Can I take QS food into an indoor QS location to eat?

We'll be visiting in September and I know it will be nothing like our January trip where we had temps in the 40s and 50s:laughing:

With that said, anticipating the high temperatures, I'm considering having lunch at the new Harambe Marketplace or Flame Tree BBQ. I know that both of these locations only offer outdoor seating. Can I take this food to go and eat in, say, Pizzafari or is this frowned upon?

Thanks!!

You will actually be escorted out of the park if you do so.

Of course you can providing they have enough table room! I completely want to eat in comfort and not be hot - and have done so many times on this trip! No one said anything!

Oh my gosh hahaha I read your first comment and was like :scared1: -it's not like I'm bringing a selfie stick on BTMR:rotfl:!!

Thank you for your response! I feel much better and less like a rule breaker:)

So you just ask for your food to go and then take in over to an indoor location?

I've never seen anyone get food packed up to go at Flame Tree, but go for it. September is slow, should be plenty of seating at Pizzafari. You could use your selfie stick to take a selfie while carrying your tray of BBQ to Pizzafari, with the Tree of Life in the background.

Just so you know, there is nice seating out back of Flame Tree. If I remember correctly there are some covered areas with fans and there is a nice waterview. Both times we have eaten there it has been in early September, so it was hot and muggy and we were fine.

while you can take your food there remember you will have to walk there with your food on trays not packed in bags with open drinks. not something I would want to try

Very true. The walk from Flame Tree BBQ to Pizzafari with at least one tray of food and several open drinks (no lids are provided at Animal Kingdom) will not be easy.

We have eaten at Flame Tree a lot and I agree with the PP who said the area is quite nicely shaded and there are several pavilions as well. Plus, all the condiments for Flame Tree (like BBQ sauce) are provided at those pavilions. For the OP - you might want to check out the seating area before you order food and decide if you want to stay instead of walking across the park. For me, there's nothing better than sitting along the lake, under the trees, looking out across the water, seeing Expedition Everest and hearing the screams each time a train goes down the mountain. All while chomping down on some ribs and chicken and swilling a nice cold beer.

Both Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus are so big inside that they will not run out of tables if you walk in with your food. I'm skeptical that you'll get any "to go" containers. You'll get a carrying tray. I would just open some napkins and put them over your plates. Drinks won't have lids. If you have your refillable mugs you could pour your drinks into them.

I'm with others, though. We visit in September almost exclusively and ate at Flame Tree a lot. There's lots of covered and/or shaded seating. Heat just isn't an big issue where Flame Tree seating is located, down along the water. As others suggested, send someone to recon the seating area before you order.

We have actually done this a few times. I love Flametree BBQ, but my kid does not love it. A few times DH and I have ordered at Flametree, gotten our food and walked over to Restaurantosaurs. Once there, we did order DD a meal so technically we purchased food there too. We also waited to get our drinks at Restaurantasaurs as we knew carrying drinks would be difficult. No one said anything and we had no problems. CS places don't have any "to go" packaging so you do have to walk with the trays and open food containers.

I'm not going to slam the OP... But I personally would not do it. If I bought my food at Flame Tree or at the new Harambe Marketplace I would eat my purchase there. Just the same as if I bought a meal from a vendor at a hot dog cart, I'm not carrying it into a McDonalds to eat my food. This is just me. I'm sure if you decide to do it they will not say anything to you. However, if the place is packed though as someone else stated, I'm sure the patrons of that restaurant won't be very happy if they can't find a seat.

Unless something has changed, there is no to go packaging. You are on your own getting it to the other place.

Pretty sure OP will have her selfie-stick, she can use that to push her way through the crowd and beat back the seagulls that descend on her food tray.

Absolutely. I don't think it's a problem at all, especially with the ample seating in both places and lower crowds like January. My girls and I actually order from different places so we have to cross somewhere. We order one, carry it to another, order the next and all eat together.

I would not be happy if I bought my lunch/dinner from the indoor restaurant you choose and I couldn't find a seat because folks have brought their lunches/dinners in from other locations for the air conditioning.

I see your point. We go during slower times and typically eat around 10:30/11 so I don't anticipate this being an issue :) Obviously if tables were sparse, we would take the proper action.
