Hi Cthia
<B>Instructions for Posting Sound</B>
First you have to find sound files. There are lots of midi file sites.
To find midi file sites, all you have to do is a search for...
midi files, or fifties midis, or Aerosmith midis, Disney midis...
anything like that...just type in what you want
Midi files work well because they are smaller in size than wav files (generally), and mp3 files., and load faster.
When you find them, you download them to your computer by "right" clicking on the song link, and then clicking "save as".
Then you have to upload the file to your webspace, if you have some...for instance, aol homepages.
You sometimes can link to a file on another site, but the net police are cracking down on that. (bandwidth theft). More and more sites seem to be getting closed down because of this, or they are requiring membership to link to their files.
But, there are still bunches to grab files from, I guess. Just watch out in case they change the file names, lol.
Anyway, here's the code I use...
The music playing on this page:
substitute < for ( and substitute > for )
(bgsound src="http://hometown.aol.com/wishydoo/amarillo.mid")
There is one space between bgsound and src.
The stuff between the "'s is the url (address/location) of where the sound file is stored/uploaded.
<B>You add the sound to your post by typing the code into the dialog box. (the same place you type your reply to a thread)</B>
Come to think of it, I bet there are instructions for adding music to posts in one of the stuck threads at the top of this Tech forum.
AND...Dodie has a good thread going on the CB regarding warning people that your thread contains sound.
It is here...

I appreciate the warnings too. I'm hoping that my thread title here is a good indicator that it contains sound, lol.
