches right now.
Who doesn't!?!?!?
I hope the Skyliner is operational in Sept/Oct when we are there.
It should be.
It's supposed to be ready
in time for SWGE, which
is supposed to be open

in August.

Do you mean to tell me that mom didn’t really lose her daughter in the creepy hotel? :rotfl:

I hope she did.

;)
This is so annoying! We had a teen girl go all the way to the front at SDD saying her family was up ahead, and we watched her walk right on the ride, ugh! There was no family ahead. People are just rude!
The worst I experienced was
on RNRC.
We were in line... in the
single rider line when I felt
a tap on my shoulder
followed by an "excuse me".
I automatically moved over.
Three teens went by.

It was the single rider line!!!

:sad2:
I think there was a 30th parade celebration in the morning, according to Lesley it was quite lame!
You're the second person
to say that.
Glad we didn't wait for it.
I love the ToT pictures!
Thanks! :)
The grilled cheese and soup look quite good, I have only had the sweet raspberry pop tart there.
She really liked it. :)

I tried multi-quoting the "new" way and I never got the "insert quotes" option. :sad2:
Huh. Odd.
No idea why it doesn't
work for you.
I get up earlier than that normally, but yeah, for Disney, that's "reasonable"
::yes::
At least she slept on the plane (guess being on her Dad's airline gave her peace).
I also ordered a smooth tide.
Your point?
Oh, I think I made it. ;)
Running at 8 O'clock???? That's too early.
So is running at
anytime o'clock.

You forgot crazy.
That is implied.
Ruh roh George!
Yep. :sad2:
I knew where the bus stop was, but I didn't know this. On the other hand, the two times (or three?) we stayed there, we didn't catch the bus at the main stop and definitely not when a special event was going on.
Lesson learned for all
of us, then. :)

You're not doing so well with your VIP bus pass.
Nope.
But I'll have it all charged
up for the next day.
Ruh roh George (again)
Correct.
Looks almost the same as the front of the line at customs.
Pretty much!
Pretty young lady.
Yes she is. :)
I wonder if it's possible to find out what was going on after the fact. I can't image it was just a first order march considering that happens several times throughout the day. Intriguing.
A couple of the ladies
mentioned that it was a parade...
that was apparently lame.
So it sounds like

we didn't miss much.
That's more like it.
::yes::
Good shot!
Thanks!
It seems to be part of the younger
generation's mojo.
Scamming others is a badge
of honour, rather than

a mark of shame.

Your TRs are killer to get behind on. So much to say! So little lunch break...
Pitter patter, better
get at 'er!

If there are, I want nothing to do with them.
Correct.
What is wrong with
those people?

(if they exist.)
I absolutely adore this parade. I will watch it every time if I'm around. And sing the song. And wave to the princesses. And dance with the dancers. It's the best.
So you're saying you like it?
She's definitely got crazy eyes going on there.
Do not get in between
Belle and her air conditioning.

Methinks thou shoulth narrate more paradeth
Methinkth Dithney should
payeth me.

Well ya know. He's not from around here.
Okay. I'll give him a pass.
She definitely looks like she's avoiding you...
No, no. She was looking
for me.

Awesome. Now I'll never not see a tea pot.
 You're welcome.
What would Ariel think??
Oh, she knows.
Hang on, lemme find
something she wrote recently.
Ah! Here it is:
Of course all the princesses are madly in love with my fiancé, pkondz. How could they not be? But I know he loves no one but me.
Those other girls can only dream of catching a man like him.

So there you have it.
Hmm...I put this in my quotes and can't remember why. That's what happens when I get too far behind.
It was about the piano playing
at MK.

#dadoftheyear
Where's my award???
But....how?
Willpower*.

(*translation: stupidity)
Barnstormer???
Yes!
I only ever look at a glass with that much intensity when it's got wine in it.
:lmao:
So a glass for each month?
I am nothing if
not precise.

This is one of the best ride photos I've ever seen.
 Thanks!
Next time try the citrus cream swirl. It's orange soft serve instead of orange slushy stuff and it's sooo good.
Now you tell me!
I had no idea!
I think there was a special 30th anniversary parade?
Yes, apparently there was,
and apparently it was lame
and apparently I say

"apparently" a lot.

Image result for apparently kid

Yeah well the problem is some people don't have principals so whatcha gonna do?
No kidding.

Well, I try to stop them.
Nice shots!
Thanks! :)
That lady next to Elle is NOT amused.
No, she's not!
(I almost wrote something
about her, too.)
He should hang out with the lady from the first ride.
They could yell at people
to stay off their lawn, together.

I like how it just says Canada.
::yes::
I appreciate her devotion to wearing those ears on top of her sun hat.
I didn't even
notice that!

Now I want one. I've recently grown equally as fond of the sandwiches as I am of the bars and it makes choosing really hard. But now they sell the bars in grocery stores so I guess I'm focusing on the sandwiches. Thanks Disney!
They don't sell them here...
So I'll still have the same
dilemma of what

to buy next time.
WHEW! All caught up.
I should quickly post
another update
just to mess with you.

;)

What time is the pity party?
3 o'clock.
Same time as the parade.
Choose wisely.
Ugh. I feel like those bus wait clocks have turned out to be both a blessing and a curse.
I mostly like them.
And are usually fairly accurate.

Ha! Like low attendance days even exist anymore.
It's called rope drop.
Ahhh...that's more like it. Maybe someday in 20 years when I'm not held down by the school calendar anymore I can see it like that again.
I just told you.
It's called rope drop.

Well, yeah. It doesn't happen often!
Gotta take advantage
when these rare events
happen, you know.
:thumbsup2 Love it. I hate people sometimes. You're not more important than anyone else in the line.
It's my standard line.
Sometimes it works.

They really did an awesome job.
::yes::
I think he knows of what he speaks.
He does.
I've had my ups and downs
on that elevator.
Poor kid. Traumatized for life. She'll never trust anyone again.
Welcome to the real
world, kid. :snooty:

That is an excellent question. You'd have to be a moron.

:rolleyes1
:rolleyes1

Looks like you're trying to keep your head from falling off.
I forgot to tighten
the bolts.

If only they had a paper FP system that made it easier to get on the headliner rides...
You should pitch that
idea to Disney!

Cool! Sure, they're spying and tracking your every move, but you do get your name in lights!
Worth it!
:rotfl: That's awesome. I love the CM's who add their own bits like that.
::yes::
Looks like you guys tried some ghost chili peppers or something.
:scared1: No way!

That's the only thing I think they got wrong with Toy Story Land...no shade whatsoever.
Maybe there are trees that
need to mature?
Not sure.

But, dang it's hot there.
The chairs were pretty clever!
I liked them! :)
Good thing I was sitting down!
Sorry. Next time I'll warn you.
Sounds about right. Once you use those adjectives, it's the duty of the rest of the readers to remind the author that he/she is in Florida.
::yes::
They must have figured you were a seasoned DIS veteran and knew what you were doing.
That explains it.
When they got ahead of us,
we never saw them again.

Obviously took a wrong turn.
Good leadership is a wonderful thing...if you can find it.
Such a thing exists???
I definitely prefer that to the standard Mickey Bar. Never been huge fan of a crunchy hard chocolate shell on my ice cream. But a cookie...yes, please!
Exactly!
If you gave a clue, I didn't catch it! But then, I usually don't have a clue.
Everyone knows this, Mark.

Everyone.
And yes, I saw it. He must have like the chairs too.
;)
