Can you hear the music outside the American Pavilion during the Eat to the Beat Concert series?

We'll be in Epcot when they're having a concert going on in the American Pavilion. Wasn't planning on sitting through the whole show so was wondering if you can hear the music outside the pavilion if we want to sit and listen.

You absolutely can hear it. I've sat at the tables by Regal Eagle and those closer to the food booth to enjoy a concert. Also, depending on how popular the concert is, you may be able pop into the last row of the theater for a bit, then pop out - I've done that as well.

Very easy. We have sometimes stood along the back of the theater to watch a song on or two depending on artist. Last week were there when the Tiffany performance was just starting and the theater wasn't even half full. We could hear some of the concert pretty well down by Japan until we went into the store. So definitely plenty of options even if the theater would be busier.

The decibel level has been so high at times, we've had to leave. Now we wear special earplugs that lower the decibel level while still allowing us to hear the music clearly (not like normal ear plugs where everything is muffled).

Once when we walked out of a Starship concert with decibel levels of 110+ (unsafe when sustained for more than a few minutes), we walked back from Epcot to Studios and could clearly hear the music, to the point of being able to easily distinguish the lyrics, on the walkway between Boardwalk and Studios.

We love the concerts, and often go over to Epcot in the evening specifically for them and nothing else, but have been surprised that the sound engineers do not control the levels a bit better. Especially with so many children in the area - it can be quite damaging.

Yes, you can hear it pretty clearly from a few countries away. You could definitely grab a table nearby and still be able to hear quite well.

We once came out of The American Adventure show and stood by the fountain listening to the (fantastic) ELO show, which was winding up. We had a lot of company! :cool1:
