The bigger question is who takes Bob Chapek’s job.
I seem to recall that Iger wanted to do this a lot earlier, but was convinced to stay longer...the announcement does seem sudden, but maybe we wanted to get the final clock running?
Yes Iger has wanted to retire several times. He was bound by the Fox deal to stay with the company until 2021. He is still doing that with this move.I seem to recall that Iger wanted to do this a lot earlier, but was convinced to stay longer...the announcement does seem sudden, but maybe we wanted to get the final clock running?
5:30pm live interview with Iger on MSNBC. Tune in!
Iger has never really had a huge interest in stuff like this for the parks. He will still be Chairman into 2021 too. It's too bad Iger won't be there for the 50th next year. Bummer.
